Anyone Wish the Whole Foods Shops Would End?
How do you get the whole food jobs?
I do not shop Whole Foods but I would never wish for them to end because I would not want other shoppers to lose out on the shops. If you don't like them, just don't do them.

I hear what you’re saying, but these shops weren’t supposed to go this long. From my understanding it was a year long project and that was it.
I’ll have to let the scheduler know to drop me from the shops.
someone dropped a pick up location recently that is my local store. I really wanted to switch it out for the pick up location I have in the city but Matt did not respond to my email. Iimagine the location in the city is harder to fill.
I'm still grateful for them. Food costs are crazy right now. I'm happy to be able to get some staples reimbursed regularly.
I really wish I saw them again this quarter in my area. I love them. They are SO easy and I need the groceries and stuff I have to buy anyways.
two or three of the stores have popped up in my general area in the last couple of weeks. So if you are interested it might be worth reaching out ot the scheduler that you would like to be a back up shopper and when someone is ready to give up the gig due to chicken and spray cleaner fatigue they will already have your name waiting in the wings.
I love the Whole Foods shops! They are the only grocery store shopped in my area, so I'm grateful to have been doing them this long.

I too have seen appeals for new shoppers in my area. So the advice to get in touch with the scheduler and let him know of your interest is good or if you know the msc keep looking as they have been on the website.
I am doing a pick up location that used to be a 365 store and evidently is much smaller than the average store. They do not have much choice on some items. I can only get one item for the raw meat requirement and it is more expensive than ground beef which they do not have. They have only a limited choice of breads and cheeses as well. So I pretty much can only get the same things. The chicken a few weeks ago was $9.99 a pound which made my entire order way over the reimbursement amt. It was approved but I do wish they would vary the order. I think the packers and delivery people know who I am now as like clockwork I order the same thing and get three bags every time. They do not even ask my name anymore when i show up to pick up.
But with all the issues I still like this job and many others would love to pick up this shop if any of you are tired of it.

Whenever my order is over the maximum reimbursement, I only receive the max. Did the editor automatically change your reimbursement to a higher amount, or did you have to make a special request? If the latter, to whom did you make the request?

You have to get the reimbursement adjusted every time. You can't buy the necessary groceries here for $35. I email the scheduler and send him a list of my products and justification if they are name brands about why this item was ordered (cheaper than 365 or cheapest available at Amazon Fresh or raspberries were cheaper than strawberries this month -- Amazon Fresh has the addition of organic berries) and he will approve the increase usually $4 or $5 extra once I pay for delivery and a $5 tip. I really do wish they would just raise the reimbursed amount. I was fine until they added the delivery fee.
Also has anyone had an alcohol add on? I have been with this project from the beginning at WF and never had one and while the AF one is a newer shop for me also never had alcohol add on.

I am not quite sure what the max is anymore. It was at first $35 for the foodstuffs and then went up to $50 including the delivery fees etc that needed to be reimbursed. Right now in my small store it is impossible for me to order the basket of goods for under $35 unless they are out of stock on something. Even getting the least expensive of each item puts me slightly over that $35 limit and I also have to pay an additional pick up fee if my order is under $35. I am always well under the $50 limit but I do run it by the scheduler when things happen like the week when the only chicken I could order was $8.99 a pound.
Recently I have seen in my area the price of their brands of ice cream go up as well as the price of the most basic cleaning supplies and the basic bread and meats. I expect in coming weeks to see some other items go up to match the general rise in groceries in other stores.
Are others still able to stay under $35 with tax?

My very first pick up shop the total with the least expensive items all around was almost $35. I emailed the scheduler when I saw the pick up fee and asked for permission to spend a few more dollars on my order rather than pay the same amt out in reimbursement and the pick up fee combined. It was approved so I just mention that each time in the first narrative comment space. Now of course it is impossible to stay under $35 with higher prices on the food. I have to order 1.5 pounds of chicken due to the fact that is the smallest order they have. And the more expensive beef cubes as it is the only meat I can order a half pound. All the others are $20 a pound with a minimum order of a pound. I suspect they would okay it up to almost the $50 but I have not tried to push it and usually stick to the cheapo things plus one of the more expensive items if it is on a big sale that week.

I love them and hope they don't end...these are all things I buy regularly and having them paid for AND delivered is amazing. I also think they need to raise the reimbursement since they started charging for shipping. I don't mind so much because I would buy these items anyway and it's usually only $3-$5 over.

I asked this question before because I too thought it was only a year and it automatically rolled me over to the second year. And I got chewed out for asking lol
You can always tell your scheduler that you cannot do them any longer. I am sure they can find someone else. I doubt it would reflect badly on you.

There was a time towards the start of this year when my scheduler, who is generally very nice and responsive, seemed to be a changed person. Since that time he has reverted back into being responsive and calm when I get in touch. At around that time they were also adding another chain to this job. I get the impression that a lot of you have the same scheduler I do so I have no idea if he is handling the entire country. In any case I think he was under a lot of pressure at the time dealing with new shoppers and all their questions, having to find new shoppers for the new program and also replace anyone who chose to drop out after the first year etc. In fact I picked up my current job early December so thinking back perhaps a number of shoppers stopped before the holidays so they could go out of town, entertain etc. and had to be replaced. He bit my head off for a question during that period too and I was worried but I think his old self is back now and I will chalk it up to his job stress at the time.

Youngest Son used to work at Whole Foods, so when a scheduler reached out to me and asked if I was interested I told them no. Now he doesn't and I can't remember what company the scheduler was from! Any hints?

I was asked to do some last minute clean up ones at the end of last year. I did them every day for a couple of weeks and several one-offs with little notice hoping I could get I could get in the rotation. Scheduler communicated with me regularly via email and text until I finished all the shops and ghosted me when I asked to get in the rotation.

If whoever is doing them in Northern Alabama is ready to make a change, I'm pretty sure that my son would be more than happy to jump in and do them.
I did these for about a year and then finally asked the scheduler to drop me... I'm so happy I did! I liked it until I didn't and I haven't looked back.

If am wondering if any of you have successfully ordered bagels or english muffins. I noticed recently "bagel" is listed as one of the examples. I consider english muffins to be in the sliced bun category but the word muffins makes it sound like a sweet bread.
