It may also depend upon what 'they' are saying. I had to dig back in memory for this one (large chunks of the necessary classical education have been tossed from recent view by people who did not know what was important). Now, we are supposed to say amen and awoman in order to avoid the gender situation. The problem is, amen is a non-gendered Latin word for so be it. It. It, mind you. It!!!!!
