I think that the OP needs to be sentenced to permanent ACTIVATION on this forum. smiling smiley

Edited to Add: I just requested that the OP NOT be deactivated. The OP needs to learn self-discipline. If the OP wants to disappear, the OP can simply disappear (self-discipline). Helping the OP to disappear via deactivation would not teach self-discipline. I think that self-discipline was lesson #2 in kindergarten, just after learning to share. I am personally going to exercise self-discipline by henceforth ignoring this thread.

Squire, what does the original incident have to do with the forum? Why are you saying you aren't a good fit here? You're a mystery shopper, you fit in. As others have said, why go through the loud production of announcing your deactivation? Why not just stop participating?

There are actually THREE sides to any story...yours, mine, and the truth (which is somewhere in the middle)

The OP is definitely male.
Are you referring to spicy1? She’s already on here with a new account. Super easy for me to spot. I pm a friend here, then when it gets deactivated, I say “told you so.”

I was referring to the OP. I didn’t read enough of his crap to determine that he was male so I just went with the likely majority.

I will happily admit to being the first to admit googling "Goodnight Gracie."

NICE!

spicy1 has a few "tells". I won't list them, but she is not self-disciplined. It does not take her long to show at least of few of them. Sometimes it's a particular word that she likes to use. Sometimes, it is a way of communicating. It is easy for me. I have picked up at least six or more of her IDs in the last couple of months.
I remember (faintly) George Burns and Gracie Allen, funny stuff, yes, I'm proud of my age.

Ooops. Wrong post. That's what we're having for dinner winking smiley
And I thought that was your recipe for your favorite meal called "Good night Gracie". But no I cannot imagine Gracie cooking anything successfully. I watch that show on one of those old TV show channels. George Burns came to entertain the staff at my work when he was 92 and to kick off his campaign to raise 10 million. The cross streets are named Gracie Allen and George Burns Roads. What sticks in my mind is his joke "At my age I don't even buy green bananas."

Honny, I had to go look up the definition of histrionics...lol!!! Agree.
Well, the good news is {insert sarcastic laugh here} is that our other histrionic poster is back so you probably won't have to wait too long to read more!!! {insert another sarcastic laugh and eyeroll here}

Enough about that. At least those people are among the living and have other opportunities. I want to add the next zig and/or zag to this thread. Thank you.

Here is something that is loosely related to a person not feeling like they belong, being given undue rations of unprintable, etc. The OP mentioned that they were not a good fit in this forum. Personally, I wish they would return. We need everyone, imho.

Unfortunately, we cannot have everyone. Some choose to go, for a variety of reasons. A recent casualty of the presumed guilty mentality is a two-time figure skating champion. His situation was pending when he committed suicide. His former coach had informative words that might make us think about how we are treating people. Do our words have a different effect than we intend them to? John Coughlin had been successful with two different skating partners and was influential in other good ways within the sport. So why is he dead?

Where is the due process for John Coughlin? He was of late known for a swirl of allegations and an increased limitation on his participation in the sport. But he had no way to fight back. He posted to that effect shortly before his death. He, or his attorneys, should have an opportunity to present information or otherwise communicate publicly. But the law has been twisted into some oddball spirit, and we have a situation where allegation-makers get a free ride at anyone's expense.

What the unprintable has happened to sanity, good sense, and due process?!?!?!

And, did any of our posts in this thread exacerbate or accelerate the OP's desire to leave this forum?

My humble opinion is the OP wanted out, but wanted the Moderators to do it as he said over and over. I personally as well as many were kind to him in the beginning, but yet he produced more and more drama bringing in the Holocaust, police and unrelateable subjects going off topic for attention. Being unable to take different opinions when posting shows immaturity. Re-read his posts, totally off the wall, he almost begged to be dismissed and finally after much pleading, he was. You sound like your blaming the forum for his demise.

Live consciously....
Hi Honny!

Not sure if this was in response to my post above, but I wasn't referring to spicy. I was referring to another poster that creates drama and then plays the victim. We've had a rest from her for a bit but I see she is back posting. Time will tell.
