I went there for the first time today. It wasn't for a shop. I ordered the little burger and little fries. My total was over $10.

Isn't the reimbursement $9?

HonnyBrown - Not sure why I got banned but one summer I spent a lot of time at 5Guys. I may have been outed as they seemed to know me after a while. I would usually go to the ones close to my house. That was when I first started shopping and was hitting the accept for a lot of 5Guys. Makes me sad as that was the first shop I ever did. Still remember how nervous I felt in the parking lot wondering if I was going to remember all the detail. Funny now as there is really not much detail to remember. It may have been because I always gave them glowing reports but it was always a good experience so what you gonna do? I was banned after about a year and was shocked to see that I was not able to accept the shops anymore and then they disappeared from my list of potential jobs. Maybe I just got too old to eat hamburgers : (.

If you ask the scheduler nicely they may give the shops back to you. Five Guys have a medium turn over of employees compared to the Micky D's that has a new crew every week. Can't hurt to ask if you did anything wrong that you were not aware of and suggest if it has been "about a year" you say. You are probably a fresh face to the crew you will see, suggest that to the scheduler. It is a good argument to try. Do try to be a little more critical you may be a fan instead of a shopper. Did they smile and say please and thank you both at the front counter and pick up counter? Was the burger neat or sloppy when you unwrapped it. Was the beverage area properly stocked and neatly maintained? How about the waste baskets in the restrooms? was everything pristine? Do not go overboard but nothing is perfect every time.

if you put them in the oven they're good again in my opinion. obviously forget about the microwave.
I always get the "little fries." A 5 Guys guy told me that their fries are the only ones that reheat well. They do. I freeze them and warm them up in the oven when I want a handful or two. (I tried it with Mickey D fries back when I would wind up with two orders of them per the MSC guidelines. I will save you the trouble. Don't bother.)

Shopping SoCal and Maui.
