Cirrus Marketing - When Do They Pay?!

Hello Everyone. I am new to the forum but have been mystery shopping on and off for over ten years.

I did my first shop for Cirrus back in January and have yet to be paid. I submitted an invoice per their instructions at the end of January but never received payment. When I followed up I was told that for shops completed in January payment would be issued in June!

Here we are in June and still no payment.

If you go to 'mystery shopping company' threads you'll see I have posted a chart with all the companies and when and how they pay. It's the first sticky there. You will see on that form that shoppers report Cirrus as taking up to 3.5 months to pay and there are several reports of non-payment from this company. I don't know any company that takes up to 6 months to pay and I would say they aren't planning on paying you.

Before you shop for another company you might want to check them out on that sticky and see if the payment terms are acceptable to you.
Cirrus pays on a 90 day turnaround and you have to make sure to submit that invoice, which is the part I think is insane. I did several shops last fall and was paid promptly in 90 days. I didn't do shops the first part of the year, but now have done some in May, June, and July, so I should get paid for the May ones in September, I guess it works out to. It is a ridiculously long period of time, but they pay well in my opinion, so as long as they pay in that 3.5 months, I'll work with it.

Edit: Oops - I was wrong. I thought I'd been paid, but upon double checking, I have not. I am currently in the process of getting that handled.

They pay after you have bled for it. They completely lie about when they pay. It took me 5 months to get paid for the one and only shop I did for them. I followed the payment instructions to the letter.

I have completed numerous jobs for Cirrus Marketing Intelligence and received excellent scores. I have not received payment for any jobs and in has been several months. Each time I contact the company regarding the money they owe me I get the run around. I was told I would be paid in July. Then when no payment arrived I called again July 31st and was told I would be paid in 48 hours. When no payment arrived in 48 hours I contacted them again and was told "they would check into it". I have seen may complaints about this company with the same issue. It is like pulling teeth to try to get paid for your hard work with Cirrus Marketing Intelligence. I DO NOT recommend this company!! I have contacted the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION at ftc.gov. They are very interested in hearing about this. Everyone who has completed work for this company and not been paid, PLEASE file a complaint with the FTC!!
Actually, I have now been paid for those shops that I mentioned before. I had to make a phone call, but it was in my bank account within a week. I'll have to see what happens when the end of the month rolls around when they are due to pay for the May shops.
Jenny, keep bugging them until you get paid. They will probably pay you, but not without you pestering them.
It took them 13 months to pay me for one shop. I have been waiting for two months now for another shop. I guess they like to take their time.
There are companies in every industry that have an unofficial policy of not paying invoices until they're chased down by the vendors. I don't understand that mentality at all, but it does exist.
Cirrus marketing has recently started a new pay policy.
To get paid you must do 68 Double twist jumps in the air.
All 68 must be completed consecutively without any errors.
This must be reviewed by 159 review committees.
After the review you must count backwards from 100 to 1 , 1000 times in a row.
27 people need to verify that you successfully completed the proper sequence of counting backwards from 100.

That will then get you entered into a cue to be possibly be paid 8 months after successful completion of the required steps.... TWICE repeated....
It took me nearly 8 months to get paid and then it wasn't the full amount. I literally started calling everyday to talk to the owner. There was always an excuse. I was getting ready to file a claim, but it got paid. I think it's funny that you can ALWAYS get ahold of someone if you need help with a shop, but not when you want what's owed.
I had done jobs for the in February and March. At the end of each of the two months that I was supposed to be paid, I emailed them a copy of the invoice I had submitted and asked for status. On both occasions, they did NOT respond to my email, but then my paypal account received the payment a few days later. I am not planning on doing any more jobs for them unless their payment practices get much better...
I can't imagine quality shoppers with options are doing many shops for them. I would guess they just rely on shoppers who don't know any better than to expect such poor treatment. I would be embarrassed to work for a company that didn't pay its bills until the collection calls started.
I stopped doing shops for this company because I consistently had to hound them for payment. I was doing major shops at a big box store that took several hours to complete, and the reports were extremely detailed. The pay was pretty good (although it has since gone down quite a bit). I never received a single payment without begging for it several times. I only got results by sending emails and cc'ing every single email address on their site. Every scheduler, every editor, and every other email address available. My assumption is that each of these people simply forwarded my email to the appropriate person, therefore flooding his or her inbox with my request for payment. Anyway, I do not recommend this company to anyone. They are the only company, of the dozens that I have contracted with, that has been problematic regarding payment.
I did two shops for this MSC when I was new to MSing. I submitted reports and invoices on time and then I waited ... and waited ... and waited for payment. I finally shot off an e-mail to Birgit requesting payment. Crickets. Two weeks later I re-sent the e-mail but noted in bold red letters "SECOND REQUEST". Crickets again. Now I'm mad as a wet hornet and I sent an e-mail to Birgit challenging her to at least be professional enough to respond to my e-mails. That must have struck a nerve because the money was in my Paypal account the next day. I'll never shop for this MSC again!
Finally got the last of the money they owe me today, two months late, after weeks of unanswered emails and voicemails. I had deactivated my account with them a few days ago. It feels good to finally be able to move on.
