OMG!!! Did Cori/Steri lose ANOTHER client?

I was just on the site of the company that took Cori's big gas client, and in the last 20 minutes, about 50 shops popped up for the big DIY client, with the same scenarios and same $1 reimbursement. WTF is going on over there?

$12? No thanks! So far this month I've averaged just under $34 a shop for this client with the old MSC. :/

They showed up on mine too but the yellow station ones disappeared.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw a whole bunch pop up on the other site too. Pay I pretty low though...
If they're on both sites, what does that mean? That the client is doing comparison-shopping of the two MSCs? Or something else?
None on my Cori board for January. Still some with a B for December. Do y'all still have the yellow stations? Mine are gone goodbye so long.

I'm not sure what the yellow stations are? I have both red/white/blue ones and the red ones on mine.

Yes, plenty of yellow stations here. Most are night shops in my traveling area, so I've not taken any this time...yet. Could they all have been taken and that's why you're not seeing any?

OK, then, you Texas shoppers, are your yellow stations gone?

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
No, most of mine were night shops, too. They're just gone. They were there earlier today, dozens and dozens. Another glitch in the system. I had been missing the blue and white/black and red stations for a year and got that straightened out this week and got them back on the site. Now the yellows are gone. I'm not seeing the teal duck either but it may not be time for that bunch to fly over. Oh well, nobuddies purrfick.

Pay is kinda low, but you can schedule a month out, so I'm guessing they will go pretty quick. One of the reasons they sat on the Cori site so long is because of the 3 day scheduling window, and all the other reasons that we couldn't schedule.

Mary, I just checked and they're still there right now. However, I had to go in the back door (Advanced search) to find them. The site timed out before anything showed up. Eww, and with another huge client I can only imagine how slow their site will be.

Well, that went fast. All of the shops got picked up in my area already. There is still one dangling out there from about 50 miles away, but they all got snatched up fast!

You've got to be kidding...for $12. I only just recently took the test to be able to do them, and still haven't done one (previous MSC) because I was waiting to grab a large fee. At that time, no dates were available and next time I checked they were all gone. The average was about $30 with some $40 and some higher. Geesh, I wouldn't consider all that rigamaroll for $12.

I hope (EDITED) is planning on upgrading their website. And that they will start communicating differently and come into the era of emails. All I ever got from (EDITED) was phone calls. So today's email was welcome and hopefully what is to come in the future.
:wonders how long it's gonna take for mrcomputer to pop in and tell us all how much more we'll be making with the new company:

I still have mine up here in PA. Both day and night shops area available.
Being relatively new to this (just under a year now) I do not know what yellow stations are. I have an idea, but I never assume anything in this business winking smiley

Your wait is over! Lets see. The old company started @ $4.00 - New one $12. Bonus money will be available for the leftovers. Old company 3 day window - New company 1 week? ( Gotta double check that).
Old company, rotation, rotation, rotation. - New company, you can do the same location after 9 days.

Tell the truth, what's not to like?...winking smiley

I hate to interrupt here but...

New company. You can only shop same location 2 times in a month. At least 6 days apart. The shops are set up in small windows for shopping. 1-3rd, 13-15th, 25-27th, and like that. Not a week, which is what I was hoping when I assigned some.

But I am happy with the new company, one of my favs. The new company fee was my minimum with the old company, so I am happy to pick them up. I have scheduled 6. Nice to be able to schedule them in advance, not on a whim.

Starting fee and the fee I did them at are not comparable. My average fee last year was just over $24 per, average fee this year is just under $34. I have never seen or been offered anything from this company above the price on the board and I doubt SERIOUSLY that they give anybody enough to bring their average for that shop up to $34 each. I'd rather work smarter not harder. So lets say you get to do all 5 of them at the same location for $12 each. Woohoo, you did 2 1/2 times the work for the same amount of money as I averaged with the old company. And rotations weren't a big deal. I once got an offer to do 3 scenarios in a row at 1 location and 2 in a row at 2 other locations all for $50 a pop.

As for your comment. I thought personal insults weren't allowed on this board, or is that only for other people? Seems I remember you getting all over me for one when I first started posting here.

$12.00 is the new reality. No need to take them if you can do better with the same time elsewhere and you can book yourself up. I'm not thrilled but I'm not depressed either because I don't see many other possibilities and $12.00 per is better than a kick in the head. I finished up a route Sunday and I said I'd probably never work again but I'm already getting itchy. The rocking chair does not sing my song for long (that's poetic). I self assigned fourteen of them and I'll be able to pick up some stations surrounding them when I decide how hard I want to hit the road. I'm going to concentrate on how to do them faster and better. I don't like to do food and many other types of shops, pretty limited on what I'll take. The sky has not fallen, the world has not ended, betcha the sun comes up.

Nah, the sky has not fallen in. They have been 20% of my shop fees MTD, to continue that I have to do 3 times the shops with the new MSC. Yeah the sun will come up in the morning, but that doesn't mean all is good in the world.

I've got four with the old company for Friday of this week. 1 at $35, 2 at $50, and 1 at $60.
I'll do a few for the new MSC at the base price in order to prove to them that I can do them, and thereby make sure that I'm on their radar for when the phone call bonus scramble starts at the end of the rotation.
Yes, I understand but this is just part of the ongoing trend the past few years. I loved the bigger fees as much as anyone but I wasn't able to get many of the jobs. I think it depends on where you are and the amount of shoppers. I never got more than one or two a month because they were gone before I'd pick them up. I'm going to make more money now and excuse me to Abilene and back but I think $12.00 is fair. Not spectacular, but fair for the time it takes. I really haven't concentrated on streamlining the shops because I didn't do enough of them. Now I think I'll get enough volume to merit my attention. I don't concern myself much with how much I get for each hour I work. I concern myself with the total I can save every month. If I can do three at $12.00 I have more money than one at $22.00, which was a real good fee in my area. I know I look at things differently from most people but it works for me. About what Mr. Computer said, I think you'll agree you did bait him just a teeny teeny bit. Some of us old people are so crotchety. Sorry.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I look at it strictly per hour. My average time in a them is between 20 and 25 minutes. Reports are quick but realistically probably 15. 40 minutes of "work" and lets say an average of 20 minutes to drive means $12 per hour. My time is worth significantly more than that.

For me I'd much rather do 1 @ $22 than 3 @ $12. Sure 3 @ $12 is more money, but it also requires 3x the drive time and 3x the wear and tear. My MO with the old MSC was to do 1 or 2 for $50 an hour away and fill up the trip with other shops to pad the total. You can do that taking 2 for $12 an hour away.
