What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Today the morning was taking my DD to her speech session, breakfast, find a new swimming suit and summer outfit for DD. Then it was on to a birthday party. Hot wings for dinner and now I trying to will myself to exercise but I'm sleepy!

Recently read Unselfie. Learned about standing up to bullies and other things that we might, unfortunately, need to do. Today, saw (in June's Journey game, of all places) an example of how moral courage is "supposed" to work with bullies. Wish we did not need to do these things...

Flew home to Chicago from 7 days visiting daughter in Oakland CA. I'm exausted from all the sightseeing via foot.
Tried a new brand of tights. Purchased according to the price point. Pretty sure that my facial contortions during the donning process would have won a prize for ghastly grotesqueness, or exquisite contortionism, or something...

Lunch with friends I've known since grade 7 in 1967

We're making party plans. My niece has hired a psychic friend of hers to come to my sister's house and also invited a group of friends and relatives to be there for this event. Apparently, the psychic is super super intuitive, so there's the entertainment factor.
So we're doing the menu today and letting others choose what they want to bring via group text.
Also headed to the lake today for a walk...there's a walking path around it.

Flashback... Anyone remember Margaret Sutton's Judy Bolton? Young amateur sleuth Judy Bolton and her little friends solved mysteries and explored occult themes. I might still have the book about exposing
the fake psychics. Something about a crystal ball in the title? What a gas!

Anyyywaaaaayyy, for giggles I am comparing math textbooks from different decades. There seems to be no formula for presenting math that is classic, timeless, and enduring...

Oh, I understand your sadness! Hope you find ways to see each other from time to time!
Need to change phones. Old one is out of date and cannot be updated again. This transfer process is mystifying and annoying. Will try yet again to keep the same phone number, even if I will need to reload some apps... Shouldn't this process be smooth and refined now, after decades of cell phones?!

I upgrade my iPhone a couple years ago and it went fairly smoothly - but I replaced it with another iPhone.
Is that the same brand phone you are seeking to transfer?
Went to the Aquatic Center with DD and signed up for summer. Six Flags is a 45 minute drive and is becoming a PITA. I've been asking mum to visit us but she says her feet bother her on long flights. Dad cannot come because he had his knee replacement surgery a year and a half ago and doesn't want to travel. We might visit them for Thanksgiving. @Shopper797 I understand how you feel. It is hard sometimes.
I feel for you. :-(

Working from home today. Unfortunately, I did not get to do any of the never, ever piling laundry. Having fun with teenager furry puppy baby love. He is 7 months old and a fresh teenager in human years. He is huge now. Where did our tiny baby go?

No. I am switching from one Android brand to other Android brand. There are clear instructions for i to Android but nothing relevant for me. I am figuring out this non-intuitive process a little at a time...

We are thinking about adopting a small-sized dog for our family. My neighbor's sister volunteers at a shelter and she offered some info. Petco has an event on Sunday for adopting dogs. We will have help from our nice neighbors. They have three dogs.
Grade one today. Having same grade one class 3 days this week. They're exhausting grinning smiley

Walked down a big hill, spent some time on a rugged trail and then back up the big hill. Had to stop 3 times. Only 1.19 km total. Hoping to get back to my hiking group!

Baked oatmeal/raisin cookies to take to staffroom tomorrow. Will do the same for the other school I went to often. Did some chocolate chip instead of raisin. I think chocolate chips belong in oatmeal cookies. Others disagree grinning smiley
