What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Kitchen clean-up, cleaning out refrigerator, at least 2 loads of laundry, deep conditioning my hair, 2 reports, changing bed linens, scheduling another hotel shop, reworking the MS schedule for Friday thru Monday.

CQ, I slept-in in anticipation of that list and am just having first coffee at 8:30. I work slowly, but steadily. Since I have to get up from the computer and walk around regularly, a lot of 3-5 minute breaks from long reports can accomplish a lot of KP and laundry folding, lol.

Sorry to hear that, Irene! That's terrible.

Nursing my laryngitis and rescheduling shops. Two shops have phone portions, that's definitely not going to happen.
Another load of things to the new condo--the same thing I've done every day this week :-)

Day 3 with no heat. I tried using my fireplace to heat my house. My living room quickly filled with smoke. The oven is doing a great job.

Early job will be late... Eventually, I will donate stuff and do a few other errands.

I get to stay home today so I'm cleaning out the refrigerator, and cooking two giant packages of chicken breasts and thighs. I freeze them in individual or meal size portions and use them when I'm busy. After they are done and after I finish the dishes I'll make a blackberry/raspberry cobbler.
Cooked all day. Chicken Soup, Chicken salad, Chicken Pie, and potato salad. Just found out that one of my neighbors has Alzheimers, who is 10 years younger than I am. Terrible disease. Made two of everything and brought it over for her husband to reheat.
I don't mean that I liked you don't have heat. Does your homeowners' cover it?

My youngest is still in town. This morning we said goodbye to her 15 year old lab mix at the vet. I've had her while daughter is at college. Best dog we've ever had. Going out to eat tonight. Sunday she leaves so I'm spending as much time as I can. Very bitter/sweet day.
Homeowners covers outside only, honny's Ins. may cover, depends. Bringing more stuff to new place, and moving in Monday...as is Kathy, schelping, not a clue where I put anything, but it will work out. Thinking of a small cruise to Cabo when this is done, I NEED a rest.

I know. I didn't think to look at my homeowner's insurance since my home warranty is covering it. They need to order a part. Meanwhile, I bought a space heater. It's for small spaces, and my bedroom is nice and toasty.

A year ago my main drain was clogged. That's the drain that leads to the sewer system. No wastewater left my house. I called my homeowner's company and made a claim. I let them know it was an emergency.

I met Sewer Dude in WaWa because he was wearing his company's logo. I told him my issue and asked how much he charged. He gave me an affordable "cash in an envelope" price, and was at my place the next day. He fixed the problem. That was when my homeowner's company called.

I got a birthday card from my chiropractor giving me a 15-minute hydromassage. It's the same offer he sends out every year, but I usually don't get around to using it. This year I'm going to treat myself to that massage and a pedicure after everything is moved.

Still blushing after a day in clown pants... It all started when the next smaller size fit well at 1 am and went downhill from there,,, The fabric does not stretch. The shoe heels do not lose elevation. By midday, the pants were dragging the ground, and I was doing all sorts of gyrations to avoid tripping over them... absurd! ( had belts, higher heels, and other pants at home. I chose not to buy more.) The interesting part of the day was gleaning bits and pieces of the ever-changing landscape of mil's aging process. Fortunately, she does well overall and has a great deal of common sense. The other little things that happen simply inspire a raised eyebrow or provide a little pop of color.

Today is for the usual suspects: sort, clean, workout, and get rid of stuff. Yawn.

Had house deep cleaned, they literally threw everything out...now in Mc'd's and will get a manicure soon, then move things into new place. Schelping, will it ever end, will be in by Monday. Starting third life, humm......

Honny,
Turn off the oven! It will be near 70F today! 65 F tomorrow. When is the repair part due ?

Wow, that's a long life for a lab mix...usually bigger dogs don't live to be 15. I had a lab who lived to be 13.
He was smart, sweet, and funny, just a great companion. I am sorry for your loss, I know you had a lot of great years and lots of unconditional love.

Today I'm doing dishes, doing laundry. I was going to go out to a satsang but it's very windy here and our dogs freak out. If I had a child hiding under the chair trembling I wouldn't leave them and I'm not leaving my dogs either.
How's Lucy doing, CQ?

You know this thread has been going for 2.5 years now? You and Honny know how to make a thread that lasts, LOL!

Baking banana bread. Well really, banana muffins because I was too lazy to grease the pans!
The oven didn't like being on for that long. When I woke up on Friday, it turned itself off. When I turned it on, the temperature read -525. Not good.

Because the temperature in my house was in the low 50s, outdoor temperatures of 70s would take a few days to balance. I bought a space heater and am holed up in my bedroom until Monday when they do the repair.

Lucy is wonderful. The surgery was successful and she runs like a thoroughbred. She does have some pain after an active day but we give her pain medication and she seems to do okay and enjoys life. Both our dogs are senior citizens so we appreciate the time we have left with them. They come first in our lives.

Hard to believe this thread has been going that long. Who'da thunk it?

Did you buy more than 1 martini glass this time?

I broke my martini glass. I went to make a dirty martini to celebrate submitting my final. When I picked up the vermouth, it hit the glass and shattered it. I'm headed to GW tomorrow.
After a morning meeting I came home and packed more things in boxes for the move. Hubby and I went to church, and he took me out for a birthday dinner...followed by dessert at Culver's.

I ended up not getting one. The ones in GW were either small or scratched.
