Whole Foods Delivery Shop

I do two a month. There is a backup shop available for my location that has been sitting on the board for several of weeks.

I'm considering canceling this because my location will not have a wine shop. I only signed up for the wine and ice cream.

@eyelove2shop I do two a month also. I sign up for the beef, and chicken I use that to make my dads dinner. I certainly don’t need another cleaning product but I did give them away as a gift. I have not had a wine shop yet but that’s okay I’m good with my wine supply since I had a membership at a winery. I am glad that I got the report times down.

I am waiting for the next exciting opportunity!
@sandyf I only do two a month. I live 7 minutes away from one location the other locations are much farther for me. Did you ask the scheduler if you could do two a month?

@a-scho so are you saying that your back seat is not an option? I have not had a pickup but if I did, I would photograph them on my backseat of my car.

@Capurato, I got them down to a science too now that I have completed 5. The first one gave me anxiety just because it was so new with so many steps. I use “Snip it” to copy and paste into a word document. I did not start doing that until my 3rd shop.

Same! I was freaking out. But now I got my system down. The hardest part is remembering to take pictures of the thermometer if it is non-compliant.

I do two a month and this location doesn’t sell wine or beer. The scheduler has been pretty flexible so far.

Glad you got it down too. At first I was thinking what did I get myself into.
I am in Los Angeles and after my first one I was asked to do another 9 days later but I declined. I was asking to do them every three weeks but was being asked to do them less than two weeks apart. There has been an ad for a backup shopper for my location for weeks now. I had said I would prefer every three weeks. So I actually did two 17 days apart, got a 10 on both and never heard again, When I asked I was told they found someone else.
So I am sending another query today to see if I can be reinstated as the back up shopper. If the "regular" shopper is able to do it every week I do not suppose the back up shopper will be that busy. Maybe that location needs more than one a week however both that I did they did very well on packaging and temp.

Every week? Where r u?
Me too! It certainly got much easier. I completed mine this morning

I did 3 in February and 1 so far in March. I like these. Don’t have to get dressed or leave the house and make the equivalent of about $42 between the groceries and the shop fee. Could always use organic milk, bread and eggs. I wait until the 15 minutes left in the delivery window. Start with bag 1. Turn on my phone recorder, then picture of outside, picture of inside then start talking and recording expiration dates and temperatures as I’m taking them. Take the group picture and now I have all the info I need to complete the report. The first week was the hardest until I came up with a system. I’m done in less than 15 minutes.

Has anyone completed the report using an iPhone? Is this even possible? My computer crashed and I’m wondering if I need to cancel.

You should be able to do it via the iPhone. Just log into the MSC website and proceed from there; I don't think they have an app (I could be wrong). If not, ask the scheduler to move the due date, he is pretty responsive and helpful in my experience.
I applied for a bunch of the pick-up only shops as a back-up shopper but haven't heard a peep. And many of them are still sitting on the board. Oh well.
I don't see anyone wanting to let their food sit for 2 hours plus in the summer. My ice cream was already mushy.

my location sells beer and wine, there's actually a section. The last time i went into the store, (which is only 1 mile from me) I made a list of all the wines under $10 and ask the employees for their best sellers. I really want the wine!!!!!!!! OMG...This is sad. I'm a pescetarian so the chicken and meat is useless to me. I also don't drink cow's milk. I usually give the meats and milk to my neighbor but i might start giving the meats to my dog.

I like the cleaning products, eggs, ice cream and bread. I get the raisin bread, pasture eggs which are $6 and organic cheese.
I applied RIGHT AWAY when I saw it on the board and both the one that delivers to my house and the one that delivers to my parents' house were full. Applied for all the pickup shops and still didn't get there in time.
@amyann2 hopefully you will hear back from them soon

During my first shop, when I was ordering online, Amazon kept telling me some of my items were unavailable. So, I would choose an alternate and they would be unavailable also. All the alternates were unavailable. I emailed the scheduler with screenshots of my problem. He would give me robo responses like, "Pick an alternate." After going back and forth with him several times, more like going in circles, I told him to just cancel the shop for me, I'm out. So, I never did the shop or had to figure out where to take the group photo. Plus, I'm a huge fan of the Kroger shops. I'm busting at the seems with groceries.

I got it down to 27 minutes today from start to finish. It took me 2 minutes to order (I used the feature to reorder everything from last time) and then I breezed through the rest.

I am concerned though that they are wanting us to vary our delivery times. This is not a problem if I work from home, however if I am in the office or a weekend, I will want them at specific times.

Currently I have completed several Sunday shops and Tuesday shops, usually every 10-12 days.
Does anyone know if you can get bone in chicken or not the Whole Foods brand of chicken? I usually get boneless thighs or breasts but I wanted to get something different

This is basically the same thing I do but someone implied that I was opening my bags early LOL

Initially the shop will take a while because you have to get used to the requirements and photos this is what I do.
I’ll take a picture of the first QR code and then I’ll take the picture of the inside and when it’s time to do the temp I’ll go ahead and sit it in front of the bag that it came out of, take a picture of the expiration date as well as the product with the thermometer in the photo. I kinda group it together.
That way I know what came out of what bag, the expiration date and the temperature all together. It seems like a lot but you get used to it. I’m on my third shop my second one was graded a point lower because I forgot to crop out my identifying information in a screenshot. Also be prepared to provide proof if a product did not meet the criteria as far as temperature. For me it seems like these shops are in my rotation twice a month

You're not supposed to open the bag to take the inside pictures until 15 minutes before your delivery tis your delivery time has ended.
I never said I open my bags early. Basically I said when I get ready to take my pictures i group everything together. There’s no order you have to go in as long as the bags are open at the right time and that you get all your required photos and temps in 15 minutes
@Blkstorm I’m a little tired of getting the thighs too! I thought you were pretty clear in your communications. I had a Director that I used to work for to teach me “As long as you get your house is built, it does not matter how you go about building your house”.

I am waiting for the next exciting opportunity!

Yes you can order bone-in chicken. I always order the whole foods brand but sometimes they substitute with Bell & evans brand and it's been accepted.

Does anyone have leads on how much leeway they give for the cleaning suppies? So far I have done the 365 all purpose cleaner and 365 tub & tile cleaner. Are other brands allowed?
I was told the tub and tile cleaner wasn't acceptable. I want to order it as I don't need anymore all purpose cleaning. I've ordered the "Method" all purpose and another brand that's closer to $5, can't remember the name right now but it was an all purpose....Seventh generation.
Finally after doing this 5 times I think I have a good system down and I don't feel like I'm constantly screwing up.
