Five Guys Starting Pay

I remember when 5G started at $8 and reimbursed $12. Now they start at $25 and reimburse $15.40. I won’t take a shop for less than $45.

In my area, they start and $9 and quickly go to $15. I wait for Samantha or MAO.

The highest I can get in my area is $25. However, when I visit NH, I can get up to $45.
The delivery shops in my area start at $5 with $15 reimbursement on food and another $15 reimbursement for delivery and tip.

I think the dine in start around $8-10 same for the curbside pickup.

I won't take a dine in for less than $25-30 and hope to get delivery at $10 especially if it has a shake!
I had a scheduler call and offer me $35 dollars for a dine in this weekend. However, when I got the email the fee was only $25.

I messaged the Help Desk, who told me that $25 was the max they could pay. I could accept it for that or cancel. Since $25 is what I hold out for, I went ahead and did the shop.

Where do you see $45 in NH? The most I see on the seacoast is $25. Dover goes to $28.
The MSC has made it clear this summer that they will not go higher than $25. Not for 5G and also not for the hedgehog shops either. My son used to get $50 for the remote shops in the Eastern part of the state are only $25 now and the mystery shopping company will not budge on the pay. Even though they say MAO.
most I've done one for is $35 and that is because a desert location 2 hours from Los Angeles doesn't get shopped often enough. They have several bonused on the board each time I look. They certainly are not getting 1 done per week like their urban locations.
The 5G in Absecon, NJ (an NJ Shore summer resort area) is regularly offered by Samantha at $28 to $38 dollars. I suspect that the tourists with the money do not MS, and the locals do not want to deal with the traffic.

In my area, next week's shops are at $9. I wait for a scheduler to call me so I can get $25. Usually after I talk to the scheduler, Samantha will email offers higher than $25.

Just got a 5G at American Dream for $45. I regularly MAO for $45-$50 at 5G in Bayonne and it’s a 50/50 shot if they accept. I can usually snag them at the end of the shopping cycle for that amount.
All I can go by is what they told us. Both my son and myself have tried to get the shops for more than $25 since the price of gas and everything else went up. They won't go past $25.

I MAO Hedgehog shop for $20 and it was rejected. I do not like the food and will not do a shop for less than $20 very close to me.

Try and MAO for $28 and then keep going up a dollar or two each time.

I’ve found that once I accept a shop for a lower fee at a particular location; it’s harder and harder to get more money.
that's why I start my MAO at $36. If they reject it you have to come DOWN $3 to make another offer. I've never heard of going up when my MAO is rejected.

If they reject $36, I resubmit at $33. If that gets rejected, I resubmit at $30. If that is rejected I wait and see what happens. They might call me and offer $25. I'll tell them I'll do it at $30, they'll ask why and I says because that's what I've gotten in the past and it's what I need. They will then submit it and I'll see what happens then.
some ppl keep dogging this msc but they are quite reasonable with pay.

one favorite shop - the In n Out - is way low and yet most ppl don’t have the same level of anger for that msc.

goes to show- everything is relative

Make an offer with an amount they will accept. Take the job for that amount. In two weeks when the MAO for that exact shop is back on the board, make an offer for slightly higher. It’s a process, but the system will start accepting you for higher fees as you raise your offers.

If you always accept jobs for $9 and then ask for $35 it will get rejected each time.

$25 for a Five Guys report + $15 reimbursement? Nope, they're paying me $10 + $15 reimbursement. I wish I had known how detailed the report had to be prior to accepting the shop. I thought it would be fast & easy.
In N Out gives full reimbursement for the order. The report is also much shorter and simpler. You don't have to comment on a bunch of things and sign some nonsense saying you agree to follow their rules with their fry guidelines.

Also, I think people in general appreciate the personal treatment with the MSC for In N Out much better than with the MSC for 5G.

I will patronize In N Out on my own dime. I will never go to 5G with my own money. The price is absurd. It's nearly double what In N Out costs.

But also, the MSC for In N Out doesn't offer shops with NO pay hoping to catch desperate people. So while you won't get rich doing In N Out and other shops for that MSC...at least you feel like they are consistent and not trying to take advantage of people with $0 pay like the MSC for Raisin' Cane's, Dave's Hot Chicken, and some of their other clients.

Capurato,

Base pay here for 5 guys is $9 + reimbursement. About 2 weeks and it goes up to $18 there is somebody in the area that thinks that $18 is enough. But the one that I usually end up doing doesn't get taken a lot, Before the price of everything went up I used to do them for $25 regularly. It was profitable then. Not very but profitable, and I really like the french fries. I've done this same location several times for $35, and a couple of times for $45, but both me and my son have been told by the schedulers that call us, that they will no longer accept MAO for over $25 for any location near us. And by "near" I mean within a 50 mile radius.

Hunh. I get offers of 30+ fairly regularly.

Ugh, once you’ve don’t it for $45 it’s hard to go back to $25. My waistline appreciates fewer 5G trips though lol.

These 5G reports are one of the easiest, most straight forward reports out there. What was long and difficult about it?
@macrophage

These are not the easiest. They are not hard, but they can be long. I hate the multiple pages of entry rather than 1 form like sassie/shopmetrics. I also hate all the commentary boxes for each thing.

Easy is just yes/no (like JITcool smiley.

Like I said, 5g is not difficult, but i can do a JITB report or even Panda Express report in 1/3 the time it takes for 5G report. The Raisin' Cane's report is better than the 5G report as well.

Ah, yes! I see what you mean, now that you put it into perspective. I agree there are much shorter reports out there and I also don't like the way they format their surveys with so many pages.

I've done so many 5G shops now that I know what the questions are on each page and which Flags I can ignore.
