I have yet to find a company that treats their schedulers decently, with the exception of Integrity Consultants.

Not scheduling for ANY company.
Integrity Consultants didn't have enough work for me. GfK was a nightmare to work for and soured me on scheduling. Plus, the potential is there to make more money as a shopper.

No snark here, I'm really just curious. Could you elaborate on some ways that schedulers are treated poorly? I ask to get a sense of what it's like on the other side of this equation.
Schedulers are held accountable for shoppers. If a shopper flakes, guess what? It's the scheduler's fault (even in cases where the shop is self-assign). When I first started, bonuses given to shoppers were taken from the schedulers money, and there were quite a bit of locations that were difficult to fill, so it was difficult to have to take money from your own pocket and give it out.

Scheduling is thankless work. There were several times I would take on extra work to help a company meet it's deadline. Supervisors showed little to no appreciation.

As I said, Kelly Truelove was different to work for and appreciates all of her contractors, including schedulers and shoppers. If only more companies treated people as she does, this business would be in a better place.

Shoppers, schedulers and even editors are considered a dime a dozen and expendable by most companies.

WOW, The company I schedule for we don't have to take money our of our pocket if a bonus is needed.
I don't use the bonus option often and so far have a 100% schedule rating in filling my shops. But you are right some can be difficult to fill, sorry you had to go through that.
I wouldn't take a job as a scheduler, you can make more money shopping and not have to deal with ridiculous goals, end of the month flakers that take away from your pay, sometimes by hundreds of dollars (think about that next time you flake) and it's true they are not treated with respect. The company I worked for expected you to work 7 days a week and be on call all the time, when hired though they tell you it's 5-6 hours a day. The turnover is high because the pay is terrible and the hours are long.
