@prince. During the pandemic, I used to attend those classes online with my daughter when she was in 3rd grade. Some students were in school and some were attending from home and the chaos was unbelievable. How much energy can they have. Poor teacher used to shout through her mask and half of them didn't listen anyways.
Watching the Garage Sale Mystery Movie Collection. So far, looks promising. A full day of cooking lies ahead. Also, I learned to make gift bags from old catalogs and maps from Youtube, Monday night at 11 pm when I couldn't sleep.

Lovelovelove the Garage Sale Mysteries that I have seen. I still want the complete set, but that will wait. Meanwhile, today is all about testing the voice. It was strong most of the day yesterday. Today, it is barely there. But this is a good thing. I get to stay at home and do whatever I want to do! Being a boring old soul, I am only cleaning house and working out, spreading the walking portion throughout the day.

It varies so much from class to class. This class has so many unusual behaviours, it does feel like chaos to me. Hopefully, their teacher is back tomorrow, and hopefully she is well. Doesn't pay to return too soon sometimes.

A volunteer shift was aborted when I forgot to wear the required closed-toe shoes. Without that commitment I had to kill time before I was able to start the three shops I had scheduled in the area. By the time all three shops were done I had my steps for the day!

More of pantry project. We are nearly finished with sorting. and the last big challenge is to force everything to fit neatly into the front part of the center shelves (or into/onto the additional kitchen storage that I have devised for my small space living adventure). The pantry shelves are sturdy, deep, and stationery. Things tend to move to the back of the shelves, where I cannot reach them without climbing or kneeling. Once in awhile, it is not so bad to do these things. When it is a daily event, I risk undoing all the good that surgeries and physical therapy have accomplished. On a brighter note, we went to the store yesterday (not a shop) and bought just the ingredients that will up some foods that I have wanted to get rid of for awhile and a few that form the basis of quick future meals. I can hardly wait to use one food in three different ways: soup, salad, and a variation on one layer of a traditional seven layer salad. Hmm. Mmm? I will not tell you what it is unless/until I am reasonably certain that you would want to know if it was effective.

After a kolache shop breakfast with Hubby we walked to the grocery store. Got home ten minutes before the skies darkened and a deluge started. In the afternoon I took the car for an oil change. Walked to a nearby Goodwill and discovered they have gotten rid of their dressing rooms. All of the shorts I purchased will have to be returned :-(

And... Hah! I have my motivation to finish this dratted project and celebrate in some non-caloric way. According to 'Days of the Month' the entire month of May is Get Caught Reading Month. For people who have forgotten what a book is or are too new on the planet to have seen an actual book, there is even a set of instructions for getting started....

Thank you. I will get there as soon as I can. I just finished putting things away in the pantry, setting up for a cooking day or two, and gazing for a few minutes at my pantry which is good enough for now. I actually found a temporary solution to the peripatetic foods issue. I was going to put books or other items that I can live without for awhile at the back of the shelves. They would not permanently alter the shelves, but they would reduce the depth of the shelf space and cut the pasta off at the pass, haha. Please do not throw Roma tomatoes for this pun in bad taste. I put the pasta where I can easily reach it and will use about half of it for an experimental recipe (the one that may or may not be effective). After I stock the pantry I can try my new pantry trick and possibly some from AT.

Hubby and I were headed out of town for a meeting this weekend. We were less than 10 mines from the house before I announced I wanted to make a stop...at a new mega gas station and C-store called Wally's. Holy cow! The store has a popcorn station, beef jerky bar, bakery case, a coffee/beverage bar, and a carving station. Outside there are 72 fueling stations!

Grade five today and such a bad sleep last night. Holding up the couch counting the minutes until bed time lol
DD has been suffering from a bad toothache. Had to pick her up from school on Thursday and today, we went to the dentist. Thankfully, it's just new teeth pushing through the gums. To brighten her day, we went to her favorite Trampoline Park and I picked two mattress shops near the park. On the way, she wanted MOD pizza! It was delicious.
Recent snow is melting and revealing greener grass, I can fuhgeddaboud the kitchen stuff for awhile, and this is the perfect day to play the free trial versions of a few PC games online.

Highest May temps in over a decade here for 3 days. Shops that could require me to walk a couple of blocks each way have been moved into cooler days next week. House chores today. Tomorrow, 2 parking shops at locations where I can shelter-in-place. No significant cooking going on, although I may smoke some salmon to later used for cold dinners.

Looking online for a new chair. The ones I liked cost twice as much as I want to spend, but they look like they will involve only half the hassle of the more typical designs. I want something sturdy, free of memory foam, free of those big/poofy segments that are intended for someone's neck or upper back, and a light neutral color. The head/neck thing is not negotiable. I need to adjust neck support as needed and do not want to be forced into position by a chair. The color is not as important. I have no qualms about covering with a huge throw in my preferred color. Fortunately, one feature is easy and possibly a money saver. Will continue this search.

Washing clothes today, since its a rainy day and can't do much else.
My daughter has COVID. We took four different tests at home and they all came positive. So, apparently it wasn't the toothache last week as the dentist confirmed. It was her jaw hurting, an early sign I suppose. We both tested negative but I think we both will get it too.
The month of May has been really rough for us. Flu and now this. And just last Friday night, I had to call 911 because of an allergic reaction my husband was having. He had a business dinner with his company and it was something he ate. He came home and at night started feeling nauseated and short of breath. His heart was racing. Paramedics said it was an allergic reaction to grapeseed oil that was used at the restaurant. They even advised us to stay home. We took a trip to the hospital just to be sure. They didn't have to give him anything but just monitored him for a while. Thankfully, it was just that and we took an Uber and came home at 1 in the morning. Looking forward to an uneventful June.

Received an email today that someone at the meeting Hubby and I attended over the weekend tested positive for Covid. So for the next ten days (or until and unless symptoms develop) I will be masking and keeping my distance. The good news is that since Hubby was with me we don't have to quarantine from each other.

Can relate to some extent to the discomfiture of some shop/audit clients who must hurry up and wait to be inspected. Inspections here are annual, mandatory, and random. We are given a date by which to be ready. That is all we know. Will they come to us today, or won't they? I know that our unit will pass muster, but it is always like living on pins and needles until the deadline has passed and we can breathe freely again.

New day, new stuff. Well, a bit of commentary on old stuff. We passed our inspection and are back on our schedule. So today is all about two rooms, one decision regarding flower seeds, and chuckling when we look around and see all the plush. Not bling and lux fabrics, mind you. These are the many fluffy constituents of our very own plush menagerie. I am keeping all the collected ones and the inherited ones. They play well together and they don't eat much. So what if it looks like we live in kindergarten?! It is the antidote for house pride, perfectionism, and stuffiness.

This morning my car wouldn't start. AAA technician came and gave me a jump, said I might want to have my alternator looked at, and told me to leave the car running for 30 minutes. I texted Hubby to see if he wanted to go on a drive with me. He did. Our 'drive' ended up being towards the pet store for cat food, but we parked a mile away from the store and walked to and from to get steps in.
