New Quantity Standard for Five Guys Fries

I took Hubby with me to my shop yesterday. I ordered all my food and he asked for a hot dog. The person at the register asked if we were sharing the fries. I said we were. I watched him dump a WHOLE extra scoop of fries into the bag!

Five Guys also asked if we were sharing the fries. That was the first time we were ever asked that. They gave us lots of fries.
by the way: peanuts disappeared from some locations..

The reimbursement in my area is now up to $14.20, but none of the shops are bonused yet. I'm waiting until they carry a bonus before I take one this month.

Took two bonused for today. Did one at lunch and will do another one after 4:15

I took one yesterday listed at $12.75 because they gave me $34 higher than my normal $30. When the e-mail came it showed $14.20 reimbursement. So did the report screens.
Yesterday, I ordered 1 burger bowl, 1 little fries, 1 regular soda, and it came to $18.17. The report asked what I ordered since it was over $16. ARGH! I always get 1 metal bin of extra fries with the little fries. The fee was bonused.

visited three different places recently and no one has peanuts inside. However the sign at the front doors saying that they have peanuts in open containers.

I think the food is pretty good but if not for these shops I would NEVER go there. Prices keep going up and it's getting insane.
I have not seen peanuts the last few times I went to 5 Guys.

I did notice there is a new thing asking for a tip, with 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% as options. Have any of you seen this? They are charging over $15 for a meal, it's fast food, and they want tips like that?

My local FG had an open box of peanuts the last time I was there. They (and others) have had them in bags behind the counter that you had to ask for. One restaurant I went to a month ago had boxes of peanuts on the floor but didn't bother to put out the scoops.
I asked both the cashier and the guy that handed me my order last time and both of them didn't know when they were bringing back the peanuts. The second guy looked like he had no idea what I was talking about. Makes sense if he was hired post Covid.
There are a total of 10 stores that I visit at least occasionally. I visit four of them "regularly". They each appear to have a different owner. The prices are different. Some have peanuts in boxes, some in pre-packaged bags, some not at all. Some have tip jars. Some have it built into the credit card machine. Some not at all. There remain differences due to COVID that appear to be store decisions, not government decisions. None have signs anymore. Some have hand sanitizer. Some have ketchup for self-dispensing. Some have the little plastic cups pre-filled. Some have the commercial small packages. Some are back to "full" seating. Others still have limited seating. I am amazed at how much variability I see,

There were self-serve peanuts at the last location I went to a few days ago. I saw the tip thang. My order was already $18 (1 hamburger, 1 little fry, and 1 soda) so I didn't tip.

Are we allowed to tip and get reimbursed?

They clearly ask what you paid for your food. There is no option to add a tip and get it reimbursed.

ROFL. Funny!

Only for delivery orders, I believe.
Here in flyover country, they had little bags of peanuts on request shortly after they opened back up last year. I have seen one or two that have a scoop and the paper boxes. Wait, we have more Raising Cane's than Five guys, but I think that is only because one is in a food court in a mall. Which has been closed a lot lately.

I'm glad that Five Guys shops are around all the time (and bonused well in my area). I would never eat there on my own dime. I think it's absurd that a little fry costs over $4 and even more absurd that they are no longer even requiring an extra half scoop.
Also, are you guys counting the amount of extra fries in the bag? Typically I write that I get an extra half scoop of fries and that is sufficient.
I did a Five Guys tonight. I don't eat there unless it is a shop as I think they are to pricey but DID give you a decent amount of fries. Tonight I got that tiny cup half full and eight in the bag. I would have been ticked if I paid $3.29 for 15 French fries.
Today I got at least an extra full cup of fries with the Little Fry order! And for the first time in the last 3 or 4 shops I've done, the fries were back to being delicious. The two locations I shop regularly had horrid fries lately.

The LF here are $4.49! (So I'm glad I get so many extra.) Good thing they upped the reimbursement, 'cuz a hot dog is now $6.19. My meal was almost $14 for sandwich, little fries, and regular-sized soda. I think their value for the money is really dropping these days.

I used to enter a number where they ask for how many extra fries. Now, I just skip that box all together. Somehow, I figured out it doesn't matter or require an answer to that box. Maybe it's required if you say NO to the previous question. So, no, I don't count fries.

Just got call from scheduler about visit to local store. The fee is now listed on their website is $20 (with possibility of negotiation). The scheduler offered me to do that location for $19. I pointed her about the difference and she explained to me that last time I did shop at that place for $19. Very impressive. I refused.

I just don't understand why they're haggling over that $1 just because you did it for$19 before. Perhaps you found out when you did it that it wasn't worth it to you for that amount!
prior to her call I got email from Samantha with $21 offer. In the past I got similar calls from schedulers offering me fee less then they posted online.

I've never given them an approximate count. I always estimate the quantity by the scoop (half-scoop, full-scoop, etc.), like dafizisblue does and have never had them raise an issue about it.
