Finishing tri-tip salad from yesterdays lunch...."Stone Fire Grill" (the best) traveled 50 miles RT for this lunch, huge portions, fresh, healthy, run by woman...third one in L.A. friend and I had a great time.
Leftover stew. The recipe yielded a mild but flavorful stew. I adjusted for the addition of arugula which substituted for some of the required kale. The next carnation of the stew will include more herbs and more veggies. Bottom line: this is basically a keeper recipe.

Last night I experimented with an old favorite supper. I made angel hair pasta with pesto sauce. The new part was that I smoked fresh shrimp over alder wood to add to it. Sooo glad that I made enough to have more tonight! Add a little Parmesan cheese plus garlic bread, enjoy with a smooth red wine. Heavenly, simple, food.
