How did they find out about you having a picture taken? There is no requirement to upload a photo on that report.
Also, the report does not ask you for a self description....your MSC profile might have one, but not the report.
I wonder if you are thinking of a different steak house chain? This doesn't sound like the TR shops.

Resturant video. They ask what you're wearing so they can confirm you were there.

They do NOT ask what you are wearing. I did one just a few short hours ago.
But if you were stupid enough to ask an employee to take your photo you got banned for being memorable. Regular people don't do that. They just take a selfie.

I just did a shop for them the first or April and the only upload that was required was the receipt. I didn't have to take any pictures of my food. I too sat at the bar.

Although his ID shows he's been here for 9 years all his recent posts say otherwise. They're just trying to stir the pot. Or mess with us.

I don’t understand not doing a shop you want to do anyways just because the reimbursement isn’t in full.
Didn’t we all get into mystery shopping exactly for things like this? It’s easy to forget that most of us found it as a cool side hustle and not a way of life. I’ll take any Texas Roadhouse I can do. I’ve never gone over the reimbursement amount, and I’ve always eaten well.
I think it’s important to always do shops like this since it reminds you that ‘this is cool sometimes’ instead of just grinding gas stations out and waiting for a stranger on the internet to argue with what you saw in person

They must have changed the rules. I did mine a few years ago.

Just looked at my shop log...
My first shop for Texas Roadhouse was 1/16/2015. The hours were 6-9pm, you didn't get to go for the early bird special. The reimbursement was $35 and the ONLY photo uploaded was my receipt. I got a 9 on that shop.

When I did it they asked what you were wearing, so they could identify youbat the bar

Either it was before 2015 or you are mistaken. I completed both bar & dining room shops that year. I've never been asked what I was wearing or uploaded a photo of myself or my food.
Having someone take a photo of you was not typical customer behavior. You might want to rethink this line of work. (Oh and pay your credit card bills & taxes too)

According to my log, I completed Roadhouse shops for 14 yrs. until The Nickster removed me. The only pic requirement of me was the receipt.
Yes, you can pay with a gift card. The reimbursement amount is the same regardless of how many people are dining.@Tiffany0921 wrote:
Can we use gift cards to pay for our shop? I finally was able to snag my first TRH, so excited! Also when you do a dine alone at the bar shop, do they reduce the compensation, or is that figured in to the $45 reimbursement?

Check again; they just posted a bunch of dining room shops.@rmkeith wrote:
