My day included getting the ingredients for Bgriffin's beef Stroganoff, which will be in the slow cooker all day tomorrow. I have a very nice focus group with lunch during the day.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Let me know how it is! I thought it was pretty yummy, but....full disclosure.....that is only the second time I have eaten beef stroganoff and the first time I've ever cooked it.

I did a hardware store shop that had a nice bonus and got some "free" 3M Filtrete air filters (my scenario). Now I am making chicken and dumplings because it is easy-to-chew comfort food...
Oh I did a search and found the link for your beef stroganoff. I would use rotini instead of macaroni, or maybe egg noodles?
I might try that in October or November. Am I the only one who eats seasonally?

Yes. What a maroon.

I usually only eat chili in the winter, but for some reason I had a craving for it about a week ago and made some. And soups and stews are fall/winter foods. But everything else it doesn't really matter.
Porch time. Gathering stuff for donation. DIY facial-- think a sandblaster might be more effective, but I can try.....

Today all of us are huddled in the living room, (all of us being me, my wife, and our two dogs). The kitchen is under assault by contractors. It's noisy and dusty. I need to go do my last two stations but I"m waiting for my wife to wake up from a badly needed nap. We are living out of an ice chest and a grocery bag of muffins, bread, and peanut butter. Yay. I did remember to set up a coffee station in another room, but I didn't have milk this morning. I used some cold iced coffee out of the ice chest instead in my hot coffee. Yummy!
How long is it all going to take? As much as I would love to remodel my kitchen, I'm just not sure I could handle living out of cooler and no milk for my cappuccino would be a living hellsmiling smiley

They don't know until they get the floor up to see just how much damage there is. I am no stranger to renovation and in my expert opinion it could go on a couple of weeks because the floor joists have to dry which could eat up several days.
Hi All,

Today and for the next few days I'm visiting with my Mom and eating great wonderful food. She knows what I like, she knows me from the first day of my life. She is my best friend, and she cooks for me.

You know what I did today besides shopping? Nothing. I actually worked today! 1 month and 3 days after my last shop. Have I mentioned I love this business?

Two years ago I bought a stevia plant and grew it on the deck with the other herbs. It was a PITA to turn into a powdered sweetner.

I find stevia fairly disgusting. It tastes too much like artificial sweetener. I never substitute for a natural ingredient, I just eat less of it.

I think you could probAbly put it in a tea ball and let it steep in your beverage, but that might only work with a hot beverage. It has kind of a bitter backtaste. I prefer honey.
Good point!

That is awesome. I have noticed that on days I shop I stack it high and don't do anything else. I think that is why I like it. It demands my full focus. If I had a job in customer service, or whatever, I'd be bored all day. No thanks.

This morning we had to take our beloved little dog to have surgery. She had a torn ACL. Then we came home and collapsed into nap mode due to the heat and little sleep. Was woken by a call from the surgeon saying everything went well and she can come home tomorrow. The kitchen is full of giant fans and a huge dehumidifier. The sound is deafening. It's so loud our other dog won't go in there by herself to use the doggie door into the back yard. I have to pick her up and carry her out. I really don't know what I'll spend the rest of the afternoon doing. I can't clean, too hot for yard work. Maybe I'll work on spreadsheets.
Extra gentle scritches to beloved little dog, please. smiling smiley

I am watching an old movie and organizing my thoughts around upcoming new-to-me assignments.

While the moderators work to remove the posts and the poster, quoting the troll won't help matters.
