When the USPS Changes from *Company X* to *Company Y*....

Wow. To get to the post office which delivers my mail, I have to drive past two other post offices and it takes me at least 20 minutes each way. If that ends up being the case, I doubt that I will be doing those large box shops since my post office is so out of the way. A good thing is that my post office is not one which I have ever been sent to shop. I guess I will just have to wait and see how this all works out.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008

I have Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens. I am unable to answer the other questions right now.

Does that mean your colleague has Manhattan & the Bronx, or someone else?

Just had our weekly call, the latest news is that the new target date is Oct. 19th, still slow due to getting the new survey through the approval process at the end client.

With that said, there are going to be a couple of other projects released on the same board before then. I don't have the location list but there will be shops out there for some of you!

Ummmm.....you might want to think about or get some guidance on what "going postal" actually means and then re-think your posting. The connotation/implication is something that is disturbing.

The first MSC did leave the large dimensional packages at my house and I did not have to go pick them up. I guess it depends on your carrier or your post office on how that works.
I'm looking to getting my feet wet with at least some of the scenarios since I am at the post office all the darn time. Can someone explain to me how to determine zones? I've looked on the USPS site, but I think it may be more information than my going back to college at age 32 plus getting married brain can handle.

Silver certified for 11 years and happily shopping Arizona!
LOL You must have found the USPS page that will do exactly that to people. The best way is to input your origin point zip code (first three digits) and destination using the USPS Postal Zone Chart - [postcalc.usps.gov].

Simply put distance shipped is the way they determine zones. Although the shops are temporarily on hold due to a change of MSPs and guideline revision, right now they will fully reimburse for packages (A and B shops) shipped up to about 400 miles which is the limit of Zone 4. So under those guidelines you wanted to ship to zones 1-4 for full reimbursement.

The new guidelines may change a bit. We shall see.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
The Mobi app looks pretty cool, I haven't downloaded it yet but what a great way to save on paper and ink. Not to mention you can sit in your car and enter information on your phone and people will just think you are texting, LOL!
I got an email the shops were up but all I can see are zip codes. When I try to get information about what the shop is, I get no info except the number of questions. I think we also crashed their website, it keeps erroring out.
I got the email as well and I went ahead and applied for the three locations I did with the previous MSC. I figured how different can they be?
Must have crashed it. The email has a good crop within distance, but I get nothing when I go to the site and search. Can they all be gone in 20 minutes?
The website is overloaded...keeps timing out and can't apply for the shops in my area. I guess we all got too excited and crashed it!
The three I applied for show under my apps and are gone from the site. So perhaps a lot of people have applied already in your area and they are gone :<(
No, now they are showing and I am applying for them, but I keep getting an "application failure" message. I have to hit the home button and my apps are showing.

The system has crashed...try tomorrow afternoon
I want to get my applications in first. I am toggling between websites doing other things and waiting for the webpages to load...I have 4 applications so far. I want to get at least 8 in before anyone else in my area has a chance to do so, as there are lots of shoppers in my area.
I cannot even get on to the "shops available" page. I just keep getting error messages! We crashed it for sure!

Shopping Central Jersey Shoreline. WHAT? I'm an adult?! When did this happen?! How do I make it stop?!
Try a different browser. I started out with IE and then changed to Mozilla. It's working a little better, though still slow to load and I still keep getting error messages--but I have been able to get in 5 location applications.
Firefox isn't working for me.

hmmm...try Google Chrome? Firefox isn't working WELL for me but I am having some progress, by clicking on apply, getting an error message, clicking on home, then clicking on open opportunities, rinse and repeat. It's not ideal but oh well. I hope they get the bugs ironed out quickly.
