Where Are You Shopping Today?

guysmom,
I used to do a lot of these. Actually, since they were having the purchase price, and sometimes a lot more, sent to them, they were generally glad to see me. And they often brought the item to the door, so I seldom even entered the home.

Not sure what Jas is collecting, but that's my experience.

YES!! I'm wearing long sleeves and I'm so happy!

On the other hand, my allergies are in overtime.

Wales and Honny...has the cooler weather hit your area yet? It's been 70s here (highs) last few days.

No, these were product inspection/store visits, although I have done many consumer retrievals. I never walk into their homes, it's an exchange at the door. These consumers are just as cautious about having some strange courier (me) come to their homes as I am about what I might expect to encounter. But, I generally get a feel for who the person is during the precall to make the appointment and have only once had a bad vibe, and I immediately canceled before going and explained to the project manager why. I have been doing these for several years (I think like 8 years?).

Getting paid to drive today for product retrievals. Another gorgeous day in NE Ohio!
JAS, are these in people's private homes??? I've seen several of these in my area, but I'm so cautious about taking any where I have to go to people's homes. They might already be upset at something not working/tasting right, and I don't want them taking their anger out on me!! So, just wondering, if it is at someone's house, could you post back later and say how it went??? I don't mind doing the ones where you retrieve stuff from stores, but not so sure about going to someone's home.
I have not completed product retrieval s from people's homes. However, many lifetimes ago I did sales, sales deliveries, flower deliveries, and home health care in private homes. For me, this would be more of the same. For someone else. it might be terrifying!

Today is a cell shop and an accident scene. I'm still waiting for repo dude to reschedule. I get he would have to drive in traffic to be at the site for 1 minute.

Jas,
Yes, we have had 2 very moderate days. Humidity starting back up today, but temps staying below 90 F. A shopper buddy's daughter is getting married on Saturday and should have clear skies and mid-80s, which is better than expected here in August. Walking two blocks at mid-day is not a big challenge, for a change.

Today was a cell phone shop, an accident scene look, and a gas station that went bad.

LOL! Technically, I worked in two cities. Technically, I work tomorrow in another city. This is fun. And. pfft to the people who say that work cannot and should not and shall not be fun. It is not my fault that these little tasks are... well... enjoyable to complete. They leave no noticeable imprint of drudge, heaviness, burden, or hardness. I just breeze along with these fun tasks. And,I get paid. It's a good thing.

Today is a burger shop, a bank and maybe an apartment.

Leaving tonight for a 5 day resort. Originally, it was a 3 day shop but the MSC owner convinced the client to give us 5 days. It pays for my airfare, my friend’s airfare and our rental car. I’m looking forward to it, as a good portion of it will be a vacation.
I’ll probably pick up a few airport shops on the way home.
Why was the assignment expanded from three to five days? (Inquiring minds want to know.)

Same number of interactions. I just wanted more cabana and pool time.
I'm very impressed with ACL. I missed one of the new guidelines for my gas station shop on Tuesday. I explained it in the disclosures and again to the editor. They didn't reject the shop!

Century 21 and hibachi steakhouse shop. Went over the purchase limit on both, but I enjoyed both so I’m trying not to beat myself up about it.
I did 2 cell phone shops today that were bonused, 1 electronics store shop that was bonused, and 1 convenience store that was bonused. They were all reported on apps. I left at around 2:30 p.m. and was home by 5:15 and made $81 with no reports to do at home. I love these kinds of days!
Today is a medical office restock and burger shop.

Today I did 2 convenience stores and 1 merchandising visit. Boy, was that a mess. It took me 2.75 hours to do what should have taken an hour. Good thing I get paid by the hour.
Denny's for breakfast, gas station audit, 2 grocery stores, Bakers for lunch, Little Caesar's
