ACE going to PayQuicker

Hold on a minute. What is the connection between being professional and accepting new ideas? What many have balked at is not a new concept, we all use PayPal so the "concept" of online payment are very familiar. There has been a lack of available information on PayQuicker. A year from now they may replace PayPal as THE online payment company or they may be out out of business. Due diligence is not paranoia.

I do not and have never had a problem with you or other shoppers expressing concern over PayQuicker. If you have worries, that's your right. I had the same concerns in the beginning and I have tried to help allievate fears the best I could based on MY experience (e.g.: proof of my payments). Nor have I gotten snippy with shoppers who have shown concern in a respectful manner. I've worked with a few shoppers who posted concern here in a friendly manner, off the board. A couple of them have done work since the PayQuicker issue arose.

What I have a problem with is you throwing out wild accusations that have NO basis in fact, especially when other shoppers don't realize you're being sarcastic and snarky. Have you ever done a shop for ACE? Did you get the PayQuicker notification? Is that why you're so hostile? Why the dramatics? Are you able to discuss your concerns in a FACTUAL, professional manner?

Julie and Tiffany are good people with easy reports who pay their shoppers/schedulers/editors fairly and quickly. They are too nice to play games. It's why they've had so many working with them for years. It's why I and another editor came back to work for them when our situations allowed a return. So yes, I'm loyal, especially against INACCURATE attacks.

Edited for typo.

OK all I am saying is that I shop for ACE and received my pay on time from payquicker. End of story just reporting.
Thanks for reporting your experience, cynb. This is exactly what I want to hear, experiences from independent contractors like myself who do not work for ACE in some other capacity.

vlade5394 expressed my concern accurately:

"Anyone have impartial reviews of payquicker?
How about from a source like these,
wallstreetjournal.com, yahoo.com, pcworld.com, abcnews.com, nytimes.com.
It's strange, but I haven't been able to find a review or article from a source like this. Make me wonder about the legitimacy of this new company."

Virtually the only information posted about PayQuicker is information posted by the company itself. I researched the bank PayQuicker does business through and was unimpressed. (That's where anakin's Kardashian comment comes from - anakin has obviously researched the bank and found the bank's business association with the Kardashian Kard.) When I see fewer emotional arguments from ACE employees and more good reports like the one cynb posted and a few more impartial reviews I might give some consideration to PayQuicker.
Hello All!

Steve here from PayQuicker.

If a US based regional bank that has been in business since the 1860's doesn't impress you, not sure what would. They are no less regulated than the largest bank you can think of who is doing business in the US, and no less secure or insured as that large bank as well.

Thanks,

Steve

are we talking about the same bank? My research shows the bank was established July 17, 1962 not 1860's.

Is this the same bank who had Kardashian cards?
Hi anakin,

That's right, 1962 as they are currently structured. Sorry, I don't know a Kardashin card.

Thanks for checking them out (University National Bank); But it seems like neither their "establish date" nor the Kardashin card are where your real concerns lie. Can we have a phone conversation about what that might be?

Thanks

Steve

Lots of chatter, but no answer to my question, so I'll try again.

Is there any independent review, article, etc. of payquicker from a reputable source such as nytimes.com, bankrate.com, etc.???? Steve from payquicker, this one's for you!

I'll give it 24 hours. If this thread and other sources don't produce independent information by which to evaluate this company, I will give up on payquicker as a viable option.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Nobody has heard of this company, and there's precious little on the net about them. I see that there are six employees on LinkedIn, the company page there says they have 1-10 employees. What is it about PayQuicker that is so much better than PayPal that makes PayQuicker "the superior global payment platform online today! Built to better execute your personal and E-business payables and receivables"?

All my posts have been factual. I have not exaggerated or lied or taken to dramatics to entice an emotional reaction out of others or mislead them into having a different opinion. Like you, I am an IC, not an employee. The biggest difference is I have more of an opportunity of work available to me than you do and a better understanding of the people behind the scenes. I still had to accept PayQuicker if I wanted to work with ACE. They are as new to me as they are to you. I chose to give it a chance. Obviously, you have the right not to.

I have repeatedly offered screen shots of my PayQuicker account and my bank account as impartial evidence of the transactions because I UNDERSTAND the concerns. Not a single person who has complained about distrusting the legitimacy of PayQuicker has contacted me to take me up on that offer. I've tried to help ease some of the concern but I'm met with condescension. Liking the company I do business with doesn't equate to being emotional or discredit my experience with PayQuicker, with whom I have no affiliation. You do it every day when choosing which MS companies you will work with. Why should I be held to a different standard?
Angie, I for one don't doubt your sincerity and don't feel you've put forth an emotionally charged argument. In fact, when I was reading this earlier I thought it might be time to just create a thread on PayQuicker separate from postings regarding ACE.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Thank you, Lisa. I appreciate it. Whether someone chooses to use PayQuicker or not doesn't matter to me. I've offered my experience and kept the facts about ACE accurate. The latter is what's important to me.
After much hesitation and after having discussions with ACE, Steve at PayQuicker, University National Bank and my significant other, I decided to sign up. I still had shops to be paid under the "old" ICA but when I got my payment notice from PayQuicker on Monday, I created an account in less than 5 minutes. The only information asked for in addition to what MSCs ask for was my driver's license number. After I confirmed the account via the email link, I went in and requested my money be transferred to my bank account. Tuesday morning when I checked, the money was there. All of the signing up, confirming, tranferring and checking took at most 10 minutes.
Yes, this is a new company, but competition is good for businesses, so perhaps they will one day rival PayPal. If they are not successful, one would hope that ACE or any other company that uses them, has a plan in place so shoppers are not out money. It still think the whole switch could have been handled better, but it is what it is.
Overall, so far so good. I will have at least one shop to be paid next month and hopefully it will go through just as smoothly.
Kris: I don't think any one is questioning the ease and speed by which payquicker pays.

For many it is just an extra (two) places where you 'expose' yourself with your personal information. None of these two places have a stellar or proven track record.

If I was making several hundred dollars a month from ACE the exposure might be worth it. However, if I am only going to work one or two shops a month, the risk outweighs the rewards.

Also, it makes some people more suspicious the sneaky way ACE rolled out pay quicker. Yes, they are offering payment by check. However, if one reads the entire thread it would appear that initially they were rather angry at shoppers who were demanding paper checks.

I chuckle when some one offers to send screen shots of this or that. It is too simplistic or rather child like way of understanding the resistance.

Any company has the right to change their means of payment and any shopper has the right to decide if they wish to continue working with the company under the offered terms. Most companies tend to make it easier for shoppers to receive payment by using direct deposit or Paypal, though some shoppers object to those methods. Some companies have decided to pay with gift cards.

When I am considering work with a company I take these things into consideration along with their overall fee structure and their payment cycle. It is all part of my business decisions. My personal business decisions are, for example, not to accept gift cards as payment. My personal business decision is that there are a couple of shops with a company that takes 3 months to pay that are worthwhile for me to perform, but not other shops. My personal business decision is that I don't need to make my finances even screwier by adding still more methods of payment unless the fee structure and job availability totally warrants it. With occasional $15 shops in my area, ACE does not fit the criteria of justifying an additional payment method. So whether it works beautifully or not is a matter of total irrelevance.
Ok so do not work for them. I have no problem. I was paid by PayQuicker on time. Why all the drama?
Flash, I understand where you are coming from. My husband and I do a shop for ACE that provides us with a night out that is fully reimbursed. There are several locations in my area, so we can go out "free" 3 or 4 times a month, just through ACE. That's why I did it.
One has to sign up with so many companies anyway I figured what's one more that has my info. If anything that shouldn't happen, happens - I will deal with it then. I tend to not worry about the "what might happen" and deal with the "what has happened". Others operate differently but that's ok - it's what keeps us interesting smiling smiley
I'M A MONTH LATE BUT THIS IS SO INTERESTING. IT'S ALMOST BETTER THAN GOING TO THE PAY QUICKER SITE. CERTAINLY MORE INTERACTIVE. AS FOR ACE I WAS LOOKING TO SIGN UP WITH THEM SOON BUT NOW I HAVE MORE TO LOOK AT CONCERNING THIS.

IF one reads the earlier posts, Tiffany posted those "angry" emails to shoppers so we could read them. She apologized for any misunderstanding and said they were rushed, not angry, as she is in charge of the entire accounting side of ACE and, therefore, busy around payday, especially with a new system. Understandable or not?

There is nothing simplistic or child-like in my understanding of you. I get it. More than you comprehend. You have every right to want to protect your personal information online. However, if your concern is as severe as it seems, mystery shopping might not be the best fit for you as it requires you to give vulnerable, personal information to 50 companies (at minimum) if you want to make any real money at it. I would NEVER begrudge your concerns over PayQuicker, just your snarky, inaccurate dramatics about ACE because you resent the changes. I've written my issue repeatedly: Let's stick with the FACTS. That's not asking for much.

I truly am sorry the changes have caused such an extreme reaction with you but ACE does not need our approval to make the changes. They did what they did because it was in the best interest of their company (thus, indirectly, their shoppers). As ICs, we have two options: accept it or not. Since you have chosen not to accept PayQuicker, you can PM me your user ID information and I can deactivate you from their system, if you have not done so already. Perhaps that will finally give you the satisfaction that nothing else I've offered so far has given?
I wanted to let everyone know that we have released our new website last month and included our payment process for everyone to view.

Here is our ACE Mystery Shopping payment link:

[acemysteryshopping.com]

As shoppers asked questions and expressed their concerns we used those situations to create informational material to help inform others of similar solutions. We created informational pages that were easily accessed when shoppers were logged into our ACE shopper site. We also emailed the same information for those who emailed requesting more information. We have been accommodating to shoppers who decided to not participate with receiving their payments through PayQuicker and made sure their pay statements were paid. Thankfully, most of those shoppers do understand future payments for shops they apply for will be processed through PayQuicker. Only a small amount of shoppers have opted out from shopping with us.

PayQuicker has been great assisting our shoppers, helping us come up with solutions for shopper situations, and have gone over and above to help everyone involved.

Overall, this has been a pleasant experience for shoppers receiving their payments much QUICKER than ever before. With the volume of shoppers that we pay each month, dissatisfied shoppers are less than 1%. I sincerely wish that was 0% but I realize I can not please all people all the time. I also know that most of us do not like change. I wish we had the option of always paying shoppers from the beginning, 10 years ago, through PayQuicker.

We sincerely hope that each of you understand we did not switch our payment platform to throw a kink into your plans of shopping with us. We miss those that have decided to not continue shopping with ACE due to our payment change but respect your choices.

ACE Mystery Shopping wishes everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Sincerely,

With all this hype of a new payment method, I still do not see anyone making any drastic complaint with PayQuicker. Sure, there is a little more "paperwork" on our part.
I think I read somewhere that a transfer of funds only took a day as opposed to PayPal often taking 3 to 5 days.
I believe as long as I am paid in a timely manner is one of the most important factors. I also see this "Steve" has offered his services in resolving any issues.
So, bottom line, is there anyone out there who has a big legitimate complaint?
I did my first shop with ACE in January. Then I got the email from PAYQUICKER. They wanted my address, phone, birthdate, SSN and driver's license number. That's everything one needs for identity theft.

WHOA! What's that about? Other MSC's use direct deposit, PayPal or checks by mail.

I guess I'm out the $15 they owe me. No thanks, Pay Quicker.

Goodbye ACE.
I'm going to chime in here. When I first learned that I was going to be paid via PayQuicker I was NOT happy. I was not comfortable with it, especially since my ICA indicated I would be paid via check. However, I gave it a chance and I was pleasantly surprised. My money has always arrived promptly on the 15th of each month. I had no trouble using it. So far, so good. smiling smiley
RE: Samwise - Please visit our website and view our shopper payment page. Specially, in the middle of the page: Why is ACE paying shoppers through PayQuicker instead of PayPal or issuing their own paper checks and direct deposit?

We have been paying shoppers through PayQuicker since August of 2011 with great success. All shoppers had to renew their IC agreement PRIOR to applying for any mystery shops. I'm not sure if you missed the payment section of that agreement or maybe didn't understand. Visit our shopper page and you will see why PayQuicker requires your personal information. Please email our Accounting Department with any additional questions.

I just wanted to report on our success at transitioning our payment processing to PayQuicker. Thanks to all of you who made the transition smooth.

We are super excited to announce that they have now added a FREE debit card! They have listened to what we all want and are giving it to us! You can use the card for free as long as you run it as credit (sign for the transaction). There are no monthly maintenance fees. Now you can have a special Mystery Shopping debit card that you can track your expenses on or treat it as "fun' money. This eliminates the need to link your bank and you can access your funds instantly!

Now that we are in full swing with PayQuicker, I think our industry would benefit from hearing about the benefits realized by our shoppers, and what our shoppers have told us:

They like the option of transferring funds to their own bank for free, and the flexibility to request paper checks for themselves or others. Shoppers can also send free instant payments to others in over 175 countries

They truly appreciate the security and flexibility of the FDIC insured accounts provided by PayQuicker’s issuing bank. PayQuicker’s all American support based in Rochester, NY has been a big help

We would be pleased to answer more questions about our PayQuicker experiences, or better yet, call them directly at 866-400-2712.

Thanks!

What a crock! Many of your (former) shoppers have stated time and time again that they DO NOT like that you have switched to PayQuicker. And that you did this without notification is heinous. What kind of kick back do you get for this blatant advertising?
No offense, but if your shoppers are satisfied then there really is no need to try to convince the rest of us. If it works out that you are in a spot and are having trouble recruiting shoppers because of your payment method then you may want to revisit your policy.

I still don't see any benefits that are different than PayPal. I transfer funds from PayPal to my bank all the time for free, I can send payments to people and while I don't know for sure about the paper check I also don't know when I'd find myself with that need since I have my own checks. The two things that matter to me are that PayQuicker is new and not as well-established and that only once MSC is using that service and excluding any other payment options. If their is some type of MSC mass exodus from PayPal to PayQuicker I will revisit the idea.

LisaSTL - I do not find your disagreement offensive; however, to assume that our shoppers are not satisfied would be a stretch. The few that are commenting here with negative feedback do not reflect the thousands of HAPPY shoppers instantly transferring their payment within minutes of their payment being posted to PayQuicker.

We don't need to "convince" you. We do enjoy sharing the ease and success of what you are standing against.

As for some new updates to the great benefits of paying through PayQuicker:

PayQuicker is finding new ways to benefit our shoppers. They have lowered some of their fees and are now offering a FREE debit card! Here are some of the details:

• No fee for issuing the debit card
• No monthly maintenance fee
• You can move funds from your PayQuicker account to your card for free, no matter the amount moved
• No fees for Point of Sale purchases as “Credit” with signature!
• Small .59 cent fee for Point of Sale purchases with your PIN (Tell the clerk to run it as credit and there is NO fee!)
• Small $1.95 fee if you withdraw cash from the ATM. This is a great savings compared to other pre-paid debit cards. (ATM’s may charge their own additional fees so be aware of that)
• Cards are reloadable with the ability to move funds on and off the card at your discretion.

ACE pays the fees for transferring shopper payments into their personal bank account (direct deposit) and it's free to link their PayQuicker account to their PayPal account.

I totally understand that you don't want to shop for us because we have found an amazing payment company to get our shoppers paid easier, quicker, and more efficiently, while offering each one of our shoppers FDIC protection of their money. PayPal will not work with other companies to accommodate their industry needs like PayQuicker has with us. PayPal also does NOT offer stateside, AMERICAN, and friendly speaking customer service help like PAYQUICKER DOES!!!

When we were a small company I paid shoppers through PayPal. So, I can honestly say that I have been there, done that, and do NOT wish to go back! Try sitting on the phone for hours with PayPal as they transfer your call from country to country until you receive someone who could actually answer your question. If you have not experienced that, it may be because you are not paying several individuals at the same time.

Julie and I have been contacted by several Mystery Shopping Companies inquiring about our success with PayQuicker. They have shared the same frustrations with fraudulent shoppers, too many paper trails with paper checks, internal direct deposit, and especially problems with PayPal. Shortly, there will be more MSC's that will be using PayQuicker. ACE enjoys being able to lead the way with great innovated ways to improve our industry as a whole. Many changes that PayQuicker and ACE have made were based on some of the comments made by shoppers on this site. A big thank you for that!

You can disagree with our choices all day long but the fact still remains that we have made this move and it is more beneficial to our shoppers. They deserve the best quality as do our clients and PAYQUICKER is helping us deliver that to them.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Stewart, CEO/CFO
