Mabe they should offer to allow you to trade in hero citations for crap toys like you can with the tickets you "win" at the games at Chuck E' Cheese's. You could end up with a little stuffed toy for your dog to chew up in five minutes. Or a real hero could shoot for something really big, like a remote controlled car with a cable attached to it.
I'm newish to mystery shopping. I earned a couple hero citations but didn't understand what they were. I thought I could collect ten and turn them in for a prize of some sort. Don't I feel silly now...

the instructions for those cancellation type shops can be garbled. Anybody know how we are supposed to get a cancellation receipt?
The employees should give it to you upon cancellation. I guess it depends on the employee's knowledge? Some employees who I felt really knew what they were doing (fast service, quick transaction, did everything he/she was supposed to) gave me a cancellation receipt without having to ask.
All I have to say on the subject is...SHOW ME THE MONEY! That's the reason I am working! A Hero Citation is an insult to my intelligence!
15 hero citations today! I thought they made a mistake and instead of $15 bonus they wrote hero. A newbie told me recently that a scheduler told the shopper that if she gets many hero citations, then she would be able to be considered for the high end assignments for the company. Just another "clever" advertising by this MSC like when they advertise "$15 bonus shop" and they mean the shop starts at $5 and they now have a bonus of $15 so it will go to the starting base that the previous MSC offered for the same shop.

Once again for newbies. Hero citations means nothing. You do not get brownie points. You can not buy groceries or pay your bills with hero citations. Read everything carefully with this MSC.
From what I understand, about the only thing I hear a hero citation will do is help you increase your overall shopper score. Hero citations are the equivalent of getting a perfect score on a shop. If they have certain clients whose shops are only shown to those meeting a minimum score, they could help you in that case.
Pretty soon the shop will be listed as fee 1000 hero citations reimbursement $0. Don't worry it is a fun and easy shop.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

So definition of "reliable shopper" - one who will take, at the last minute, a shop they never would have wanted, still don't want and did it for way too little money.[/quote

How come Hero Citation reeks of Ken Blanchard, Dale Carnegie or Robinson ideas that are long dead because words are cheap, cash pay's bills.

How come you have so many posts with complaints about pay? As an IC, each of us always has the option to take an assignment or not take an assignment. We are not victims, locked in to accepting jobs with low pay or working for specific companies unless it is our choice. If mystery shopping doesn't pay enough, there are other ways to make money.
