What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Well I don't like complaining but my side hurts like a MF where the drain was. It's really sore. All my high falutin' plans of cleaning the bathroom were for nothing. I laid around and napped all day. I'm sure I'll be much better tomorrow. I typically recover faster than most people.
My head is full of things I want to do but my body is not cooperating LOL.

I understand. Today, three rooms should have been pristine. Instead, there was extra work and more extra work. This necessitated a nap. But a few things were completed, and I made stew. The leftovers will be better tomorrow (because this is the way of stew). I know how it feels to organize and plan and then be thwarted by pain and fatigue. I might be your loudest cheerleader for taking care of you.

CQ, listen to your body. It will tell you when you are pushing too hard.

Well today was the first day since getting sick that I actually wanted coffee. And it tastes good. So that is a turning point. I'm eating my yogurt and making Ann some cinnamon rolls. (the refrigerated kind.) She likes them but I think they have a chemical taste. Anyway, I will see where the day takes me. I feel pretty good except when I move LOL.

Hahaha! Wait till you get a few more years on you. My head is FULL of things that I tell myself I could do. Then my body says, nope! Not having any part of it...I've paid my dues and that's that!! I'll soon be 67.
Work, more work, and still more work. Mani/pedi. [done.]
Clean something. Sort something. [miracles do happen, you know.]
Binge watch Murder She Wrote. [Yeah This is fun. Get a load of the 80's hairdos!]

CQ, I had a lump removed from neck because it was sitting on a facial nerve. I had no sense of taste for a few weeks after the surgery.

This was over 10 years ago and I still remember how good that first coffee tasted after my tastebuds came back!

It's a miracle! I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher and put dinner in the crock pot. My pain level was about a 5 (if yesterday was a 10). It's creeping back up so I took some tylenol and sat down to chill for a bit.
I"ll be 60 this year. My doctor told me that I am not a spring chicken anymore LOL. Duh.

Hope you feel better soon. sad smiley

Are you ready for some fooooooootbaaaaaaaaalllll?

I am not. I know the two teams for the Super Bowl. I have to work tomorrow and will not see the big game.

What about you? Are you attending, watching, rooting, ignoring, etc.?

I have no idea who is even playing and do not care. But, hubby will probably want to watch it, even though he isn't big into sports (thank goodness). I usually enjoy the commercials.

Lying around being lazy today.
I don't care about sportsball. All I see is a big excuse for tribalism. If we left it there it might be useful, but we don't. I was going to make an excursion to do a small errand today and see how that went, but I am tireder than I was yesterday so maybe tomorrow. I threw leftovers out of the fridge except for last nights which we will have tonight. I did a load of dishes and threw together a little apple cake which is in the oven. Now I"m going to make lunch and after that I'll probably nap.
When I cook my chicken in the crockpot, I pull the skins off when the chicken is tender (falling off the bone) and then...I put the skins on a small baking sheet and crisp them up in the toaster oven until they are the texture of bacon. I know, not healthy, but soooo delicious.

wales, I like crispy skin on chicken. That can't happen in a crock pot.

I did a shop at the same brand grocery store as yesterday, and chicken thighs were on sale this week for $0.99/pound. I took the skin off and half went in the crock pot with the ranch pesto ingredients, and the other half went in the freezer.

wales, thanks again for that recipe!
Had to stop by the urgent care again to have them look at the finger they removed a splinter from last week. Today's doctor removed two additional pieces of foreign matter. I left with a prescription for a different antibiotic. Later in the day we bought some cube shelves at Target, and Hubby put them together. We ran out of steam to attach them to the wall.

Today is church and homework. Maybe a mani-pedi if I can find a place that's open.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Work times three. Study for upcoming shops (it has been awhile...). Organize merch stuff in car.

The sun finally came out for the first time in a few weeks and it's going to be in the high 40s, yay! I will dust and vacuum, as it is much easier to see fine particulates in the sunlight. I am also starting chili in my crockpot that will be ready by Wednesday when the temperatures fall again.
I am binge watching Lifetime Movie Network today, I hate to admit, I have seen most of the movies!

Whoever had the idea to create a pirogi quesadilla is a Nobel worthy genius!

I need details about the perogi quesadilla, please.

I ended up dusting and vacuuming, and my husband (gasp!) mopped behind me!!!! And washed all the small rugs, too. House looks great and smells fresh smiling smiley
Today I met my best friend for a wonderful Deli breakfast at "Uncle Bernie's Deli (not a shop). We had a blast, then went to a concert and back home.

Live consciously....
Today felt more like May than February! Hubby and I walked to the grocery store to pick up some things for the Super Bowl. I wore my lightest jacket, but took it off and tied it around my waist. We also finished our cube shelf storage project in the office.

Please share about your video glasses smiling smiley

Me too! I googled it and found a reddit thread about how WaWa makes them. Since Honny frequents WaWa, I'm assuming that she got it there? Anyway, it seems like it's mashed potatoes and cheese in between tortillas? Anyway, that sounds delish!!!

Well then. I never even had a perogi until I moved to Ohio 20 years ago. There are so many different varieties it's astounding. I have had lobster perogies, wild mushroom goat cheese perogies, and many more.
Work and more work and so much more work! It is snowing everywhere I need to go. Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to snow I mean work I go...
