UPDATE:
"you can use a gray poly mailer or any other color; as long as it's a neutral color. "
I shipped a few item in silver/ gray poly mailers for the Reg shop jobs.
Today I received an email from an editor accusing me of using a gray “bag” to ship my item and warning me that if I do it again the shops will be rejected. She informed me I need to ship in a box or bubble mailer.
I wrote back explaining it was a poly mailer not a bag and included the instructions that showed poly mailers were acceptable.
The following ARE (their emphasis not mine) acceptable but they must be shipped plain... Plain boxes , Bubble mailers , CD Mailers, Padded Mailers, Poly mailers
Her response back was - Dark gray is not plain. Plain means either white or beige, light brown, the gold mailers, etc.
So if you are shipping be careful of what color your mailer is, Gold-Yes, Silver-No, or you won’t get paid. I’m posting this as an FYI so others don’t risk making the same mistake and not getting paid for jobs.
