Lisa what do you consider to be a decent paying job for one hours work? I appreciate your input as always, if you think I can do better please tell me.
to be fair, maritz has given me some of the biggest bonuses i've gotten anywhere. maybe not bgriffin money, but i've been pretty happy with them overall. you just gotta wait till they call you around deadline time.
I think Maritz' pay is pretty low at the base price. They do offer bonuses more readily than some, though.

Maritz CX is NOT a big payer. At best, they might be considered mid-range and that is MIGHT. I agree with jay225 about them offering big bonuses. But even their bonus offers have been shrinking since mid-2015.@Pennies4Shops wrote:

Bonus is so dependent on area. I've always found it odd I got crazy good bonuses from the MSC they poached a bunch of clients from while with Maritz they are often going at base rate. It seems like almost an entirely different pool of shoppers.

It is weird. It could be that some MSC's have it worked into their contracts that they can leave a certain percentage unshopped each period. I don't know if any do, but it seems like it sometimes.

I'm having the same problem right now. I waited nearly half an hour to get help and others were standing there too. Once I got my turn, the guy just waited for me to ask questions. When I did, he responded with yes or no. I can't tell them anymore than I already have. Then when asked if the store is my go-to store for all my home improvement needs, I said no, because it really isn't. I have done my last of these shops, too much trouble for too little pay.
They're bumming me out. Have had two GS reports on hold where my submitted photos have disappeared. Two more on hold asking me WHY the time on a store receipt is not accurate. On one of those they changed my report to indicate litter in the landscaping. They put my MID photo in as the infraction photo - what they were looking at was snow, not trash! They also changed my report to indicate more than 50% of window space was blocked by signs. They put my building photo in as proof. What they were seeing was reflections of cars and pumps!

I was told by a team leader that an outside company was handling the editing duties for at least one of their GS clients. I am now wondering if this company is located in a third-world country to save money like MF has done. It is getting frustrating just reading these posts. I have only had one job put on hold but I am still getting frustrated.

I hate when they ask why the time is incorrect. What a stupid question. I always respond that I do not know why the time is incorrect and that this is out of my control. What they should ask, if they must, is that we confirm that our times are correct.
They have been changing my reports too. Most recently, they marked a station down for not having restroom supplies because the paper towels weren't showing at the bottom of the dispenser. They were in there, though.
It is odd how photos are disappearing. At first, when it happened, I thought I must have missed it, but it happens often enough and I am being careful, that I know it is an issue on their end.
These people are clearly paid by the hour, not the job.
As I said before, I stopped doing this brand because of the new editors. Last month I did a few to see if the editing had changed. Apparently it has as only one of 9 or 10 was red carded asking for another photo, which I was able to submit as I've learned to take many extra photos, particularly inside. I have just agreed to do 9 more next week (with nice bonuses) and I'll see how they are accepted. If they are bounced back for picky reasons I'll back off again but I think the editors have gained some experience and are more reasonable. At least I hope so.

I appreciate you educating me on these facts, I might have been seen the bonus and other pay as distorting their normal rates. Does this mean you only do their shops when they put a bonus on them? Thank you for the input!

I had an odd experience over a photo. The photo was twice bounced back to me due to image not being clear. I could not wrap my head around this because the image was crystal clear. I re-took the photo and, again, it was bounced back by the editor. At this point I was a bit dumbfounded as it was perfectly clear. So, I re-sent the original photo. It was accepted! lol
On another shop I pressed the wrong button in the evaluation form. This screwed up the rest of the report! For some reason I could not correct it. An editor phoned me and was fantastic in his assistance. We discussed what happened and the editor actually went in and made the changes for me.
I understand the frustration on both ends. The editors are super busy and so are the shoppers. We are all hustling fast and furiously to get the jobs done.

Here I am with another hold. Wanting a picture of diesel because the sign said there was diesel. The sign most certainly did not say there was diesel, but the low resolution we are forced to use prevented them from reading the smaller print on the sign. The price shown was for premium gas.

I took a pic of the fore court. Missed that it had changed. They wanted one with the new standard. I replied that I would have to return to re shoot it. They accepted the shop without the re shoot.

I took a break from these for many of the reasons posted in this thread. They called and ask me to pick one up that they really needed done. We'll see how it goes.
Heads up, I just got a kickback on a urinal shot. They rejected it, said they had to have a sink or toilet. Who knew? Not me, been doing these for years and years and have usually submitted a urinal in the men's room if they had a urinal. Fortunately I had a sink shot. Lucky me.

I do most of my shops with Maritz and I absolutely love them! They pay on time and always have plenty of jobs available. They offer incentives, and if it is not enough for you, you can talk to one of the team members and request more pay. They are super flexible and lately my favorite MSC! I have never had to write long narratives and the shops are relatively easy. I do this full time and do very well each week. I love this MSC!
Also, I forgot to mention, you can self assign, which makes things even better!
I love Alan, Barbara, Jean and Nola, their awesome if you have to extend a deadline or need additional clarification their very good people! I can't brag enough about them, I wish we could put them all on the "Best Scheduler" list because they treated me and my friends great!
Amazing. Over two weeks of calling with no return phone call. Yesterday, I actually got a check in the mail.
I noticed that they want you to do extra work but they are not offering any more pay. No thank you.

I think Abbott is great, too.
I have had dealings with the Editor also. When I did not have the opportunity to hesitate on a home improvement shop, I got dinged. When I told her that was unfair, she told me that I could take the pay and not do another shop for that company or take nothing and I could continue to do those shops.
Sometimes I feel that those shops are not worth it. For me, the report takes 2 hours to complete.
