What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

@KathyG, Hope your hubby's oral surgery went smoothly!!

Well, I bought 2 dresses at one thrift store where the profits go to drug rehab, homelessness and kids homes. Then I bought 2 tops at another thrift store where the profits go to abused women. Then I bought some bath mats at Big Lots!

I went on a spontaneous hike after a shop. I wore my Uggs, so I had to be very cautious on the rough terrain and sopping dirt. I was knee deep in my thoughts and got lost on the return. Luckily my spidey sense got me back to my car.

I felt so good when I got home, I didn't have any wine, just water.

Work, extra work x 3, and grocery store (not a shop). Now: nap. ! Eventually: workout and work on projects.

Me too, Wales!!
where's mine?? haha I just ate steak, mashed potatoes and organic green beans. I'm stuffed. Mom called and I did about 7 or 8 surveys from Google Opinion Rewards!!! cha ching...it is adding up quickly. Planning on a shopping trip tomorrow for sure.
My stimulus check went to the prepaid card I had to get for my tax shop. Mind you, the card was cancelled after I transferred my tax return. The card people are sending me a check.

The tax fees were not reimbursed, so I had to chase that payment. I was paid today.

The extra funds are in a savings account. Some of it is earmarked for a new fridge, microwave and tankless hot water heater. The remainder will go into my investment accounts or something frivolous. Or both!

Work, extra work x 3, and a little happy dance. It has been announced that there is a new person for a statewide management position for the early job. Perhaps because they will have a title and some authority, the changes I mentioned in the beginnings of not-quite-a-pre-treatise will be addressed. And if they can go beyond that and correct the problems, huzzah! Mind you, I still love the early job. Somehow, others must find it and love it-- or at least appreciate it and keep it for awhile.

Eventually, we will clean one car and start the icky process of cleaning all doors and doorways. Bleh!

Picking up an item offered on Freecycle when I recently placed a "wanted" post for a Pyrex lid to fit a 1 qt Corning Ware casserole. This is a rare find and also fits well with today's shop location. Nailing down 3 regional bank shops with considerable bonuses for next week.

I have more Pyrex than lids, but mine were wedding presents 40 years ago. If I can find they lid it's considered vintage and priced accordingly.

Shopped at Walmart and spent my survey reward gift certificate on Vital Proteins collagen peptides...unflavored. It is collagen and amino acids so it can't hurt me. Doesn't taste or smell bad.
Eye doctor visit tomorrow for contact lenses.

Drove to school to get my forgotten purse. sad smiley
Carried on to Costco, Hubby went to Michael's and wine making supply store. Drove home on random country roads. Nice day off.
First day with snow in a long time. But I am getting tires switched to summer.
Drop car off before noon and walk to school for afternoon of "no absent teacher" so not sure what grade/grades I'll be covering.
But first week 2, day 3 Couch to 5K

Work, extra work x 3, affirm that person or persons will pick up these 3 extra units of work asap, and more work. Perhaps tomorrow I can spend a few minutes with the book that I started to read a few days ago.

Getting 2nd Moderna covid shot. On the way picked up two flats of local strawberries so will spend the rest of the afternoon washing, culling, stemming, cutting up and setting some to freeze, some to macerate and some to make a strawberry pie.

Had to take our phones in today to find out why I could text Hubby but he couldn't reply or text me at all. He could phone me.
They were baffled too. It suddenly started to work while I was there. Anyway, they had a guess about what it was.
After I finish a bank report long-time housemate and I will team up to run a bunch of errands: drop of x 2 at UPS; pick-up a half-price Greek pizza for me to freeze; quick stop at Aldi; collect dry cleaning; drop-off at local shelter. Back home to do KP, tame some of the clutter in the dining room; list stuff on Ebay; smoke some wild caught salmon; do laundry.

Late work & late extra work x 3, more work which somehow must happen with me not falling asleep because there was not enough time for a proper nap between jobs, and defer today's task list until tomorrow. And, no book. Again.*crawls away to look for toothpicks which might be used to prop eyes open at next job*

Today was Aldi's and laundry. I will catch up on my missed TV show OnDemand. I bought a fitness tracker from Aldi's for $5. I'm planning my lunch for work next week.

Hubby is hosting poker tonight and I am going over to one of the women's houses for socializing. I try not to give him too much advice on his meal and general preparation, but hearing all the thumps and cussing from the other room is enough to get me out of the house early!

Went to a "Beast Feast" yesterday, and for the first time in my 68 (this coming Tuesday) years, I ate squirrel meat in two fried wontons, and shot a 20 gauge shotgun rifle at a target practice....didn't hit anywhere near the target, haha!! But it was something I wanted to try. The squirrel meat was finely chopped up in the wonton with some cabbage, so it tasted OK to me!
Today is laundry and price matching my fridge.

I have physically returned to work full time. So used to the non-commuting that it's depressing. Today, deep cleaned two bathrooms and just two loads of laundry. Researched investments, made lunch for everyone and am ready to start dinner. Nice thing is I have help with that. :-) I wanted to go to a new supermarket today but wind and heavy rains precluded that. Hope you all are having a great day.
Yesterday I walked up to the grocery store for Hubby. Bought four 2-liter bottles of soda, put them into my bags, and carried them home. Today my shoulder muscles are killing me!

Auspicious beginning to my free day: after plenty of sleep, I am up early and delving into a book. A book! Reading! How long has it been?! Later, there will be just one project type and some of its component tasks.More of that project is meant for the rest of the week. (FlyLady would be pleased.) I already completed the daily workout, and I am good to go!
