You R reading way more in to the instructions. Instead of signing up for the checks that want You to check "ALL showtimes", look for the ones that says, "Any showtime during the day or evening."

Also IMMEDIATELY means by 8 am the next morning. That's is what UR instructions says. "Your report needs to be submited by 8 am the following morning". Which is shorter time frame than their other shops reporting. (12 hours versus less than 7 hours, especially if a movie has a late viewing.)

I take IMMEDIATELY to means as soon as I am able to report , do it.

Like the other Postor says, if they are not going to answer their phone when U suppose to CALL IN in the results, then keep trying to reach them as You make your way to a computer to report on line. Make note in your report that U attempted to call them but was unsuccessful.

The movie did not cost you anything, so you are not out of any funds.

Two or three screens means just that If the movies are starting at the same time then you go to the earliest one first. Then check your second screen the next time the movie starts in that auditorium. One viewing per screen is all that is necessary. Read Ur instructions.

I occasionally will go to a fourth viewing to watch the featured movie in its entirity or to make sure I have all the trailers right. Then I return home to report and submit.

It's really a shame they don't put basic information such as report by 8am the next morning in the preliminary info but instead say you must report "immediately" online. They didn't get anyone to do the shop and they still haven't answered my e-mail from several days ago asking for specifics so I guess everyone loses.
If I can get a Friday to do them when the kids are in school, I love to do them. I actually did one a few weeks ago and they always offer/let me stay for a show when I go (but this was the first time I actually could as it was a Saturday night and I didn't have to get right home). Finally a movie I want to see, I have the time, husband's home with the kids...

and the damn movie sells out and I give up my seat and go home.

But whats' really irritating - the first screen I checked I watched 45 minutes of the movie and loved it and was really excited to see the end of it (Inception!)

And I've never had a problem with Certified but I will tell you don't waste your cell phone minutes trying to get a hold of them immediately afterwards - 12-13 minutes on hold and then to voice mail. Wait until you get home to call if you can.
Inception was one of the bet movies I have seen this year. Go back. It's worth it. :-)

How do I contact "Certified" and the other one to let them know that I am interested in trailers and open checks?

Any of you ever done "Drive Inn" checks?? Oh, what a pain. Count the cars and the number of people in each car as the ENTER at box office!!
To register with certified go to [www.certifiedfieldassociate.com] hopefully you won't be as confused as I was (and still am) about their criteria for these shops.
Never done a Drive Inn as we don't have them around here.
We haven;t had a drive in here in many years. But, oh, the HS memories. :-)

ces1948 Is the 1948 in your username possible a year of birth?? I'm April 1948 myself! I've always said -- "The best wine (and kids) came from 1948!" Thanks, I did go and signed up for the movies.

dee shops Drive-Ins, special memories?? I almost got arrested for sneaking in 3 of my buddies into the drive-in in the trunk of my mom's 1955 Oldsmobile Delta 88. The only thing that saved my young butt was the fact that I had already volunteered for and enlisted in the military and was awaiting orders, but 30 days away from high school graduation. The cop who was working an extra job as drive-in security was a former Marine and they had this thing going on, called Vietnam -- he was pretty cool about it. My buddies all had to buy tickets -- but I didn't!!!!! Yeah, memories.
Nothing like that. Just a lot of necking in cars with my BF, and also of seeing ome pretty poor films.

Yeah, I remember that too - my GF and I got married 6/14/1968! (Save you the math - 42 years ago.)
Well another confusing one has been listed by you know who. This one is a blind check in which they tell you to attend all showings of a particular movie and count the patrons. They then say you must buy tickets to at least the 1st and last showings. Another head scratcher.
What is the confusing part?

There are several showings in a day. It would seem to me you would have to buy tickets to all the showings not just the 1st and last.
Perhaps they expect you to sneak into the others? :-) It would appear they are only volunteering to pay for two, sooooo...

They do say elsewhere that "Reimbursement will be made for up to 2 tickets per showtime" That's why I haven't taken this type of assignment from them. There always seems to be contradictory information
Well, they are known to be cheap, but if they really expect someone to do a blind check ALL DAY long and are only paying for the first and last show, they must be crazy, too. :-)

CES1948, I wish you lived in my town. Then we could go to trailer checks together. Most of your information for TCs are in the ASSIGNMENT DEtails. B4 U accept, they tell you what they expect. If you can't DO, then don't ACCEPT. (Decline the assignment).

Read the info segment to the left of the main CRI screen. It lets anyone know what the differents types of theatre shops they have. I like Trailer Checks (TCs). Some theatres make it hard, like 3 screens showing and there on different floors. Running up and down escalators/elevators or stairs in one case, like I am some spring chicken.

In Ur BLIND check, the ticket is for if any employee askes you what are you doing, You have a ticket for the movie. The purpose of the friend is to purchase a ticket if you do manage to stay all day and the staff inquires about your presence later.

Generally one does not get thrown out of a theatre unless their actions are unwarranted and suspicous. Blind checks are just that, the movie staff is not suppose to know what U R doing there.

By the way, the Review Details/Assignment Details informs one of the payment WE will receive and the 8:00 am deadline the following morning. They are not mentioned anywhere in the downloaded instructions. When you ACCEPT the assignment, print the page for reference.
sojo917 Thanks for being helpful. In one sentence they say buy tickets for at least the first and last showings and few sentences further down they say they will reimburse you for two tickets to each show and you must attend each show. Just do a search for zip 34974 and read the details just as I did and tell me what you think.
Well, I haven't done any Blind checks, yet I will wait. If they are reimburisng you 2 tickets per show, then know in advance how many shows there are of the Featured movie.

Depending on the length of the movies, most shows per day would be no more than four in a 12 hour period. (counting a midnite show. on the weekends.)

Just don't loose your icket stubs!!!!!!! (Bring your own food smiling smiley
I was told that you only have to stay for the first 22 minutes of each showing, make your count and then leave. Would hate sitting through the same movie 4 times but then again leaving, going somewhere else for two hours wouldn't be that pleasant unless you lived very close to the theater. I would probably sit completely through only showing.
It really amazes me that after doing easily 300 trailer checks in recent years, only once has a theater patron asked what I was doing and I gladly told her.

But I would not have told her whom I work for so as to not create another local shopper in addition to violating my ICA.

Again, it is quite surprising no fellow movie buffs are curious.

So far, the trailer for "Jackass 3D" is going over quite well with audiences. Especially the final "High Five" scene. Audiences love it!!! But the new "Reds"
trailer isn't going over well even though it looks like a good movie as does
"The Town."
Where can I go to find out more about trailer checks - sounds like fun (free movies). Someone mentioned "TES". Anyone ever do work for them?

I found the same thing with J3D.

The trailer RED is like old spy fiqures getting together for one last hurrah. Like the EXPENDABLES is one last hurrah for action figures.

You would stay and watch the movie during it's final showing and during your final trailer check for the evening. Most managers sign the paperwork when you walk in. Thereafter, you are on your own.

Before accepting an assignment, check the theater's web posted showtimes so you can even see a different movie than the one being checked. Timing is everything!!!
Make sure you can complete the trailer checks allowing time to not miss whatever other movie interests you.

Most AMC theaters have mid morning showtimes all year. So I've done my trailer checks and gone to lunch, entered the data in the library nearby, and returned for another movie. Once the managers know you, they really don't care and are overworked anyway to be worried about your time in the theater.

Smaller 2,3 and 4 screen theaters are not recommended for staying around for the film.
I love doing trailer checks but certified cut off. Are their anymore companies that do trailer checks beside certified?
I really do not have a problem with Certified. They give you a few wacky instructions occasionally. I call the help desk and explain to them what the discrepancy from reality is.

Their favorite is to give you an assignment that expired a few months ago. Probably, they struck the wrong number and did not proof read the outgoing message.

They change it or cancel it at their option. Canceling is better than going out and doing something and not getting paid. I insist on an e-mail as I will not do what they verbally tell me to do. I do not proceed on verbal instructions that differ from printed guidelines ANYTIME FOR ANY COMPANY! They cannot say later, "We did not say that". No, you wrote it and I proceeded. I am covered.

I do not do trailer checks that I cannot stay and watch the movie. The money is just not sufficient for traveling to the theater, spending time and not getting to see the picture. I remember watching lots of pictures. I asked the managers if I could watch the picture and see them after the picture, so I do not miss anything. They don't care, especially on first shows where there are only a few other people in the auditorium.

I do not put together standees because Certified changed the requirements, I do not do assignments that require photos, They want to see what it looks like when I get done. I do not blame them. I saw standees done by other people. The standees looked like they would fall on someone. They say it is easy and does not require a second person. I bring a second person, my wife to hand me screws and hold a section because my arms are not that long. Then I have to take her to dinner, there go the profits.

You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want ..Zig Zigler
Yeah, they are fun-as long as it isn't with Certified. Mine was at our local theatre which only charged $2-yes! However, it was 3 weeks from when I signed up for the assignment until I could actually do it. Then it was the dumbest kid's movie I had to sit through. Certified dropped me however when I had a gall bladder attack and didn't give a hoot about me tho I'd been doing low paying assignments for 2 years because that's about all that's available here in a rural area. I would do those if they were more available but assignments are few and far between here.
