I understand your frustration that the scheduler didn't specifically state which of the shops had been cancelled. I get frustrated all the time by confusing communications from schedulers.

But, you've repeated at least twice the part of her e-mail that said "this shop" was removed. However, the following sentence indicates that they were all cancelled:

We thank you for your interest and will definitely keep you posted when THESE (caps mine, for emphasis) shops are available again.

To me, that's a pretty clear statement that all the shops have been cancelled, for all shoppers. The shops are simply no longer available; it doesn't matter how many you had scheduled; they're all gone.

I'm guessing that this e-mail was a mass e-mail sent out to all shoppers who had any of these shops scheduled. They used the singular form (this shop) in that first sentence, rather than "these" because probably most shoppers had only one shop scheduled. They then followed up with the above sentence to explain that they all have been cancelled.

I'm not ragging on you, but trying to explain what I think happened. I think you're taking it too personally. It certainly sounds as if you were notified as soon as the scheduling firm was notified by the MSC, which probably notified the scheduling firm as soon as the client notified it!

In the predigital age, subjects often were in all caps. Online, not so much:

One thing you don’t want to do is to shout at the reader. Yet, many professionals still use ALL CAPS whenever they compose an email. This may be thought to indicate a greater importance for their message, but to most readers, it comes across like shouting."

Back before the computer, the "!" was not a single key on the typewriter and required hitting the dot and then manually back spacing the physical round bar the paper was wrapped around with a clunky hard to hit key and hitting the dash."

Now shouting is just someone with caps lock on, and everyone understands they are bent out of shape.

If you really wanted to get it all out of your system and really shout, you need to use some "bbcode"

see:

Now you need to replace the "{" and "}" with "[" and "]" for it to work. I used the "{" as an example, as you'd not see the example otherwise:

I just received an email the other day telling me that my shop was canceled because they have reached their quota for this customer and I didn't need to do it anymore!? What?! Why then did you have so many ICS scheduled! So if I did my shop before someone else then I would of been paid? What if I had already gone that morning? It was a $30.00 shop, so I was really $=/%&== mad! Has this happened to anyone?
I was told the same thing by a few of my high school teachers. That was back in the 80's and that was the worse thing that we worried about a teacher saying ass! Not like now is a CRAZY ASS student going to come into school and shooting or killing our children! Just saying.

I wonder if this is a common occurrence or just a fluke? I had been scheduled for two shops with Shoppers Confidential and received confirmation. A few hours later I get an email stating that the shops are on hold until the client sorts out some changes. It also stated that the shops will remain on our home pages and the due dates will be changed to reflect this situation. When I checked my home page with Shoppers Confidential, my two shops were sitting there with a new due date of Nov. 28 to the 30th. I get an email today from a scheduler stating "Hi!, I just wanted to send a quick note, that we've removed this shop from the board. We thank you for your interest and will definitely keep you posted when these shops are available again. Thank you! Julie". I sent her an email asking for further info since I had two shops scheduled and had just applied for two more of the same shops. I needed to know what shop had been removed since her email was not clear about that. She got back to me to say that I didn't have any shops scheduled. Now that was news to me!!! The bottom line is that through a number of emails to find out what happened, she explained that all the shops have been cancelled. When I asked why I wasn't notified, she just kept stating that the shops have been cancelled but couldn't understand that all I wanted to know is why was I not notified. As far as I am concerned, all shoppers are due the consideration to be notified asap when shops are cancelled. I know they wouldn't take kindly to shoppers not notifying them if they can't complete a shop. Courtesy goes two ways.
if a company was in the habit of cancelling shops on me, i just wouldn't do business with them. especially if i set aside other potential work to do those shops.

In this case, the end client apparently cancelled the entire round of shops, so the MSC and the scheduling firm weren't responsible. If shops get cancelled willy-nilly and frequently, and without ample notice, then I see your point and agree with you. But that wasn't the case in the OP's situation....

It was probably ninth grade when we were taught the "definition" of assume. Are you being facetious or really suggesting we worry about a teacher using the word ass? I'm finding it hard to believe you are that much of a prude.

My grade 10 English teacher's favorite saying was "Never assume anything because you know it can make an ass out of u and me". I have always thought that was wise words to remember.
Wow, a tenth grade teacher used swear words while teaching students? That is totally inappropriate and that teacher should have been reprimanded.

I always liked the "ass out of you and me" trope for remembering how to spell assume, but I can never hear it without thinking "nope. You can't make an ass out of me. I'm the only one who can make an ass out of me. And you're the only one who can make an ass out of you."
