DSG scheduler's calls

Has anyone had a problem understanding the schedulers when they call from DSG? I had one call this week and neither me nor my husband could understand what he was saying. Also he called 4 times in a row!

Yep, me. The calls are so garbled, the sound quality not the person speaking, I can't understand what they say. It sounds like they are talking into a wind storm. I get a call almost everyday. I usually let it go to voice mail, but did call back once, and still the sound quality was still bad. It could have been my phone, but I don't have trouble with other calls. All they had in my area was banking shops, which I don't do, I told them no thank you, but I still get an almost daily call.
Good thing I love my new ringtone!
Yeah, they keep calling me as well. At first, they were reminder calls for upcoming shops, but I haven't had a scheduled shop with them for a month and I still get calls. I just block them now. Is there a way to tell them to stop calling me (aside from terminating my account)?
There are long threads about this on this board. That is their thing now. Sometimes I think they want us not to understand so we will just say yes and take the underpaid shops. NOPE!
I just had one of them also. I'm glad it was not my phone. Very difficult to understand.
And I thought I was the only who kept getting static-ridden reminder calls from a DSG scheduler. She also called me at work twice...after I told her the first time not to call me at work. I hung up on her the first time because she wasn't getting it (she continued to try to keep talking to me after I told her I was at my regular job and couldn't talk to her); the second time, I was about to hang up on her and she said, "Oh, am I not supposed to call you at work." I said, "Yes; e-mail me" and hung up on her. I am already on task overload at work (because the others who do my job are out on extending sick leaves so I've been overburdened with helping everyone). It's a bit difficult to argue having too many things to do if I get caught on shop calls at work.
Thanks to all who replied. I called the supervisor last week and no return call yet. Yesterday I sent her an email, we shall see!
Yes, there are a few threads on here about DSG. They used to be WONDERFUL to work for, albeit a bit low in pay sometimes. They had awesome staff who were based in California, could bonus many times, paid like clockwork 46 days or something like that after the shop, all was great. And then they outsourced all their schedulers to India or somewhere. I haven't taken one shop since that move. I refuse to work for a company that admittedly outsourced to save money.
I just received 4 unintelligible phone calls in 24 hours from DSG (haven't done a shop for them yet). Received a voicemail yesterday that I had to take a long time to decipher, finally figured out that they said "DSG" in there somewhere. So I called them back. Couldn't understand the scheduler between the accent and the static. Finally figured out that they were for financial shops, but there were none available (then why did you just call me?). That was yesterday. Today two more calls. Suddenly the shops are back? But it doesn't matter because this time the call quality and accents are WORSE and I end up hanging up. I tried calling personnel in California 3 times and got voicemail. So I sent an email asking to be deactivated (their system doesn't have this feature), and explaining why. I did get a reply to my email a little while ago. I had mentioned this forum (as an example how I was not the only one experiencing these issues) and the person said they would be coming by to address questions.... we shall see...
I just let them go to voicemail, if they even leave a message. The one time I spoke with someone, I asked them not to call as I check the job board regularly.. Didn't help, I still get at least 1 call a day.
Like I said, good thing my ring tone is a jingle I love!
I use to love working for DSG. But when they outsourced to India or Phillipines, I refuse to work for them.

I posted a message on their Facebook page, saying. I use to love shopping for your company, but due to you outsourcing your schedulers, who can't speak English. And don't understand the questions we have as shopppers. That I can no longer work for your company.

I received an email back from their president , with a supervisor schedulers email and phone number. And encouraged me to contact. I said, no thank you. Not until you bring the jobs back to the US.

There are MANY of us who would love to be schedulers.

It's important to have that shopper/scheduler relationship. I will admit I am picky, I try to only work with one or two schedulers in a MSC. Because then they KNOW my work ethic, and my personal situation. BUT when they have a last minute shop they need done, and they call me and I say I can help, I do follow through.

( Ok, off my soap box :-) )
I agree Kelli!!! When they outsourced their schedulers, I decided not to work for them anymore. Not only do I have an issue with them taking American jobs overseas but I also have a HUGE issue with some random person in another country having my personal information!

They called me four times in a two hour span last night. This is not unusual, they just call over and over and over. Over the past three weeks, they have called me 3-5 times a day - every day. And when I say I'm not interested in the shops, they get rude and ask why and tell me I need to do it. I deleted my phone number in their system and made sure my SSN is nowhere to be found either!

DSG needs to wake up - this is horrible! They're losing shoppers now...clients will be next.
The calls are not only static-ridden with callers who have heavy accents, but there are other employees in the background who are making calls as well. All of that makes it impossible to make out what they are saying. Not only can I not understand the names they are stating, but no way can I make out the phone numbers.
Yes! Very hard to understand. They keep calling me to do shops and the same scheduler keeps asking the same qustions about where I bank. Why aren't they sending e-mails like most MSCs do?
I don't know, but it sure would be nice if they would email. I won't answer or return their calls until they find someone who can communicate well enough for me to understand them.
I can hardly understand what they are saying when they call. So, I just give a reason why I can't do the shop. They have low pay given the extensiveness of the reports. For the few that I've done, I never accept their offer to take my report by phone.
I will not take their calls or call back when they leave messages. Same story, a guy calls me one day, and the call lasted 26 minutes between me asking him to repeat himself, then him asking me a series of questions regarding bank accounts, then telling me at the end they don't have any in my area. Really? I don't get it. Then he asked me to do a retail shop at the mall in a local town for $15. I told him I won't go that area due to horrible traffic and parking for less than $25. He puts me on hold for a few minutes and came back to say the mall is close to me so they can't pay more than $15.

Then he called me again the next day asking me the exact same questions and then told me they don't have anything in my area. Then asked me to take the exact same shop at the mall. No more.
Oh my gosh. They called me 4 times today. DECLINED!!! Ain't nobody got time for that!
I just talked to a scheduler from DSG. He had an accent but to me, he was easily understood except for the static on the line (I thought maybe that was before I was on my cell phone and was in the inside of a large office building.)
However, I work full time at a large company where there are many nationalities of people. A large majority of them (especially in IT where I am at are from Asia) so to me listening to the schedulers from DSG or MarketForce are the same as I hear everyday.
He offered me a nice fee to go pretend to want to buy jewelry (my favorite fun shop as I get to play rich for 30 minutes or so before going back to reality) -- This kind of shop is my favorite on NSS so I'm sure it will be similar on DSG.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
DSG is not a bad company but if you speak Mandarin, it would be a plus. The main office is in California and the jewelry shops that they offer are super good and good bucks but communication will be a bit difficult Shia Shia. Doc
Most of the callers have not sounded Asian to me. The last several callers had, from what I could understand of what they said, heavy French accents.
YES. Excessive, aggressive phone calling, and massive language barriers. Cannot do this company for much longer. If they can't hire people whose English is understandable, I am going elsewhere. Any other companies any of you would recommend....??
Hi SEAshopper,

I am signed up with 100s of companies. It is futile to recommend many of them because shops can be so region specific. Marketforce is one that seems to have widespread shops, though.
Seashopper has 6 posts; all about this one company.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I received a call from a scheduler from DSG, I could not understand him, I was not certain if it was because I was traveling in the country or his english skills. I told him I was having a difficult time understanding him and was unable to pull over as I was on my way to a shop, he continued to speak on and on, no idea what exactly he was saying, he did ask when he could call back, and I gave him a time, but he never did. I had read this post prior to receiving the call so was a bit prepared. He kept saying DSG, DSG.... meanwhile when I do log into the site it says that I am not eligible for any shops that are available, so have no idea what he was calling for.
Oh my I got my first call from them today (I had signed up last month). Not only was English not the caller's first language, but there was so much background noise! It was insane and after I finally got enough information to understand what and where the shop was, I told him I did the same shop for another company for $5 more. He kept repeating, "but it's only 4.6 miles from you." I finally had to hang up. This is definitely a number I will be blocking on my phone.
