They pay the 15th (sometimes the 14th, sometimes the 16th) of the month following the shop.

I love working for them. Pay is right on time and reports easyto do. You also have 24 hours to enter your reports.

Is it still 24 hours? One of the emails I received the other day said to have it reported within 12 hours.
Their policy states that evaluations are to be submitted within 12 hours, or contact the scheduler for an extension.

STN notifies of shop assignments within 24 hours of a shopper's request. That's appreciated.
So far STN is my favorite MSC good bonuses, easy shops and best of all easy reports! I have not had to call them so I can't address problems others have had in this area. They are quick to email you back. Great company for a newbee to start out with because the shops are easy and so are the reports.
Are those the health convention type shops? Most of what we have here for them pay around $7-$8.
I have not considered them in that category for quite a while. I loved my scheduler, Lori Baton, but she disappeared. Around that time, the lost the client that had the most shops here, they lost the difficult high-end designer that had several shops here, and the shops they still had left here, which are very few and far between, started cutting fees and shopping less. I won't do the brain numbing, boring, ridiculous report to write afterward insurance presentation, and that is all they have that pays a living fee here. I guess things are different in other parts of the country.

I really like them, I have been shopping them for several years and used to do a lot of coffee shops when they were shopping them. They assign quickly, pay quickly and I would recommend.

That is probably my favorite thing about them. I hate waiting to see if I'm going to be assigned something before I can plan the rest of a route.
Yesterday and today, has their site caused anyone else problems? It's been painfully slow or even dead at times, and their image editor doesn't want to upload. I have the same problems with IE or Firefox, though someone reported here that's no longer an issue.

Yes...I had two shops with them yesterday, and they reports pages took forever to load. I sent them a message and asked that they take a look at the site.

I liked STN but they disabled my account because they claimed I was identified on a bank shop. It was my first shop in months but I really don't know how I was identified. I tried several times to ask if I could be re-instated but they would not. Anyone else have this problem or know how if it could be rectified.

Thanks,
Lisa
I signed up with them this morning and applied for 2-3 shops, a couple of them of them are due tomorrow so I wonder if I will hear from them in time.
Does anyone know if you fail one of their quizzes if you ever get another chance to shop that particular business? I failed the same one three time, twice I got the same one question wrong as I was misinterpreting some information and the last time I hit the submit button too soon without answering all the questions which apparently it interpreted the blank answers as wrong answers. I took several other quizzes successfully but really messed up on that one.
Yes, Danabnnc, I got my reports in and POVs uploaded this evening. The site is still hiccuping, but not as bad for me today as over the weekend.

ces1948, there are three attempts at quizzes. After that, you will need to contact STN and explain what happened.
I recommend Second to None, they are helpful and don't try to make your job harder than it has to be. The pay is above average.

That strongly depends on the job. The electronics store is undermarket.

I did my first shop for them recently. I felt the compensation and the report requirements were reasonable. At least they didn't require submitting "The Great American Novel" for an $8 shop.
Wish I could help or offer advice, Lisa - thus far, my experience with STN has been very good.

However, balking at reinstating someone or even giving a person the information about when they might have an account restored after something like that, sounds like something MarketForce would pull.

Good luck, I hope STN can help you out again.

I'm addressing this to those who shop for this company.

I was just clued in to something a bit sneaky. They are now charging $1 if you elect to be paid via Paypal, for the "convenience". However, if you choose to get paid via direct deposit, it is free of charge.

I immediately changed my info to be paid via D.D. I'm a little ticked that they could not be bothered to send their shoppers an email detailing this little change. If you go on their site, all you see regarding the change is a small-type line at the top of the page saying "PLEASE NOTE: There has been a change to our payment terms, please click here."

I work hard enough for small payments. If I don't have $150 in my Paypal account when I want to withdraw, I'm already dinged $0.50. So now, if this change had not been noticed, I might have lost $1.50 off an $9 shop. Not cool at all! Mind you, it won't stop me from shopping for them as I really enjoy their nice and easy shops but man, one really has to be on the ball eh?

<<yep, I'm Canadian and we really do say "eh?" a lot lol.

I also noticed the Note on their home page, recently. I changed my method of payment to direct deposit, which is my preferred choice anyway.

My PayPal account does not charge a fee when I transfer funds in any amount. I've withdrawn and transferred amounts less than $10 to my bank account, as I transfer immediately after it hits PayPal.
There is also a PP debit card available which has a Mastercard logo. This can be used to access funds in your PP account and can be linked to your checking account as a backup source.
The original post though was about a fee that second to none has started charging to pay you via PP. I ran across another company doing that the other day but don't recall which one. This was during the initial signup and they said there would a fee to be paid via PP. This may have been CRI
Thanks for the heads up, ladies! I didn't realize that STN was now charging a fee for PayPal. I did my first shop for them in several years a couple of weeks ago and did not see anything about the $1 fee. I just changed my payment option to direct deposit. Even with a bonus this shop was barely what I would normally accept and I would have been really annoyed to see a buck pulled off of it for payment!

I agree with Mert, I've never seen a fee on PayPal with a transfer to my bank. I have just a ho-hum mundane account and I transfer every payment as soon as it hits. Whenever I do a quick survey for PineCone that is a $3 transfer to my bank.
There are no fees for withdrawals to a US bank account. For Canadian accounts, there is a $0.50 fee to transfer an amount less than $150.00, free if one transfers more than $150.00.
Ah yes, cross border issues in addition to currency exchange issues. Yes, you are in a whole different category than US shoppers being paid by US companies through Paypal.
