I just heard back and they are back to dine in assignments. They must have cancelled all the take out.
If this is the case how come they can not do both? The food is good but the music is to loud

ETA: COVID cases are on the rise again in our area and they are limiting dine ins to 50 %.

I have a carry out shop scheduled for next Tuesday. So far it's still a go.

It is a restaurant that what it doesn't deep fry it cooks forever with enough salt to rapidly raise your blood pressure. When we did shops we watched as the morbidly obese waddled in and out of the restaurant--leaving with bags and boxes of leftovers. We only did a couple of shops because the food was just so antithetical to a healthy diet.
Nailed it. 70% of Americans are overweight. This is one of the reasons why. I quit doing Claim Jumper shops, as it made me nauseated to watch people eat that way.
For anyone who has never been to Texas Roadhouse, I don't think these depictions are accurate (neither on food, nor on their customer obesity - the latter of which I don't care about whatsoever).
I agree and will happily take any of those shops the folks who think that way pass on! I am actually doing a Bubba's today and did a TR last week. I would do them every week if it were not for rotation!

Well 70% of Americans are overweight. That's a fact. So, on average 70% or more (based on their menu) of their customers should be overweight. They aren't serving a lot of salads there.
But they are serving lots of good lean protein like steaks. I always get the 8 oz. Dallas fillet and eat half and take half home. Again, pass them on to me if you feel that way.
Hello,All! The broiled salmon is low calorie and and has long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which we need. There are vegetable sides. And good coffee. I really like Texas Roadhouse. Signed, Night Owl at 4:57 pm.
I just did a To Go - delicious porterhouse, one of the easiest shops. I haven't done a Texas Roadhouse since the quarantine, and I was missing those rolls. I have another one at a different location in a few weeks.
I'm hoping to do a carryout as well. I haven't dined in since March 2020 and have no plans to any time soon, as I know restaurants are keeping mum about positive cases in their locations. Not worth it.

Their side salads are good too. Always ice cold.

I'm craving Texas Roadhouse already!

You should volunteer yourself to your scheduler for out-of-rotation emergency/flake shops. smiling smiley

Someone mentioned the ability to break rotation before on TXRH. It's impossible in my city, due to the shop's popularity, unfortunately. I'm lucky to grab one within the same hour of posting.

their menu
I don't go there for "health" food (for that, I can prepare it myself at home). Yes, I'm one of those who inhales their bread and will ask for refills. However, they do have healthy options and TXRH (all three brands: Roadhouse, Bubba's 33, and Jaggers) is known for it's made-from-scratch, fresh prepared meals. Everything (other than some desserts, if I remember correctly) is prepared that same day (from grating of the cheese to the cutting of veggies and making the croutons and sauces, etc.). I feel their foods are prepared well with their natural flavors being highlighted...not smothered in some "mystery sauce" to hide old or poor cuts of meat...

Not that I care, but the two locations near me are always full of happy people who look mostly fit (lots of date night or family tables). The characterizations are just odd (to me). That's all I shall say about that.

The TR and Bubba's shops are premium shops here and I have to be quick to snag one!!! I love them and I have never noticed people being overweight. I have seen lots of folks taking home doggie bags - including me - because I always order the larger fillet so that I can enjoy half the next day. Besides that, since COVID, I have lost weight. I wear a lot of stretch pants and they are loose around the top! And, woo hoo!, just got a text that I can go for my vaccine tomorrow!!!!

I guarantee you that is not a typical order there.

That is awesome! Will pray for a smooth processing. Godspeed and be strong!

According to CEO, Wayne Kent Taylor, their number one ordered item is the 6 oz. sirloin (their smallest cut of meat).

You get two sides & all-you-can-eat bread and peanuts. All for $8.99 on specials days and I believe $10.99 on non-specials nights.
For my last TR shop (a carry out) I got a chicken breast without the BBQ sauce, a 'dry' baked potato, and vegetables without butter sauce. Quite a healthy meal (except for the rolls and butter that jumped onto my plate :-)

Rumor has it an ancient tablet contained what religious scholars believe to be an 11th commandment: "Thou shalt not deny thyself Texas Roadhouse rolls." grinning smiley

My second time eating there, I ordered the BBQ chicken (with sauce) and it was quite good. Very flavorful and the chicken was moist and juicy. I think their steaks are a better deal, so I order those usually, but do like their BBQ chicken as well.

Please let this pandemic end, so I can go back to dining in at TXRH!
When I've done the bar shop I usually have ordered the 6 oz sirloin, salad and sweet potato. Filling and yummy, but they do oversalt the food. I am very salt-sensitive and I can tell immediately. Most restaurants love the salt shaker. It supposedly enhances the taste. Having Meniere's Disease, I need to limit my intake and don't add any to my own cooking.

I have never done a TRH shop although the opportunities were there. I never wanted to do a job for a mere $35 in reimbursement nor would I ever dine out alone. My family went out for dinner there a few weeks ago and enjoyed it immensely. However, we got TRH take out tonight (We paid, LOL). Sooooo delicious! Three entrees of grilled chicken with steamed broccoli and salads. I got a 6 Oz. sirloin, baked potato with butter and sour cream and salad. DH got the Prime Rib and the same sides as me. An appetizer of Boneless Buffalo Wings with Ranch dressing set the stage. Loving it! Bread is sweet tasting and unusual. Drank two glasses of red wine and I was good for the evening.

I witness morbidly obese people all the time, everywhere, anywhere. I do agree most of Americans are overweight. My DD's obsessions are with the show "My 600 lb. Life." Sad.
I had a friend who was kind of obsessed w/overweight folks. We would go somewhere and she would point out someone who was obese and make some comment. I hated that she did that especially since she was so skinny. I finally told her that those people probably looked at her and immediately thought she had an eating disorder. She always said her husband didn't like fat women; but I never heard him make any comments about anyone's weight.
