Anybody having trouble with reports to Maritz

Is anyone having a problem getting report through on the Maritz site?

I did last night when I was inputting 9 bank shops but the four I did today were okay. The one that hung up last night took about 5 minutes for the glitch to clear and then it went through with no other issues. Maybe their server has the hiccups.

I reported on five shops this afternoon and had no problems.

I did 17 over the course of the day, no problems.

Between midnight ET and 5 a.m. any day of the week without fail the site is slower and more frequently gives those horendous "unknown error -500" messages.

It also absolutely hates photos any bigger than a few hundred k.

I have kvetched about this to "live" staff and been told they hate those -500 messages themselves!

That's what I was getting the other night. Even when I clicked the "contact us" link, which was a bit annoying.

They are probably doing some type of maintenance or backups during that time.

I've submitted several over the past couple days no issues at all. The only time I've ever had issues with them was when my photos were to large.

I had trouble again last night and kept getting the "500 error". I finally got 4 of them through. The other 2 I clicked I'm stuck. I have Picture Manager and resize all my photos.

It must be something with my computer.

Only time I have had problems is when my pictures are too large.

I found out what was wrong. It was my internet connection. Thanks for all your responses.

I'm doing a couple banks (...OD protection shop... $9.50) that are beyond 30 miles (about 45). What is a resonable request for incentive pay?

Are you doing a couple as in 2 or more than 2? If you have enough to make a route with close shops, then a smaller fee would be adequate, however if only doing 2, you would need more to cover your out of pocket costs. Probably at least 4 gallons of gas round trip at roughly $4 a gallon...I would ask for at least that.

Maritz's servers are slower and often bogged down by report submissions after midnight ET until 6 a.m. and most often on weekends when I presume no one is in the office to do restarts when servers crash. Been this way since I started working with them in 2006. Hasn't changed.

I shoot full-frame high definition, usually 10-16 megapixels on a DSLR then shrink it down to 640x480 to submit. The detail is better. Don't shoot low definition just to submit or you're likely to get a request for a reshoot or another photo. If you submit larger image sizes you'll get a -500 unknown error on submitting and time out. That has been my experience at least.

I took me 8 hours to input 10 reports one day. I got a faster Wi-Fi and that helped considerably. Their IT people claim we are sending too big a file for the photos but I have gotten the 500 error reports before I have even uploaded the pictures. When it gets really slow I blast them an email or two (I have been told they have been shared company wide) and I go to bed. The report being late is on them if the system won't take the photos.

I have always been paid.
