True Jas! But how are the double burgers vegan? And the milkshakes?

I would eat my fries, his fries and half of my burger. He would eat his Double Double, the rest of my burger and my milkshake.

I love five guys but I'm having trouble getting signed up with the MSC. I think I know what company does the shops, but I only signed up with their theater shops right now. I have been told by the MSC that there is two parts of the company, the theater and then the other shops. Am Speaking of the same company?
I for one, do not like their fries. They are simply not crispy enough for me. I've stopped taking this shop, even though its advertised constantly and I could always get it. I don't eat beef( but I do eat chicken and fish). My spouse ate the burger once and she got very ill. I might take it if a milkshake was included, but it never is. Its also never bonused, although its been available for weeks.
It depends where you live. I take too many 5 guys, though less then I used to. I picked up a few in Florida for no bonuses. In Ontario I only take them for (minor) but enough of a bonus to make it worthwhile to do them.

I also do IIFYM, and make bunless burgers and little fries fit.

I only ever get bonus offers by phone. I never see bonused shops on the site in my area. But even with the bonus, if I didn't like the food, I'm not sure the shop would be worth doing.

I'll call, or check the webpage the first time I go to a location. But once I know the hours. No. I do not call. Like you I have never had an issue answering no to that question on the report.

Thank you! I'm glad to know this now, because, call me a bit overcautious but even though it isn't a flagged question I call every time just for fear of being marked down.and I've felt stupid every time too because I know the answer. I guess I can stop, unless it's a location I haven't shopped before.

Im doing a five guys right now, on my way. First time with (the MSC). I did not see a requirement for a photo of food. Can someone please clarify this for me? There form is new to me and I am hoping I did not miss anything. The shop looks pretty basic.

Mod note: Please remember not to link the MSC with the client. This is a violation of Forum rules and probably also a breach of your ICA

No photo requirement. Report takes me 10 minutes since I know it by heart. Five Guys is an easy shop.

Mod note: Please do not compound an error by repeating a Forum breach...in this case by copy/paste a post which linked the MSC with the client.

No photos. Pretty simple shop. the weirdest part for me has always been watching the fry guy and seeing if he shakes the fries the right number of times.
Cakicakes, I think you can get a grilled cheese smiling smiley I don't like their fries much, either. I pick around and eat the crispiest ones and the rest go in the trash.

Honny, I am not sure if they have a veggie burger but if they don't, they should put one on the menu. I will eat a double bacon cheeseburger...bring on the beef!
JAS, I'm not a vegetarian, but I do eat them.

My friend was vegan. He was the best to go to a burger joint with. There was no such thing as gluttony with him.

Double Double and Animal Style are specific to In-N-Out.

About the leftover fries, I chop them up really small and use them for hash browns. I also get the Cajun spice on the side as I like my fries just lightly dusted. I take the rest of the spice home (as it is in a cup with a lid) and use it for cooking.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.

If you throw food away into the trash, the food decomposes and creates methane, a contributor to global warming. Better to feed it to the birds so they can turn it to poop and the poop can return back to nature where the poop's nutrients will nourish the growth of plants.

Also 25-31% of all food produced in America gets wasted, through throwing away visual imperfections of the produce and by consumers throwing away old food left in their fridges. America is one of the leaders in food waste and this needs to change for the sake of our future. Who will think of the children? I will think of the children. I compost.

Hey Adore, you aren't supposed to name the MSC and the client in the same thread. It's a violation of your IC and this forum. Remove it, please.
I don't think they have a veggie burger per se but they do have a meatless burger where you get all the toppings but no meat.
This is only true if our trash went into an open field.

In the United States, our trash goes to trash burning plants that produce electricity.

Since you mention poop, that is a huge contributor to global warming. Think of the domino effect from algal blooms.

Keep throwing food away! It helps the landfills more than your composting helps anyone's children.

Well, there is a saying that: "All generalizations are false." Your statement may well be true for where you live, but it does not apply to all of the United States. In Northern Delaware, for instance, all trash goes to single point collection points were all recyclable materials are removed and - guess what - recycled. The remaining organic matter and other non-recyclable material is sent to landfill. Trash treatment in Pennsylvanian depends upon the size of the community. Once a threshold is met, residential customers must separate recyclables from other trash and each is collected separately (sometimes on separate days). The non-recyclables are either burned or land-filled, depending up the location.

As of 2011, "There are currently 86 waste-to-energy facilities in the United States. According to the Energy Recovery Council, they provide 2,700 MW of clean electricity on a 24-hour-per-day, 365-day-per-year basis -- enough to power about 2 million homes." [www.scientificamerican.com] That makes your generalization that "In the United States, our trash goes to trash burning plants that produce electricity" far from reality. The EPA says that about 13% of trash in the US is converted to energy. [www.eia.gov]

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
You are correct, but it's not the full story.

Recycled materials are sorted, and remaining materials go to solid waste landfills, if they are not burned for energy. In this case, the sluice from the landfill powers energy plants.

So, I'm not making a generalization. My information is first hand work experience, not from Google.

DavePi, you are very quick to spit the word "troll" when someone doesn't agree with you, or points out that you are wrong.

smh

HoneyBrown might be a troll given the absurd logical fallacies in his/her post and responses. smh.

Name-calling is something that trolls do. When one poster calls another a "troll," it reflects more on him than on the other forum member.

I'm terribly sorry for my terrible behavior. I am a member of another forum with a lot of trolls so we point them out to warn others.

HonnyBrown, you'll be happy to know that I NEVER throw out my leftover food. I always feed it to the birds. I also dump over my balcony any stale bread, crackers or chips we have. Even when I scoop the inside of my bagel out, I throw out the middle into the parking lot( of the bagel shop). Doesn't take too long for the birds to find it. They actually wait for me to feed them at my house. I've been known to take containers out of the trash( at the beach for instance) and empty the food out for the birds. I drive my wife crazy!!
Cali, I have two teenage boys and a slew of their friends who are always here.

What are leftovers?

I use raw food scraps to make broth. I don't use peppers of any kind in the broth because they make it bitter. Egg shells go into my plants.

I quit feeding the birds. I use bread to make crumbs or croutons. The birds would thank me by leaving gifts on my car.

I like the idea of scooping out the bagel. That's room for more cream cheese!

True, but a small is enough for at least two people! I ordered large once- what a mistake!
I had my appointment with my diabetes Doctor recently. He noted on my meticulously-detailed log sheets that I had written a visit to FG for lunch. "You don't really eat that food, do you?" he asked, as though a diabetic patient should just kill herself and get it over with rather than eat such lethal food. I laughed and explained that I'm a mystery shopper by trade and only take a few bites of those deadly sandwiches and eat a couple of the killer fries. "Their food is so good!" he gasped, "how can you not eat everything?" I glared at him. "Just because you aren't diabetic, you don't have to rub it in," I snarled. "Wait," he said, "aren't mystery shoppers scam jobs?"

The world is a cruel place filled with stupid people.
I sometimes order the veggie sandwich at FG, when I've tired of the burgers in a bowl--which is rarely! They're not burgers, but just loaded up with veggies. I haven't found a lot of veggie burger patties that I really like, and the ones I do, I cook at home, anyway. So FG not having them isn't a big deal to me. I like the veggie sandwiches; I get grilled mushrooms, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, and lettuce. They're tasty; if somebody adds cheese, I'm sure that would be good, too.

We use the leftover fries to make home fries with, too!

Can't help it; I love Five Guys! I do find the report takes me somewhat of a long time, though, so I usually ask for more of a bonus than they offer when they call, and can usually bargain them up a few bucks. But sometimes I'll do them when the base gets up a couple of dollars--when the family starts making rumblings about wanting Five Guys....

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
ps, I get where your MD was coming from. He wasn't being cruel or stupid. Some people can't fathom eating 4 fries or taking a couple bites of a good burger. It has nothing to do with being diabetic.

If you wash the fries down with vinegar it removes the salt and makes the fries taste better. I have not seen a 5 guys in Jersey in a while. I am sure they are still evaluated just have to find the MSC that does them. I will not ask it is not polite.
