Anyone changed CoRI payment?

This is in no way a complaint against CoRI. Just blowing off some steam, and hopefully anyone else in the same boat will understand whats going on.

Arrggh. Thats all I can say. After I decided to get back into mystery shopping, after a lapse, I thought it best to change my CoRI payment from PayPal to Direct Deposit. So.. I did. Just a few days before the first pay cycle was scheduled to hit. I figured worst case scenario, a week or so delay on payment. No big deal.

And im waiting... and waiting, for the SteriCycle Banking System to get around to approving my bank. Now, im patient. But I currently am owed for 25 jobs dating as far back to November 30th, all the way to the current. All shops bonused, so we are talking a house payment or two.

Last night I sent a polite email asking if someone would enlighten me as to the problem. They responded back this early A.M. with an apology. Essentially its a SteriCycle issue. That its out of their hands. They did give me some dates as to when I might expect a payment. But that date won't be until the end of the first week of January. They did apologize repeatedly.

Once again im not complaining per say, but in this day of technology, you would think things would go a hair faster. I fully trust CoRI, have never ever had an issue (except for one that was my own fault).

So, for anyone else out there that is wondering whats going on... there you have it.

I understand you dissatisfaction. I sympathize why you. I had a $5000 tax refund check direct deposited to a debit card. The company (Accountnow) decided to close thousands of accounts 2 days before the funds were to be available. They didn't release any information until we were not able to access our funds on the scheduled day of availability. The customer service rep actually asked if I wanted to opened a new account even though they had closed my current account which was in good standing. It took 4 weeks for me to get my money. It took 3 weeks for the IRS to confirm that the company had refused my direct deposit and another week to reissue.
Actually I went through a very similar situation as I recently changed bank accounts and had to update my account info with CoRI. I think I had to wait an extra 2 weeks(less than 30 days total) to get my new account set up in their system and get paid. I got several e-mails during the process stating what was going on and why it was taking longer than usual. I have no complaints how CoRI handled this and I feel assured that my future payments will not be delayed.

No... they do offer PayPal. Matter of fact, If I go to their site, click my profile, then click on payment options, there it is. Either Direct Deposit or PayPal.

Oh.. as an update, im still waiting :0(
I changed from PayPal back to direct deposit last summer. It took about three weeks to get it changed over. I can't remember if this was before SteriCycle took over. I got tired of them taking the fee out. Also, with DD the payment goes in early Friday morning and with Paypal it might be afternoon before it is posted. It probably won't be long now before your money comes in.
I had a strange e-mail notifying me of a deposit this week. I'm wondering if Stericycle is verifying the accounts because it's only for $3. I haven't worked for them in well over a month and cannot find any instance of them shorting me on pay or reimbursement. I also can't say I understand the necessity since they've paid me to the same bank account for almost 4 years.

I didn't get an email about it, but I got an extra $3.00 on a shop I got paid for this week. I did a survey a while back they said would pay $3 and I thought this was that money.
Thanks. Mine is probably for the same thing.

My money is not in the bank this morning, although it says on the site it has been sent to my savings account. First time this ever happened since I've had DD.

As for switching DD acct., I went through the same thing recently, it took a good 3 weeks.

As for today's payment, it hasn't shown up in my account. It also doesn't show as pending at my bank, which is odd. Apparently there are quite a few of us still waiting for todays DD.
I went online to my account this morning and was shocked that my $675 deposit was not in my bank, So rude, just before Christmas. I can hardly believe they could do such a thing.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that we all had to re-sign the ICA last week. The new ICA stated they now had as long as 30 days to pay us.
WOW!! How many shops did you complete? yawning smiley)

Shouldn't matter about the new ICA if you get a notice saying to expect your money and when, and then it doesn't show up.
Hope they are more dependable than that, but they sure blew my Christmas!!
Laura, I did 27 shops. They were all bonused. I live in an area that is not heavily populated. I was just reading another thread about this, and the person who said this also happened last year mentioned that CORI did not make good on the money until the next Friday. I am livid. I know those schedulers are going to have serious attitude on Tuesday. Sometimes they are just so mean. That was my Christmas money.
Oh no... yawning smiley(
This is not good news, I was hoping to see an update saying we'd get our pay
tomorrow yawning smiley( I'm $2 over-drawn...looks like the bank will be making a fee off of me - this really bites!

Thank you for the update, even though I was hoping for better news. Any news is better than NO news. It's just awful that CoRI states "paid/completed" when it's nowhere even close. yawning smiley(

{{Hugs}} Here's to a better & more prosperous new year...

Please don't take this the wrong way. I don't care who's paying you these days, it is not worth it to make plans, pay bills, etc. until you have the money in hand. Back when I only had one paycheck to worry about I would often put a check in the mail or set up an online payment for the day my check was due for direct deposit. That worked, because even if there was an issue, when you are an employee most companies will make it right immediately. As far as companies are concerned, an IC is a vendor, not an employee. Although the reality is many people live hand to mouth these days, the MSC expects us as business owners to be able to deal with a delay in payment.

Now I limit myself to reliable companies, but even those will have something happen on occasion. Either a job didn't get put on the week (or month) I was expecting or they have a problem with the mass payments or a receipt and/or invoice gets lost. It always gets straightened out, but most of the time they make the correction on the next regularly scheduled pay date even if that means you have to wait another month. To make matters worse, problems and late payments are most likely to occur during the holiday seasonsad smiley
