Do you guys know of any companies that let you report during the shop?

I'd love to be able to fill out a report (on my phone or something) while I'm actually doing the shop. Do any MSCs let you do this?

When I do garage parking shops I go to a nearby cafe (possibly even one where I have a shop scheduled!) and enter the first part of the garage report there. Then retrieve my vehicle, move to the next garage, go to a cafe, report part 2 of shop one and part one of shop 2. Rinse and repeat for as many garages and/or coffee shops as you can do in a day.

I know one of the hotel clients I used to do, said you could fill out quite a bit of your experience in your hotel room, that way when you got to the pictures, half the job was done. smiling smiley

Wait.... People actually wait until AFTER checking out to write up their hotel shops?

IPSOS Smartphone shops let you complete it from the app.

All of them, just don't get caught
BWW shops are tough because the shop form is filled with the guidelines and lots of pictures of the uniforms, store fronts and such.
Outside of announced audits and such, or the various menu/location pics, actual "Mystery/Secret" shops would be easily detected if we could enter the information during the shop. You can not properly observe and remain anonymous, which is in most cases our priority, if pre-occupied on a device let alone actually entering shop information. Since the form knows the date/time we start to enter information. any good system would know the data was entered during the shop.

I sometimes wait until I get home because I usually have my BF or friend with me and we enjoy ourselves with dining, drinking, dancing and other activities. Sometimes I will write some of my narratives in the morning before checkout depending on what else I have planned for the day.
I do it with IPSOS and Trendsource all the time. I input as the shop progresses and finish in my car as soon as I'm done. With some Sassie shops I go into the restroom and input employee descriptions, etc. It assures I've done everything I'm supposed to do.

Yesterday I had to use the fitting room as a part of the shop so I used the opportunity to input everything up to that point.

Not DURING the shop.

There is a Best Buy shop I do where I have to take photos of an item on the shelf with no associate interaction. I open the report and take my photos entering them into the report immediately while doing the shop.

Depends on the situation. I often am given an entire week to turn in the report.
Service Scouts does, but those are different type shops. Professional sporting events, concerts, mostly entertainment-type stuff. So usually I fill out my report while I'm sitting at the game :-)
So you tell the MSCs the date you will turn it in (a week out or so) before you accept the shop?
I usually wait until checked out. I have to spend time with my family and enjoy the city/hotel or else they will try to convince me to stop shopping. I usually find other entertainment shops in the area to do while there.
The mystery shop apps Observa, Field Agent, EasyShift (I don't like this one because they want 500 pics for $20 and its a nightmare), and Gigwalkers. Also "Wegolook" does this too. Wegolook pays lookers $20 an assignment to take photos of cars that were in accidents being evaulated for insurance purposes and products for sale like boats and cars on eBay and other sites.
The Presto Instashops on SASSIE are all done on a mobile device during the shop...or close to!
During the shop or right after.

I use the app to check in, interact with the associate and put my notes in the app, go outside and take the picture of the building, and check out. When the associate gives me his or her business card, I will take a picture of it instead of taking it.

The shop and report are done before I get back to my car.

Oh, I only do their mailing shops. Were talking about the same company but not the same shop! Don't you think those phone shops don't pay enough? I kind of have a rule about not doing phone shops for less than $15. Do you wait for them to bonus them?
JAS, I can find their shops and squeeze them in between higher paying bank and apartment shops. They are easy to do, easy to find, and the report is fast. I don't have a problem with that for $12. I've never seen them bonused.

Also, I do enough so that when payday comes, my payments are $72 - $96.

Customer Impact had some doctors offices that we did this from their app it was great and so easy, this was this past summer but haven't seen any more.I bet more companies will start doing this.
Honny, I did one for them that had a $3 bonus and I had to wait for about 20 minutes to speak with a rep, then 10 minutes with the rep, but I don't really remember anything about how long it took to submit. Maybe 15 minutes? I thought you were supposed to keep your phone out of sight on those shops. How are you entering any of the info on the app while in the store? I thought it was kind of a PITA to do that shop if I remember correctly. The mailing shops are so fast for the same money and I rarely have to wait more than a couple of minutes in line.
JAS, I tell the rep that I am going to take notes on my phone, and I enter the info in the app at that time. The time inside the store takes up to 20 minutes. This one dude used his personal phone to show me the features. That took forever.

In this area, the shops get taken within two weeks. Cindy never offers a bonus.

I haven't done a mail shop yet. They look very complex.

JAS, what are the highlights of the shop? I usually see the HAZMAT on my board.

Next time regular box shops are posted read the guidelines. They are one of the MSCs where you can read the guidelines before accepting. The hazmat shops are even easier. There has been so much discussion on this it's redundant for me to discuss here. And enough hijacking! Sorry, OP.
I do it all of the time...mainly with audits. For example, Maritz has an app now that you can use. So instead of following and filling out a paper form, I just use the app and complete the report as I go and take the photos in order. Then once Im done I submit the report and Im done when I leave the site. The same can be done just by going to the MSCs website and doing the report as normal...it would just be on your phone or tablet on site. Straight up mystery shops would be a little different, but still could do the same thing right after the shop...either on site or in your vehicle. Saves a lot of paper and time. Of course, you would need to use the locations wifi or use your mobile data if needed. It doesnt use much data.
