Grabbed some of my homemade lentil and sausage stew with carrots out of the freezer. Will have that with garlic bread and red wine. It is rainy and chilly here, ergo SOUP.

Braised lamb shanks with orzo and spinach simmered in the (de-fatted) braising broth. (Chicken broth+ garlic, sage, lemon and ?) So, this ends up being a one pot meal, but in two stages.

Going to Larsen's steak house for happy hour, drink and a shrimp cocktail with a bit of listening to the piano player....ambiance, art work, good service, no dishes.

I have some savory leftover lamb and some of the broth that the lamb shanks were simmered in. I will used the broth to cook couscous, then add the lamb and serve sauteed spinach with that. Oh and some crumbled feta on top. Looking forward to one of my favorite flavor combinations.

Finished the leftover chicken. Oddly, spicy mustard mixed into barbecue sauce made a spicy boost for the sinus. I hope that my sinus will not inspire me to do such a thing again, but it really does not matter. All that matters is, I used up the last excuse between cleaning out & cleaning up the 'fridge before going to the grocery store. I must go to the store tomorrow...

Before heading out to do shops, I will put a small chuck roast into the slow cooker with some cream of mushroom soup, red wine, shiitake mushrooms, and seasonings. Will steam some carrots and make mashed potatoes. This will yield enough pot roast and gravy for 2 meals now and 2 -2 meal freezer packs.

Finishing up my chicken with another salad, then making a chicken soup out of the rest. Bought some beautiful asparagus for .99 on my job...dessert will be pound cake with berries and cool whip later while watching American Idol.

BBQ ribs with jalapeno sauce, potato and zucchini tian, green bean casserole.
Currently on a ski holiday, so easy is important. Whole chicken in oven, whole potatoes in oven too. Will boil some carrots. Yogurt and chopped green onion to top baked potato.
