Just For Fun: What's In Your Car?

My car is junked with various and sundry receipts, business cards, napkins, shoes, hangers, bank paperwork, lip gloss, eyeliner, cups, plastic utensils and gloves.

I just had mine detailed a few weeks ago, so I haven't "moved" back in all the way, LOL. In my trunk, I have a pair of jumper cables and I have a trunk organizer with my reusable grocery bags in it and some bungee cords. In my middle console I have readers, sunglasses, a small bottle of hand lotion, and pens. In my back seat I have a square collapsible box that I have a notebook, clipboard, more pens, and a few other odds and ends, plus a box of tissues. In the driver's side door I have a pump bottle of hand sanitizer and this little tool used to break out the car windows if the car is submerged into water and the electric windows can't be put down for escape. I have had that tool for 15 years and never had to use it, thank goodness. I don't think I will be needing my gloves to go back into the car anytime soon.
Baby wipes in a zip lock bag, bottles of water in the side pocket of every door, sugarless gum, granola bars, pepper spray, car registration & ins card, extra dog leash, packets of dog food samples, phone charger/cords, extra phone charger/cords, phone battery pack just in case, new socks (for homeless people), pens, straws, sun shade, big dog blankie, bungee cords, and they are for the most part hidden in the secret compartments, because I hate clutter.
Starbucks half finished coffee, sunglasses, pens, small notebook...in the trunk are my bags for grocery shopping and an umbrella as well as an extra jacket.

Live consciously....

Work supplies, sunscreen, necessary vehicle docs. We cleaned it out today; it looks like a car again.

In the trunk I have an emergency kit, an atlas, and a shovel. In the back seat area I have a box for recycling, a box of bottled water, a tote bag with wipes, tissues, snacks, etc., a jacket, and a safety vest. Up front with me I have Blistex, pens, antacids, a trash bag, a phone charger, and a Bible.
Spare tire, lift, emergency kit. Now on to the interesting stuff! Orbital sander and paper, about a half dozen plastic children's cups, a week's worth of elementary homework, and a bunch of random paperwork.
Well sanders and shovels in people's trunks...hmmm.

Edited to add that I know you aren't sanding off people's fingerprints and burying them in remote locales...sorry I couldn't help it!!!!

Right now, two chairs, a canopy, box of Kirkland protein bars, box of protein shakes, spare tire, sneakers, Chanel dress shoes (which are probably getting ruined in my car), sunglasses, too many receipt, chapstick, books, sweatshirt, blanket...there's more, that is what I can remember
Let's see....in the trunk there are jumper cables, 3 foldable outdoor canvas chairs that you fold into a cloth holder with a strap. Extra oil and antifreeze, hidden spare tire, small 2 step ladder. Back seat is pretty empty except I have a Bible in the backside pocket of the driver's seat. In the front just some CDs. In the glove compartment are necessary car papers, car charger, small pad and a pen. Oh, I keep a quarter in the unused ash tray, so I'm ready to shop at Aldi's if I need to.
Jumper cables, blanket, umbrella, re-usable shopping totes, sunglasses, gum, napkins, tissues, car manual, insurance card, straws, plastic utensils, phone charger, throw pillow, toolkit, flashlight with dead batteries.
I also have chargers, reusable bags, more shoes, change and wipes.

Raccoon. Yesterday, possum. Seriously. The population exploded and they've been messing with my fruits and vegetables too much. So I trap them, stick them in the trunk (still in the cage/trap) and take them for a ride. Let them out far from home, preferably on the other side of a bridge or two.
And, barbarian that I am, those plastic bags you're supposed to use for wet umbrellas. Because, you never know when you'll be on the road and hundreds of miles from restroom or any big city where there's no public restroom. I drink a lot of coffee.
It wouldn't have occurred to me that you would take them OUT of the cage, LOL. But your post made me envision a raccoon going BSC in your trunk while riding down the road! You might have another driver on the road call the cops thinking you had a person in there, hahahaaha!

When I lived in Florida and was a massage therapist, I used to have a folding massage table (zipped up inside a case with wheels), CD player and CDs, a case with sheets and lotions/oils, a bathing suit, and a suitcase with toiletries and clothes. I did a lot of outcalls as well as in-spa appointments, but on outcall days I used to go to the beach and swim in between appointments if I had time, then shower on the boardwalk and get dressed for my next appointment. Sigh. I miss those days.
I declare you the winner of the internet for today.

Water, first aid kit, lots of napkins, flashlight, map, makeup, pens, toothpicks, snacks
My Mom and Sister did the same living in FL. The raccoons were bothering the chickens. But my Sister began to question whether they were getting the same one back, so she stated spraying small patch of neon spray paint on their backs. The raccoons were NONE to happy over that!!

I know what is NOT in it.....a spare tire of any kind! Had a flat and no spare, no donut, no nothing! Had to be towed to a tire shop (thank heavens for insurance with towing)…… saving to buy a rim and tire for next time! LOL (KIA Soul, brand new 4 years ago)

I also have quarters and dollar bills in my ashtray and that other little drawer on the right hand side of the steering wheel.
Spray paint! Good idea! I put the whole have- a-heart trap in a thick plastic bag, open at one end for air. Sometimes there's poop in there, and lots of dirt. They're usually pretty calm on the ride. And real happy to get out. Except possums, they take a nap and have to be shaken out.

Lol, I was just wishing today that our meters WOULD still accept cash. With so many shop apps I have to "juggle" something anytime I want to park downtown.

In my van are:

General use: Jumper cables & tool kit (for car and merchandising)

Misc. Shopping stuff: Rolling file box, power inverter, extra USB cable, and a "burner" phone for emergencies and/or backup if I break my regular one.

Dollar store safety vest for add-on gas shops.

For routes: Campstove, blanket, travel pillow, $1 bottle of laundry soap (emergency loads while travelling), heavy duty aluminum foil (if you don't know why, Google the book "Manifold Destiny" ), a cutting board, cheap chef knife, small plastic salad plates, 2 sets of dollar store silverware, salt & pepper shakers, a saucepan, a small skillet, a cooking spoon, a spatula, instant coffee packets (yes I pretty much cook all of my non-shop meals on the road--I hate fast food)

For store resets (merchandising): Measuring tape, folding stepstool, and the aforementioned tool box

For demos: Folding table, tablecloth, ice bucket, tongs, vinyl gloves, and sample cups

Boxes of POP for this month's displays

Gorilla tape (better than electrical tape for video shopping)

Oh yes...and a ton of trash.
Ditto for me. Fortunately my flat was in the garage at home, but I had no way to remove the tire and go get it repaired. I spotted another Kia in my neighborhood and knocked on their door. I didn't know this nice lady, and I asked if she had a jack in her Kia, she didn't know, we looked and sure enough she did. I asked if i could borrow it for a few hours to take my tire to get it repaired. She said sure. HAHA. I took it home, DH removed the tire and I got it fixed. Returned the jack, along with a gift card to the grocery store, flowers and a heartfelt thank you card. Both our daughters thought we were nuts, being strangers and all. I got a jack kit off eBay, so at least I can now remove the tire and take it for repair.
Ohhh, for society to be the way it was, helping random strangers without hesitation.

I have a quite a bit of storage in my small carsmiling smiley My trunk just has a bin with my reusable shopping bags and some dog food from a shop to be donated to a shelter. Glove box has things I don't need to access often, car registration, insurance card, flashlight, a travel size first aid kit and serves as storage for all the other travel size necessities I collected from shops. A secret compartment near the steering wheel just has my emergency sunglasses. The two compartments I access the most are the console and a small one above the radio. Those house tissues, various chargers and cords, pens, stapler, travel umbrella, sunglasses cleaning kit, antibacterial wipes, Febreeze and Static Guard. It sounds like a lot, and it is, but my car is actually uncluttered. I never leave receipts, business cards or other shop collateral scattered around. I prefer always starting with a clean slate.
