what are your favorite top ten mystery shopping companies in order of preference?

I have done this. I went to MSPA website and I did a search to see which companies were shopping in my area. And I got a few good leads.

Houston, Tx
is where I'm searching. I wish I could find better shops out here. CoRI does a good job and MarkeForce and also I like Measure CP... pays well, and fairly easy.

Hi, eternitybc, welcome to the forum. The best way to find shops in your area is to keep signing up with companies. Many of us here are registered with 100-200 companies. JobSlinger and MSPA are a good way to go since they will show you which companies have shops in your area even though the shops will likely be gone before you can apply for them, but then you can apply with those companies. Besides the usual big companies who seem to have jobs everywhere that I'm sure were the first you signed up with - Market Force, CORI, etc. - most of us who do not live and work in the Seattle/Vancouver area don't necessarily know which companies have the shops there. People living and working in Seattle and Vancouver would most likely know but may be reluctant to share the results of their research with you because you are their competition.
My list is kind of "different"

1. Jancyn
2. Ath
3. corporate res - ONLY when the jobs are highly bonused and can't stand that they don't accept firefox and find "some" of their help line people to be HORRID.
4. gamefilm ONLY when they bonus the meal enough to cover the cost.
5. graymark--but not much work in my area
6. BARE

the rest are more like "stragglers", when I see a good deal and a good price I take.

I wish jancyn had more in my area....NICE people to work for and pay ALWAYS on time.
CRI CORI come on try doing a gas station taking pictures of 22 gas pumps from top to bottom pump gas get a form signed and make a purchase and look around the store sounds like a $50.00 job right? Did I mention downloading 35 pictures each job? And they pay how much? And did I tell you about their "Home improvement jobs ? I go into a store in the middle of no where and there is only 5 people in the store ... But they say you have to have 6 or 7 interactions? Hello? from where?.

THEY ARE A RIP OFF
jleetw1 - I agree, I don't think I would be doing that job. But they paid me $41.00 plus $8.00 reimbursement to do a job just barely off the highway in a city I was passing through anyway. And they always pay, and they let me know quickly my job was accepted. Not very many jobs are available where I live, I probably would do the one you described if it came up. =(
Prince... for $6.00? Your kidding ? I live in a rural area as well do about 10 a day do reports while I take short breaks. I always look at a job and say.. Is there anything in this for me?
Guess I need to sign up for a lot more more mysteryshopping companies to find ones with shops in my part of Alberta. I've never seen 10 in one day in reasonable close proximity to each other.
Eternity,

I am currently signed up for over 150 companies and have actually worked for 47 of them. My top three favorite shops are all for locations that the company only had for a limited time. I really think that they just hired them to do a shop or two just to get a look. Those shops came after being signed up with the company for over a year with nothing in my area. You just never know when a great shop will happen.
CORI is a love it or hate it company. I wish their website were easier to use, but I will admit that I love them.
Ardent, Marketforce, Service Check, Second To None, DSG&A, DJC, BES, Bare Inter, AboutFace, and Confero
I love doing these gas stations. Because everyone hates them they go for between $20-$40 in my area.

I also have an automated program that edits the photos in a batch.

Probably 45 mins work in the gas station and another 30 mins admin time.

I have no problem accepting $30-$40 for 1.25 hours work.

I really like the gas stations also. Once you get it down pat, they really only take a few minutes. I have a system worked out and I can do the job quickly. I wait till the pay is right. I also google the gas station to see how many pumps and that lets me know if I need to wait until the commission is higher. CORI really has easy reports. I also like the Home Improvement jobs. The first time I did the job, it did take me about an hour. After that, I've learned how not to walk my feet off. I love these jobs. The report is very very easy.
jleetw1, since this thread is about shopper's favorite companies my only question is, do you like any companies?
