Just got back home about 45 minutes ago after having a crown placed in place of my left, lower back molar. It looks so purrrrrty!!! My dentist is awesome! It was interesting for me in that, this is the first time in my 69 years that I've ever had ANY type of local anesthesia when having any dental work. I'm typically a "drill and fill" gal, but he convinced me some time back that I would really benefit from having some local anesthesia this time, so I did. And I'm glad. I made sure he did not use any with epinephrine in it, since that makes my heart palpate too much. All in all, it was great! He was able to save some of the original tooth, so that made it easier for him to "cement" on the crown, so to speak. I didn't need a root canal, so that was good...saved time and money! So I'm back home now, and my mouth has awakened about 85%. Still sleepy in spots, haha! The total time was just under 2 hours. The technology today is awesome!
