Enough about that. At least those people are among the living and have other opportunities. I want to add the next zig and/or zag to this thread. Thank you.
Here is something that is loosely related to a person not feeling like they belong, being given undue rations of unprintable, etc. The OP mentioned that they were not a good fit in this forum. Personally, I wish they would return. We need everyone, imho.
Unfortunately, we cannot have everyone. Some choose to go, for a variety of reasons. A recent casualty of the presumed guilty mentality is a two-time figure skating champion. His situation was pending when he committed suicide. His former coach had informative words that might make us think about how we are treating people. Do our words have a different effect than we intend them to? John Coughlin had been successful with two different skating partners and was influential in other good ways within the sport. So why is he dead?
Where is the due process for John Coughlin? He was of late known for a swirl of allegations and an increased limitation on his participation in the sport. But he had no way to fight back. He posted to that effect shortly before his death. He, or his attorneys, should have an opportunity to present information or otherwise communicate publicly. But the law has been twisted into some oddball spirit, and we have a situation where allegation-makers get a free ride at anyone's expense.
What the unprintable has happened to sanity, good sense, and due process?!?!?!
And, did any of our posts in this thread exacerbate or accelerate the OP's desire to leave this forum?
