What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Dr's again for ex-rays, finding out my problem, then errands, then home for the day doing some kitchen work.

I went food.shopping , need to do a phone shop. I did a Western Union merchandise job this morning.
Just the usual: a little progress on a lot of endless projects. I baked, rearranged the kitchen, made way for new furniture, and worked on a research project.

I hope everything is well with you, Irene....get rest!
I ddin't realize when I accepted a downtown bank shop for today that there was an afternoon Cardinals baseball game. That always makes parking terrible, so I'll count my walking to and from the bank as my exercise for the day.

Today I have a Merchandize job today same on. I have 1 stores to do this is , so they will not all got done today. I did some yesterday too. I will clean house a little and have my quite time. No big plans
Today is a little more fun than the usual. The tasks are less bad for the back, and there is time for... something fun. What should that be? Hike? Picnic in yon snow? Change of nail color? smiling smiley

Getting a Mani/Pedi today, need a perk up and taking care of oneself is a #1 priority. Working on my Niki report and other not so interesting chores...tonight is Survivor's final episode, so with a small Vodka/cranberry, I'm good to go....another day bites the dust....

One of my lunch walks takes me to the Nationals Stadium (baseball) in DC. I had the bright idea to do that walk on opening day. Going there was great because I was caught in the direction the massive crowd was going. The return was a different story.

New furniture arrives tomorrow. That completes some of the projects. Huzzah! After that, there are more projects, a holiday, an unspecified merch day, and a little celebration because the next smaller size of pants fits me-- as long as I do not need to breathe. So even that is going well. I have no idea what size I will wear during the late year/early year holiday sales, but at least I won't be this large at that time and can afford something cute and smaller. Happy Early Holidays to me. (I started at 26W pants and reached 16. Next is 14W or 14, depending upon the brand and the style. This is tmi and bragging. Very bad...)

Work some more on my Western Union Merchaize jobs. I need to do my quite time , and mop the kitchen floor. That is about it for today. Shop - et -al good job on the weith lost.
I'm in a penthouse suite. with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills at my destination. Just finished breakfast, off to test the pool butler service and later today, the bar and dinner. I hope to catch the basketball playoff game between all of the outlets.
I can totally see you swimming upstream through the crowd :-)

The bank I was going to was about five blocks from the stadium. As I expected parking was a nightmare...I ended up eight blocks away. However, I wore my Cardinals shirt and the game gave me a great excuse to be in the area.

Cardinals... in hell I mean the-way-too-hot part of the state... But Arizona is beautiful. Or, was it beautiful before more and more exquisite and lovely spaces were sacrificed for "development" and "progress"?

Obviously, I am not a fan of over-development. But that is just me. After all, the more development there is, the more mystery shops, audits, and merchandising tasks there may be.

But, no. I would rather see the open spaces. But that is just me.

You would be surprised at the wide range of "open spaces" L.A. has, so much unused land and mountains, we have from skiing to beaches and many canyons for hikers...have the best of everything (except freeways, 405).
My Mother made me laugh saying, if you've seen one tree, you've seen them all, but Sequoia Nat'l Park proves her wrong, amazing trees and open spaces. Today is errands, Doc gave me a pill and I feel better, energy back...thank G__ for a good Doctor. Monday actually driving freeway for a cosmetics job where I get to buy a 40.00 item...looking forward.

I'm glad that you are felling better now, Irene. smiling smiley

On the advice of another shopper, I went to the dollar store after work and before my shop, which started at 4pm. I have a plant clipping in a cup of water and it's growing. I want to pot it. I have the pot, but I need soil. The big box stores only have big bags. I found a small bag of potting soil at the dollar store. I also bought a desiccant for my humid car, a glittery Wet 'n' Wild nail polish, and some pens.

honny, I go there (.99) weekly and always end up spending more than I should. Beside getting a small bag of soil, I get my beautiful plants for my outdoor patio, they are nursery quality and bloom like mad. Great place for odds and ends,,,I also get Melatonin for .99, much more in stores and same brand...love that place.

Shop-et-al, you went from a 26W to a 16. You deserve to brag!

I don't deserve to brag, but it felt pretty good to say that. Anyway, today was fun. I went on a personal road trip today because some of my stores will be closed on Monday, the day I preferred to do my personal errands. For the first time in a long time, I felt like me. Just me. I had no assignments, reports, pics, apps, timings, restroom evals, associate descriptions, or report forms. The hubby chose the restaurant for late lunch, and we were allowed to order whatever we wanted to eat. In hopes of breathing in size 14, I ate in a weight-friendly way. It was delicious! So for the next few days I will stay at home, binge watch more of the X Files, jeer at the Consortium of Kooks (my name for the elegant, soft-spoken nut jobs who call themselves The Syndicate), and finish one or two projects. There are a few good assignments available. I might do one or two of them.

Going over to my sister's to swim in the pool and let someone else cook. Looking forward to it.
Did a bowling shop today, grocery shopping and then home. Feeling a bit bored and sad after my parents left yesterday. The past three weeks had been so much fun with them. Mum didn't let me cook or clean or for that matter do anything. Dad won't let me pay for anything. Being treated like a child at 36 feels nice sometimes, I admit. I wish I could go back in time, be a little girl and cling to mommy. Why do we have to grow up???
Staying at home, working on projects, and contemplating the meaning of life without mystery shopping. (The several-year anniversary of my first mystery shop is approaching, and I am considering that it should be the last anniversary.)

Today I'm doing a cosmetics job and then meeting my best friend for a lunch at our favorite place.....

Irene, the 99 Cents Only store was awesome! They sold mostly name brand items that were overstocked or discontinued. I bought wine there, a gazillion packets of a Sally Hansen facial mask, plants. The only item I had an issue with were the tomatillos I bought. I got an infestation of fruit flies.

I've been craving wings for a few weeks, so after work I went to Wingstop with the intention of getting a 6 piece combo for $10. I get there, and there was a promotional sign outside for boneless wings 10 for $6. I added my side of baked beans, and I have dinner for three days. YAY!

I spread it out over three days to control my portions.

I am counting how many outfits I can make with the clothes I have. This information will come in handy when I see some cute little thing that would look just a bit better. I have a numerical fact to throw between me and more clothes. "Ha! HahahahaAAAA! Take that, cute clothing!" Later, I will have money for smaller [hopefully cuter] clothes. But enough about that. I am loving the daily rainstorms. I could live like this forever. Just when I think it is too hot, it cools slightly. Wind blows, thunder growls, and rain falls. I feel better. My skin plumps slightly and I look a little fresher. Aaahhh, the joys of simple pleasures. grinning smiley
