Chipotle Shops

Thanks Jay! I went from doing 3 food shops in 2016 to 3 this month. That's a big change for me!

It must be pretty popular in my area, there are 5 stores within 8 miles of my house in every direction. I have only been assigned one a month and none of stores near me are ever on the orphan list. A few in the rural areas on my state are always on the orphan list. Also, a few times if I forget to log in to confirm it with in 2 days it gets snatched up right away.
I haven't received an email about upcoming trainings in some time. None are ever scheduled in my area. When was the last training you saw for this company? I think I even emailed the scheduler a few months back to say I moved back to a larger city and to let me know when trainings were being scheduled. I never heard back sadly.

I haven't seen any trainings in a long time. After they cut back on the number of shops being done, there seems to be an overload of shoppers in most metro areas, although there are a couple of areas marked "need shoppers." And a lot of the more remote locations need shoppers regularly. Most of the Chipotle shoppers I know would gladly do more shops monthly, so I'm guessing that, even if Chipotle opens new locations, existing shoppers will pick up the shops at the new locations so there wouldn't be a need for the company to train new shoppers.
Once you complete the training will you be able to assign any Chipotle shop? Just like any other Mystery Shop?
Not at all. This company is very different.

After training is complete, you will get your log in information. Log on, and select the shops that you can do. This will let the scheduler know to put you in the pool for that location.

On the first of the month, you can check the board to see if you have been assigned any locations. Accept the ones you want, and decline those you don't.

I always get emails on the 1st with locatioms the scheduler has chosen for me. I accept the ones I want and decline the others.
For the record, since others were curious: I had my first January shop approved and sent to the client in five days.

Pua, I accepted my shop, did it, and submitted the report on January 1. Can you tell I was excited?

I hope your eagerness transmits to some of the doubters on the forum. I enjoy my Chipotle shops, too. It is a different sort of MSC setup but if you like the food, it is worth the wait for the next training session. The pay is not bad, either!

Have not heard back about the training but she did say she will put me on the list. So we will see
I got feedback from my 1/1/17 shop. My typo was not mentioned, but the terminology was brought up and I have to change it for the next shop that I do, which will be Sunday.

Just letting you know that they actually do reach out to people on that list. I applied a long while ago and got an email a few days ago inviting me to a training being held in my city next week. In fact, when getting more details from the scheduler she said there was a second date a few days later in a nearby suburb.
Good luck till they screw ya. I'm not the only one,. A bunch of my former scheduler's folks got the boot to the head to. Guess she pissed of management real good for unknown reasons.
For you fajitas fans, they use green, red and sometimes yellow bell peppers during certain seasons.

How can I get into this training and start doing these shops? I eat at Chiptole weekly.

Either Google Chipotle Mystery Shopping to find the name of the MSC or spend a little time reading and interpret the many clues in several other threads. Once you have the name of the MSC, register with them. After you register, you wait to be notified of a training in your area. The company has a 2-3 hour on-site training that you must take before you are given access to their website and assigned shops.

Depending on your location, you may wait a few months or you may wait years for training. This is a company that invests in their shoppers with training, and they do not perform training in an area unless they need shoppers. With many satisfied Chipotle MS-ers, most large urban areas have enough shoppers. If you live in an area of few shoppers, if Chipotle is openning a lot of new locations near you, or if you are willing to shop remote locations, you may get offered training quickly.

What do you mean by "orphan list"?

At the first of the month the schedulers have an idea of which shoppers will get certain shops. Emails go out to these shoppers and they can accept or decline. If they decline a shop, it goes on the orphan list. And then there are also rural and remote areas where they have a restaurant with no shoppers. It's also an orphan.

These terms become familiar once you start shopping. The training provides an overview, but unique features such as orphan shops make sense once you are trained and assigned shops. These shops are for the more detail-oriented person.

eye, it's not an instant approval. It was over a year after I applied before I was notified about the training.

Is there a way to contact the scheduler through the website?

I haven't seen a way to do that. The quickest way I contact my scheduler is by sending her an email. If you have been assigned at least one shop, you should have her email address.
I would just email directly. I've never tried to do it through the site. Are you having an issue?
Thanks kenasch and JAS. I edited my post because I found the answer.

If you hover your cursor over the scheduler's name, their email address comes up along with their roles in the company.

I did an orphan shop today and was late due to a freeway accident closing all but one lane. Considering what the guidelines are for this month, I wanted to know if the shop will be rejected before I start on the report.

Honny, it might be a reshop. Hopefully you will hear back soon. Is your scheduler Deanna?
