Oh! Yes, I hadn't thought of that. I know it cannot be sent to the same zip code as the Post Office, but thought it would be weird to ship it three towns away to myself, with my name/address on both recipient and return address. However, they're not there to judge, so I guess I can do that.@MsJudi wrote:

I put a different return address on it...not my own. Don't think that would be good
I could just say I'm on my way to the airport and shipping this to myself before I go, if asked. I have actually done that in real life.@mjt9598 wrote:
I would use a different return address. I mail packages from my son's address to myself.

I usually ship stuff I've sold on eBay, but don't have anything today at the 1-2 lb. weight needed. I know some of you send food to food banks, and I'll take a look to see what I have, but I don't think I have anything extra.
What types of items do you usually ship and to what types of businesses/charities? Thanks for any suggestions!
They do reimburse the postage, up to $14. It has to be sent Priority.@metro25782 wrote:
I think it would be great if the MSC would reimburse you (up to $2 or so) if you ship some socks to a homeless shelter or some undies--or HBA products.

Be careful; I read in the guidelines that it has to be shipped to a different zip code AND to a different city.@MsJudi wrote:
I mail boxes of junk to myself...Chase brochures, catalogs, 1 lb bag of beans. As long as it's not your zip code, you can mail to yourself. I pull off the stickers and reuse the boxes until they are worn out.
You can to me in 89110 if that is in your reimbursed area, and I'll send box back to you when my next USPS shops comes up.@sandyf wrote:
Yes as mentioned above you cannot send to zone zero. I live in Los Angeles where there are probably at least 40 but more likely many more zip codes within the metro area. When I started these jobs years ago I checked and none of them worked. I can ship to the next county tho. Zone 8 is now over the reimbursement so I have to use part of my fee to ship to my son now. Hoping a few small bonuses will show up soon.
