Shipping shops are back… but

Well, the shipping shops are back with no reimbursement. How does everyone feel about that?

It's all done on the app. This platform has one of the most stable app I've used.

The app is stable, but the shop is a hot mess now. You need to take pictures, check in, and all the other required data input, but now in a bunch of different sections. And for a flat $15 fee , no reimbursement, you might eek out 50 cents when all is said and done.

Okie, if you haven't already done it, there are introductory "courses" you can take in ISS (dealing with how to use the platform, etc) that will count towards raising your reputation.

ETA: the ones I'm talking about are free. I avoided the one that costs $9.95.

I'm not a big fan of rewarding bad behavior. To basically cut the pay rate in half by removing the reimbursement rate. They can stay on the ISS board till 2034. I can work plenty of better shops for free.
David, I totally agree. And the MSC is all over this forum, even very excited to announce these shops were coming a couple months ago. They have assuredly read the reams of threads about this, with people saying they weren't interested in a non-paying job. But, yet, the MSC forged right ahead with this IC's-will-work-for-no-pay plan anyway, so I guess they will get what they get here. They certainly can't say they weren't warned.

25 posted in my area, and they used to be snatched up within hours of posting. And here we are on Day 3, all 25 sitting there looking lonely.
Zero posted that I can find in my area and I have stacks of schtuff waiting to be shipped to my out of town children.---update: As soon as I typed this whiny complaint I found the shops and can happily send my care packages that needed to be sent anyhow so $15.00 towards postage will make me happy.

21 posted in my area yesterday..............21 still there today. They must be absolutely crazy to think we would do these for no pay without having a legitimate reason to ship something! I suppose if you had to ship something, this would at least cover the cost, but really.....!!!!
It depends on what you want to ship and where. I ship care packages to a college student in AZ. It’s a Zone 8 for me. If I keep it to 2 lb, or under shipping is 18.05 Okay, so only 3.05 out of pocket, I guess, for shipping, and then the payment on top of it. Sweet. But the last package I sent weighed over 6 pounds and I shipped it on my dime as a flat rate package. It was just under $25 flat rate vs just under $40 for priority, and I could send it when I wanted from the most convenient post office at the most convenient time.
But there is no payment on top of it - thats the point of this whole thread. Its a flat $15.There is no fee.
picked one.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
No reimbursement for postage or shipping materials.

Sorry - that was my point. In the past, even if it cost me $3-4 out of pocket for shipping, but I was going to make the fee, which was fairly regularly bonused, if I was willing to drive a couple miles extra. Now, it's not worth it at all to me.
Day 1 - 30 in my area
Day 3 - still 30 in my area
Its a joke. Gotta be.
I picked one up - again - for Thursday. This watch is getting returned come hell or high water.

16/17 shops within ten miles of me remain on the board this morning.
There are only two in my area and they're still up for grabs for several days now.
24/25 still on the board here. So someone took 1 of them, which surprises me as I know the other primary shopper in my area and we already talked about no way taking these. So now I must wonder who is out there lurking...lol!
I got two calls from schedulers for such company. they asking me to pick any.

When you can ship for less money, for example with Pirate Ship, this is not worth the time and effort.
99 showed up in my area. 2 have been taken.

I took one. I have some shipping boxes to get rid of, and I send parcels to a small town food pantry. Only one for 45K people. Not much different from the other MSC. Except exterior photo, more writing and supposed to complete the report onsite.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.
