Sorry for posting another thread but I can't find the old thread regarding payment issues.

Has anyone had late payments lately?

Initially I was being paid on time but last month, pay that was to be issued was delayed by 11 days. I've received payment for some shops then received the rest a little over a week later past the date that was stated on the Sassie login page. The person handling payments is responsive but I wanted to start a thread where others could track and discuss issues they are having.

Apparently, their login page says that March shops will be paid in June. Didn't they use to pay 60 days later? That's why I don't pick up a lot of work from them. Sometimes, they were the only decent paying shops that were coming into my inbox, but honestly, waiting 2 months (now it seems like it's 3 months)...

This is the policy from their website. So if you do a shop any time in March, you should be paid in early June. That could be anywhere from approximately 60 to 90 days, depending on when in March you did your shop. My payments have always followed that schedule.

"Compensation for contracted services are submitted to PayPal approximately 60 days after the last day of the month in which the shop was completed. Please note that it then takes PayPal up to 5 business days to process this transaction and clear the money for disbursement."

Edited to add: May shops would be paid in the beginning of August, so May payments are not late.

Yes, Roxie has it correct that May shops are due to get paid right about now, the beginning of August.

In the past, Service Sleuth has been diligent about posting a message on a monthly basis similar to the first line of this post. For example, it could say, March 2015 shops will be paid by June 6th, 2015 or sooner. The same message also provided a name and email address of an employee to contact regarding payment issues. One time, I noticed one time the payment message date slid to about the 15th of the month instead of around the first - they corrected that and got back to more near the first of the month.

However, the payment message has not been updated on the website in two months. The website says March 2015 shops will be paid by June 6th or sooner. How does that make you feel?

Edited to add: A day or three after this post the website was updated to say that May 2015 shops will be paid on August 15th or sooner. There is a name and email address of a contact person for payment issues.

Just received a PayPal payment today with the following message (for my May 5th shop)...
"Note from HS Brands International:
This is your payment for the shops completed. The rest of the May shops will be paid by August 15th or sooner. Sorry for the delay. Please go to www.mymysteryshop.com to view your breakdown. Thank you"

After waiting over two months for a May 12th shop payment, I emailed the scheduler and asked when the May shops would pay she replied rather quickly it would be by the end of July. So if the payment does not arrive tomorrow I will email again. It is ridiculous they are taking so long to pay!

Do you accept PayPal payments from them? I am not sure why I have already been paid while others have not. Maybe they like me better. Or they fear me more. Ha, ha, ha!

Yes, I do accept PayPal payments from them. All I know is that I did a shop for them on May 2nd, that was paid on July 7th. I am now waiting payment for two shops that I did, on May 7th, and May 9th, respectively. Really, though, 3 shops from the beginning of May could have all been paid on July 7th...

It's getting a little ridiculous now.. May shops won't be paid until August 15th. The dates keep changing.

It seems like they pay whenever they feel like paying. Waiting 60 days is one thing when I expect it but another when one is not paid on time.

If it gets any longer I probably won't do any of their shops. Their shops are "filler shops" for me so I have a constant stream of income but still.. I like consistency. Why every other month in the past I have been paid before month end and now it's half way into the next month? :/

Lol I didn't even get an apology. Only received half of what I am owed for the month of May so far.

Yes, it is getting slower. Now they are abuut two weeks behind the stated payment schedule. They have gone this late in the past and gotten a bit faster, but not faster than their stated schedule. Hopefully it will get better next month.

They have never been speedy to pay. We used to refer to them not as Service Sleuth but Service Sloth.

Well, lets hope it stays there instead of them getting slower with payment and more ominous nicknames like tortoise, hibernating bear, and stiff. I could go farther, but I think that is enough.

June shops have not been paid. Pay date was August 31. Not going to go into the excuse I was given for not getting it but posting here so people are aware.

They have (edited: almost always) paid on the last day of their stated range. The casinos are supposed to be paid faster. I usually get excuse after excuse and have to chase it. It's doubtful that there's any good reason for this. I like their casinos (they pay more than most once you finally get it), but the other stuff I will only take if I was going to lay out the money anyway.

It's unprofessional to not keep to their payment terms. It's even more so to make flimsy excuses as to why.

I got paid on August 11th and 12th for May shops. I never have to chase them, so I just wait patiently. The PayPal payment has arrived, and experience has taught me that they are often late.

I never really understood most of the payment issues I read about on here. I assume this MSC's employees don't have to wait more than 60 days to get paid.

If your client is a turtle when it comes to pay, you should pay your shoppers and take up the balance with the client. Without shoppers, your MSC is nothing.

They are behind now in their shops. They had a notice up that said June shops would be paid by August 31. The other day when I looked, it had been changed to Sept. 15th. There was no reason given for the delay.

I do not do shops for them any longer. The last one I did was from a Kern scheduler at the sporting goods store ...she gave me a $10 bonus and said I would be paid in a week. Well, that never happened and it took longer to get paid then the usual 60 days. I also did not appreciate her lying to me about it.

I do not understand why this MSC pays so late?! I have not come across any others that pay later than a month after the end of the month of the shop, and even that's a little late compared to some others. I did a couple shops for this MSC in the middle of July so I am expecting payment by November 5th, I hope I don't have to chase after it. A couple shops just came up with them too but I'm more hesitant to do them knowing how long I have to wait for my money, especially when they are reimbursement shops.

So with this MSC if I did a shop in July I won't get payment until October, right?
