Yes, Yes, Yes!! About 3 years ago, hubby & I traveled through Virginia on Highwy 1. It was GREAT! We saw such beautiful countryside that we would never had seen had we driven on Interstate 81. Definitely worth the extra time to see this beautiful countryside! We met some of the nicest folks, too!!@KathyG wrote:
but on the way home went on a Route 66 byway that paralleled the Interstate. Stopped at a great coffee shop, hit a grocery store for the produce we needed, and walked on part of a trail in a state park before finally pulling into the garage. Total mileage was less than 10 miles over what the Interstate would have been but SO MUCH more fun!
Have fun with the hotel shop! That sounds exciting!@walesmaven wrote:
Drop off at USPS (not a shop); pick-up Rxs; stop for frozen yogurt and fruit for lunch; work on prepping front master bedroom suite for rental ad; plant flowers in pots on deck visible from living room; prep for hotel shop tomorrow; 2 loads of laundry.

Happy Do-Day Day, or salute to silliness! I am not sufficiently awake to figure out how to celebrate this one or do something spontaneous, but maybe i am just awake enough to contemplate International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.
