I look forward to someday getting an Aldi's. We do have a 2 dollar generals and one save a lot, but there is no curbside and I'm not inclined to enter the stores. The dollar generals are quite new but very disorganized with tiny aisles. The save a lot is newish and roomier but I can make an educated guess that no one will be wearing a mask.
Aldi employees work hard for their pay..they have to run cash registers, stock shelves, and clean the store.

I have sort of wondered about that. I am in my favorite Aldi's probably 3 times a month and in my regular other grocery store about the same. I never see the same employees twice at Aldi's yet am pretty much on a first name basis with the gals at my regular other grocery. There are always ads here offering "Careers" with Aldi's, listing lots of benefits for FT while only offering PT.
I know, I used to shop them. But if I was going to take a job somewhere in retail, I would rather be all over the store than standing at the register on my feet for an entire shift. That would kill my feet and my back. And I would rather make $4 more an hour and work hard for it.

Well, I got to the MD PUA web site at 4:10 AM and am told that my wait time is 34 minutes. I opted to get an email when I near the front of the line. So, the coffee maker is working, and I am hopeful.

wales, that's awesome! I was in a virtual line for over 10 hours, and then the system went down for maintenance.

It worked perfectly. My wait time was 32 minutes. The bad news is that, as I suspected, my business expenses for 2019 lowered my taxable net on Schedule C to below the minimum to qualify. But, at least now I know. Also, the system is very helpful. If I missed an answer, it told me exactly what was needed.
It was worth getting up at 4 AM as far as I am concerned. btw, at 4:10 AM it showed about 10,000 people in line ahead of me to enter. So, don't be discouraged if the numbers look large.

I think I can qualify for state unemployment due to my reason for resigning from a W-2 job. I seriously doubt that I would qualify for the federal PUA. It's okay. It's just good to know that the system is up and running and people will finally know, one way or another, what is ahead for them,

Yesterday Costco was out of tofu, so today I went to an ethnic food market to buy some. There was a sign on the door for only one person per basket, but it wasn't being enforced-I saw three different couples shopping. They weren't enforcing the Express aisle limit either-the dude (with female partner) in front of me easy had four dozen items.

Heck, Wales, I thought the current fashion was long vines cascading from high ledges in the new McMansions!
Ran out of ink for my printer last night. Plus I had to refill a prescription. So went to Walmart today and got both done.
I don't have a mansion, but I do have a high shelf ledge by the front entrance hallway with long vines growing from it, LOL! It's not watermelon, though, it's pothos, which are ridiculously easy to grow.

Yep, the seeds get started on the windowsill in k-cups. After they grow, they are transplanted to the deck.

Since I'm only doing online, pickup shopping, I don't have any annual flowers this year. Not going to let someone else pick them out for me, and I'm not going to be out of pocket for them. For years, I've gotten them, reimbursed, from shops. However, some of my last year's annuals have volunteered. Petunias and dahlias. I was plucking weeds last week. A huge mass with shallow roots pulled up in one piece. I plopped it in a deck planter and it's thriving. Can't wait to see if it flowers. I don't know what it is, but if my cats smell it on my hands, they want to eat my fingers off.
Today, I got out the hedge trimmers and got to work on azaleas, loropetalums and knockout roses. Not the favored time of year to prune, but in my yard, these guys cannot be killed. Also, burned an old rotten wood toolbox, pallets, and mail with confidential info (instead of shredding).

I'm trying to figure out why Hotmail (AKA Outlook.com) isn't functioning on just my desktop computer. Works fine on the laptop, iPhone, and iPad.

Work. Nap. News. Hmm....The early job was lessened slightly due to COVID-19 and other, more pertinent factors. Most others in that job will work five days per week, and we and two others will work six days per week. Hubby and I will not qualify for the federal benefits, but we might qualify for state unemployment due to our reason for resigning from a W-2 job last year. We will just slash our spending to 80% of drastic and get more sleep on the one truly free day each week. (Any additional cuts will push us to 100% of drastic, but we have time to ease into that.)

My ledge is about 10 feet long? It separates the side hall from my kitchen area and is an open space under the vaulted ceiling. I have assorted plants in nice decorative containers up on it so they can be seen from the dining room and kitchen as well. The pothos vines hang down the wall on the hall side.

Did it work before? Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office, you have that on your desktop?

Although I use Outlook for my home calendar, it has nothing to do with the online version. Several years ago Microsoft re-branded Hotmail, which is now part of the online Outlook suite. After trying a couple of things I ended up restarting my computer, which installed some updates, and I was back in business.

Reboot was going to be my next suggestion.
Today I replaced the "old" windowsill seeds that haven't sprouted with ones I picked up this week. I am also going to give the English Lavender a try.
