CORi Payment Today?

I did not get my payment either. I don't remember this ever happening since I started working for them 2 years ago. Perhaps it has something to do with the new company and/or the new contract that we had to sign last week.

I had already signed a contract with the new company, but then another message came up last week where I had to sign it again before I could do any more shops. When I looked closely at it, the new contract stated that the promise to pay was within 30 days after completing each shop. I signed it anyway, but maybe I should have waited until after Christmas.

I also noticed an error message on my pay detail report relating to a "Lowes" shop. That might have had something to do with it.. Anyway, this is unlike Corporate Research, so I hope that everything will return to normal on Tuesday.

...and, apparently, the computers get a few extra days off 'cuz my bank was open on Friday and Saturday, yet no sign of a pending payment.

From what I've heard, this happened the same way last year - a new trend?

What makes it worse is that I just received an email that my next payment is pending direct deposit...:p

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I'm sorry, but this whole thing is a crock. I just spoke to my bank and they said if it was an error with the bank, the transaction should have gone through this morning. I am wondering how long this process to fix the problem will take. This is the same excuse I was given the last time I was not paid before Christmas. I called several banks on Friday and none of the banks were closed for the holiday. I only did that after my bank stated they did not know any banks that were not working that day. I also know the editors were paid because I have a friend that edits for CRI. They receive direct deposit and the money for her got through. I'm sorry...I am just tired of this whole thing and the sorry excuses.

Nothing yet...I saw the message on the website about a "banking delay".

I hope that they are not having financial trouble. They don't pay much, but they are usually reliable and easy to work with.
I just got off the telephone with my bank again and still nothing pending. The representative asked if I was sure the company had the money to pay.......I found that troubling. I'm sure they do, but the representative said even with bank problems it should have come through today. I really hope this is resolved soon to ease my mind and everyone's mind. I just got a little freaked out when the bank questioned the ability of the company to pay.

I wouldn't worry about what your bank said. The banking delays are more than likely the company not bothering to get the payments processed in time.

I'm gonna trust that too as its never happened to me with them before. I sure wish I knew what ASAP was!
At about this time of year I remind myself that just as I do year end tax planning, so do most businesses. Remember that CORI 'teamed' with Stericycle this year and my guess is that one company bought/was bought by the other. That expense may have them wanting to postpone other expenses until after 1/1/12--minor things like shop fees. It would not surprise me significantly for them to not pay before 1/2/12. I am sort of expecting the same behavior from Service Intelligence which is now answering the phone as "In Touch". Their pay date is supposed to be the last business day of the month . . .

It is also odd that none of the schedulers are answering emails. I suppose it could be from taking 4 days off...just very busy. I certainly hope the pay won't be held up until after the 1st.
It has been brought to our attention that there was a problem with the scheduled payments for 12/23/11.

We have determined that this was a bank issue due to the holiday and we are currently working on the problem. Your payments will be deposited to your accounts this week.

We hope to have more detailed answers to your questions as soon as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,
Corporate Research International
That sounds better than "as soon possible"... ("payments will be deposited to your accounts this week"winking smiley but, where did you see this? I don't see anything on the website?

I am wondering if this will also delay our 12/30 payments.

I didn't get that email, but sometimes I don't get the "Auditor Payment Processed" emails, but I still get paid.

I hope that I get paid this week. I am not concerned so much about having had it for Xmas, but now I am concerned about getting it before the beginning of the month (when bills are usually due). I am also concerned about the future of the company since I read on another forum that a shopper tried chatting with the company and got disconnected when she asked for a specific date.

I think it is unfair to judge Corporate Research on this very rare occurrence. I am just worrying and venting a little personally. I kind of think that it is in poor taste to post this kind of thing on their Facebook page. Especially, since the company is usually always on time and easy to work with.....(sigh)
I agree. Considering the Stericycle merger/buy out, whatever, occurred some months back it seems the reports of CoRI's death are greatly exaggeratedsmiling smiley

The payment is finally here. The payment came from Stericycle, but at least it finally came.
I give CORi great credit. The first day they came back to work, they acknowledged there was a problem, and since they cant post direct deposit the same day, they made sure we got it the following day. They emailed the shoppers an email, apologizing, and saying it would be fixed. I dont think they hid from the issue, because they werent there over the weekend. Sure, it was supposed to go on Friday, but, give them credit, they did make it right, within 24 hours, of returning to work. Thats life. We are all paid, and its all fixed. Just hope this Fridays payment is on time, because thats the one I've been looking forward to.
Yay--my payment came in. Actually, I was up at about 2am and saw that it was already in my bank. smiling smiley
This is good news! considering the switch I guess its understandable that one would be a little delayed. Lets see how this weeks goes. Im betting on it going smoothly and all will be back on schedule.

Yep, mine was there also. Just read Stericycle and not Corporate Research, which made me do a double take.

I finally got paid on Thursday, lets see if we get paid today as well. Nothing in my account yet. I usually see something around 7am to about 8am. Since this company got bought out, by the other company nothing but issues. I had to change the date to do some stores down in NJ, and all I got was a snotty attuded. The gas pedal got stuck, and even sent them the police report. I got a witchy lady. If we could grade our own company, on the payroll issues, for them not having someone there for that, I give them an F. Let me tell you, I didnt have any food in the fridge, never mind holiday shopping, but food. I was looking at that paycheck to make sure my pets were taken care of too. But they put me in a bad spot.
Do you think we will get paid today in fact. LOL. I think its poor business. Did you see who paid us this week because of the issue. I find it poor business, no one was at the office to fix this. They all get there chairs, grade our stuff, and make more than us. Not one person was at the office even for pay day, and that day all together. Heck, I bet all the emails that got sent would have spoked them. It happened once before when I was living in MD a few years back, and they said they fixed the issue, this time around the bank because of the holiday, Please. Someone in the office screwed up. If we screwed up on the paper work, we get holey hell from them.

I almost reported them to the BBB, because of lack of response, and the lack of business.
Wow, I'm not really sure why you would consider reporting them to the BBB because payments got screwed up twice in "several years," for not responding immediately when the office was closed for a holiday and for "lack of business" whatever that means. Crappy timing for an error like this, absolutely. Did they return to work on Tuesday and deal with it immediately, absolutely. I don't really think that Stericycle paid this week because of the issue. It's more likely the changeover contributed to the issue.

I also don't know why you accuse them of giving us holy hell and claim the schedulers make so much more than us. CORI is one of the most forgiving companies out there and it would be interesting to hear from anyone who's report has been graded less than a 5smiling smiley Their schedulers work pretty dang hard and as their ranks have been thinned each has had to take on more responsibility. I've had an issue with a particular scheduler once or twice in 4 years with over 600 jobs. It's normal. The company has actually tied their hands regarding a lot of things such as bonuses and scheduling. They have regular business hours and I have always been able to reach someone who could help me during those hours. I cannot say that about every company.

Lso, I hope you don't submit your reports with that grammar and spelling. It was a badly timed error and taken care of ASAP. And the bbb doesn't get involved for an issue like this.
My payments came in at 1am via DD. Never was worried with CORI. They've had a good track record with me for 5 years running.
