What's Up with Ath Scheduling?

Ath posted a boatload of jobs in my region, with a due date of this Friday. I think the "do not shop before" date was 10/18. On Monday, as soon as I saw the e-mail, I applied for two, one for today, one for tomorrow. Both showed as still pending this morning, and I had to cancel one app because I can no longer shop today. I'll have to cancel the other one if I don't hear back soon.

Most of them are still on the board, with very few showing as scheduled. I don't get it; if the window is so narrow and the deadline so near, why aren't these being scheduled? I haven't done anything for them in awhile, because they lost their biggest client in my area. But I did several shops in the spring for them, with no problems. So I'm not taking it personally. But it's puzzling. Anyone else having this issue?

Get in touch with the scheduler. Most of them are good, there is one that doesn't get back to you. What bank? I might beable to help you, although it might be to late for you. Lots of the banks will go into next week if you have a good scheduler.
I thought about contacting the scheduler directly, but the shop log specifically says not to.... If they want these jobs done, though, maybe it's a good idea to try, anyway! Thanks!

Birdy - if these are for the three-letter large regional bank, I have been applying for them and then reapplying for them. So far, I have done 2 of them and have another one scheduled for today. I have more pending. They are easy to do and report, so I will just keep applying and waiting. Whatever assignment rationale this team is using is very different from the prompt assignment and response process used by the team handling the large green and white regional bank.

myst4au, thanks! Yes, for them. I'll keep applying and re-applying, then, but if they assign me last minute for one, and I can't do it, I'll have to ask for an extension, or they'll just have to give it to someone else.

The last bank shops I did for them were for the big red bank, and those were assigned very quickly!

Hi Birdy! I put in a few applications for the 3 letter regional bank. The scheduler contacted me and asked when I could do them. The days I applied for were not a consideration. Since they were both en route to somewhere else, I just asked her to assign them for any day but xday..

I got an email for the 3-letter bank non-customer scenario but wanted a later date. I emailed the scheduler before applying and she wrote back that they were only scheduling bank customer shops. I replied in query as to why I received an email posting for a non-customer scenario. No reply.
It seems as if they're now only sending out customer shops. Maybe the non-customer inquiries will be next month?

Birdy, did you check all the pages? The non-customer shops were on my second and third pages.

The email I received stated:

"You simply need to visit your assigned location and engage a banker in a discussion in which you say you are not happy with your current primary bank, and that you'd like to know more about XXX checking account options. Read the shopper guide and shop evaluation fully before visiting the branch. The conversation then MUST include a discussion about XXX credit card(s). If the banker doesn't bring it up, you must eventually bring it up yourself. If you ARE a customer of XXX, do not try to complete this shop, as you can not be paid for it."

That's why I didn't understand why the scheduler told me that they were only scheduling customer shops. Why send out the emails with the above information, then?
I have been working for ATH for years, I'm sure you all know that by now. ATH will send you all of the banking request and specify whether or not you need to be a customer. They offer all banks to everyone. There should be the information in the offer whether or not you need to have an account.
JASFLALMT: This shop is a non-customer shop. Speak with a rep, not a teller. Ask about their checking accounts, at the end of your conversation if they didn't mention their credit cards, just ask about them and make notes of this in your narrative. This is an easy shop, I think that shoppers are preforming this shop when they are a customer. That is why they added in the ARE a customer.
BIRDYC - Your scheduler is the best person to talk to. I have been emailing them every month with a request outside the date, and they put me on a hold list, if they don't fill it I get an email.

Each bank varies, teller, platform, credit card, each have their own scenario. When you go into their site where you see the numbers; 100 etc. be sure to click on all of the listed numbers. Sometimes they go into the 700's.
If you are not in the date range, don't bother with the shop until it comes into the date you can do it. This is when I get in touch with my scheduler to let them know the dates I can do them. Doesn't mean that I will get them, just a request. Each bank has a different scheduler, go by whoever sent you the email. Hope this helps!
