$65 Difference in Reimbursement for same requirements!

There is a company that does some bar integrity and dining room shops. For the both of them, the required food and drinks is 2 alcoholic beverages (at least 1 specialty cocktail from the craft menu, 1 appetizer, 2 different entrees, 1 dessert). For the dining room shop there is a $130 reimbursement. For the bar integrity, it's $75. Plus you have to observe bar interactions and transactions (that is actually very easy for me as I bartended to put myself through college). The shop company wants me to do another bar integrity and I emailed the scheduler and asked why there was $65 less in reimbursement for the same food and drinks. I didn't even mention the aspect of more work. Let's see what she says. Please, FL buddies, do NOT take the bar integrity shops at this low rate. We have to stick together.

Typically bar integrity shops do not require entree or desserts.. only 1 (sometimes 2) apps. That's just what I've done/ seen...
I'd confirm the ordering requirements with the scheduler.
I have done at the bar dinner shops where the report seemed a lot easier and also ones where it was harder as I had to watch other transactions and report on what they ordered and how it was handled for several customers in addition to my own dining report. I have not taken a bar dinner shop since as it was a real pain in the neck. But the ones without all that seemed easier as there were not as many different personnel to report on as there were at a table. And as I recall things like folding the napkin again and being on the correct side of me to deliver the food just were not part of the at the bar dinner making it easier. But still that is a huge difference in reimbursement. Let us know what the scheduler said about the $$ difference.
I do one Bar Integrity that says 2 drinks (different ones) and an appetizer, never a dessert. I don't think normal customers switch drinks, so to me that's a giveaway. The bar is easy as I go for happy hour (4ish). I'd check on the dessert and I don't get near 65.00 reimbursement..total for me is 45.00. I should move, but quality of life is a biggie.

When I drank, I mixed drinks. Might start with rum, next a bourbon, maybe a bloody mary or a margherita after that. If in a vodka mood: start with a screwdriver, then try other mixers. Might end up with a beer.

I do not drink often now, but will sit at the bar when dining alone. I see people order different drinks. Last week I went out with a few coworkers. One of them was trying different house specialties. The bartender was asking questions to help recommend what to try next.

Some people will have a hard drink followed by a beer. As in a "beer chaser"

My point is, it is not unusual for someone to mix drinks.

OK, to clarify. This is for 2 people, requirements are 2 to 4 drinks (no more than 2 each), an app, 2 different entrees and a dessert. Basically, it is the dining room shop, done at the bar, with extra work to make sure the bartenders are not scamming, for $65 less. The scheduler said she would check with her boss to find out what was up with the reimbursement, but BIG SURPRISE, she has not replied to me. What is she going to say? Yeah, we want a $130 report for $75.
I know some restaurants especially in New York have different menus for the bar and dining area.

I don't know why but i'm following for an update.

You haven't named the client... please state the MSC and maybe others who do bar shops for this MSC can chime in.

130 minus 75 is a $55 difference, not a $65 difference. Sorry, that stood out to me. Otherwise, I can offer no help with your question.

proudly shopping in the D.
I used to do a shop that had a $25 limit at lunch and a 50 limit at dinner. This restaurant did not have a separate lunch menu. For both you needed to go with 2 people. All items were the same price for a plate. The only difference was for dinner you needed to get only one $6 glass of wine. And then you had lots of money left to order sides, a second dessert or whatever. I never took a lunch shop and a few months later it seemed all the other shoppers steered clear of lunch as they sat on the boards. Why they did this??? Maybe they thought people did not want to eat as much at lunch... but the report was exactly the same amt of work for both jobs. huh?????? is my answer to your question.
