Shopper's Critique thumbs up!

Since lots of people post rants when a MSC is not good to work for, I thought I would do the opposite and give one a big thumbs up!
They are easily accessible by phone. I've only dealt with the receptionist and Dixie both very friendly. I still don't get their shop announcement emails, but get the rest of the emails reminding me the shop is due and when I have been assigned a shop. So I just log in periodically. Also, I think their website is very easy to use. All the tabs with all the pertinent info is very helpful. Best of all, I like that they don't give you just one set date to complete the shop, they give you a range of dates, makes picking up other shops around the area very easy. Really liking this MSC at the moment! I did a shop on 9/9 and was paid 10/5. I did another shop this week, have not been edited yet but all the tabs they have you can look at all that information.
I wish other MSCs would have all that information on their site it is very user friendly and allows the shopper to know exactly what's the progress with the shops.

I like the (certain restaurant) shops - very friendly, helpful and bend over backwards to help. My only issue is the REDUNDANT, long slog that they require in their reports. Lots of little "mini-narratives" that answer their questions - and then 2 paragraphs after that answer the same questions. Sometimes asking for too much information is not a good thing because people get bogged down and miss the big picture. You can do all the cut and paste and short cuts you want -- the reports are still too long. I limit the shops I do for this reason- though I love the company and the food. They are so dang nice that I am still doing their reports. I have done about 15 reports. Also they report you entire $27 fee on the 1099 whereas every other company that I have run across so far only reports reimbursements and not the fee. More tax work for me. (certain restaurant) is not required to report the food reimbursements - but they do anyway. I have never had a problem with my reports and have never been chastised for incomplete information. I would do more shops if they would cut down on the redundancy.

Mod note: It is a breach of Forum rules and probably also a violation of your ICA to use a client's name in a way that links it with the MSC. The thread concerns Shopper's Critique so naming a client is not permitted
They are easy to work with - especially the schedulers for the phone shops. However, if you do enough of the phone shops you start to find the editors are hyper-critical and it's easy to have at least 2-3 out every 20 shops disqualified. They are still great to work with with, just a caveat. Done their in-person clothing shops as well and never had any issues there.
Yep, I love Shoppers Critique! I interact with Dixie most of the time, and she is awesome.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
Dixie is great, really pleasant and friendly on the phone. Love those types of schedulers and am always willing to be more flexible since they show flexibility to their shoppers. Thanks Dixie!
I had two back to back shops with them today. Both shops I was required to valet but also go inside the hotel to get a non-alcoholic drink. First small hotel had no restaurant open at the noon hour due to a computer problem. SO I called SC right away, and of course it was easy to reach them and Dixie was great to deal with! The next shop the hotel very large also did not have a lounge where they can serve just a soda but there was a separate stand alone Tully's coffee shop and a deli on the second floor, I was again stuck not knowing what to do, so I called and again it was easy to reach Dixie on the phone and she put me on hold to clarify! It just is so nice to be able to reach a live person when there is a question while on a shop!

I've applied for probably 50 of their phone shops now and never gotten assigned to even one. Is there a trick to getting phone assignments with them?

@txmt, I just applied for some of their phone shops. I only requested the shops near where I live, and I got three out of the six I tried to get. I have just started mystery shopping though. Some companies that I have done phone shops for, say you can only do so many, like five as an example. I noticed the recent phone shops for Shopper's Critique got assigned very quickly.
@txmt I would try giving them a call! They are very friendly at the office. I have not done a phone shop with them so can't comment on that. I did mention to Dixie that I would like to do a certain shop ( that I see but are always already assigned by the time I see it) and she said she will make a note!
Thanks, I'll try giving them a call!
