What's the highest offer Marketforce has accepted from you?

I just put in an offer for $30 for a $17 shop (the shop fee was initially lower than $17) MF assigned me the shop within 10 minutes But now I feel like I should have asked for more. I feel cheated

This had been discussed before. It depends on the client as well as the location. In general, the more remote the location the more flexibility MF will demonstrate.

If you felt the bonus was reasonable, you did not cheat yourself. If you had asked for too much, then the job sits there and you can not resubmit a lower offer, but they sometimes call you with a lower counter offer.

thanks, I'll be sure to search next time before starting a new thread. Still new around here!
Regardless of how many times in the past this has been discussed, there is always new information. Older threads are closed after a few months so no one can add to them, and new posters, those who were not here when the subject was discussed before, may have valuable information.

Good question, eyelove2shop. I'm interested in hearing the highest offer MarketForce has accepted from other forum members. There are few high bonuses in my location. What about others?
The highest for me was $50. That was via the Make an Offer on the website. As far as phone calls go, I think the best I've gotten from a scheduler was $40.
Well...this thread inspired me to take a look at the job board. Saw two jobs somewhat close together and bid 75 on each. Accepted within 10 minutes. So I've got a new best!
If the Shop Type was shared, this would be much more helpful.

My beat fee has been $24 for Fast Casual, base was $6 so that's an $18 bonus.

The shops that sit the longest in my area are the various Wireless ones, and the current Tax Services. None have the Make Offer link, yet.

I have a gas station in 2 days for $50. I did a quick phone shop for $60 and another via phone call for $60. Both phone shops were a few days before Christmas and 40 minutes away.
There are two fast food locations I shop for them at $70 and $65 and several more in the $35-$50 range.

A few years ago they had a check cashing/payday loan place that needed shopped. They paid me $120 including the bonus. I didn't even end up doing the shop because it was for an auto title loan and that particular location didn't do them. All I did was walk in, ask the question about getting the loan, get a business card, and leave. I called them and talked to a MF rep and she explained how to submit the report. At first I was worried they were going to try to do the $3 closed location thing, but they didn't. I got paid the full amount.

It was to a hardware store that's only 15 mins away from where I live. They also gave up to $5 reimbursement.

Wow! That's awesome!

She kept adding the bonus higher and higher because I was not sure I wanted to do it. Once she hit $65.. I agreed! smiling smiley
Back when they did the major fast food client that no longer mystery shops, I could get $50 to $75 for a shop out in the boonies that no one would go to, but it was a bit of a haul, so it cost me a lot of time and gas $$. I still came out ahead, but it was a lot of work since I was not able to do any other shops out that way.
I actually prefer that. All things being equal I had rather spend more time driving and less time shopping and reporting.

I, too, prefer driving time over reporting time.

I called my scheduler and offered to do a gas station "in the boonies" for $100, as I had several other shops in the area that would give me a $400 day (6 hours round trip drive time). They turned me down.

The scheduler called me a week later, begging me to do this orphan gas station -- mystery shop, no audit.

I laughed and told her I would do it for $175.

Accepted immediately.

Six hours of drive time, 11 minutes for the shop, 25 minutes for the report.

I would have happily done it a week earlier for $100. They cost themselves $$$ by turning down my offer!
Wow, I'm so jealous of all of you. I've been shopping for over 15 years, and MF was one of my first MSCs. In all that time I have never gotten them to go more than $5 over base, even for shops that are more than 4 hours away or that never--I mean never--get taken because of being in remote locations. PLEASE send me some of your good luck!
Happy to share. I will say that I've been working with MF since 2009, and EVERY time a scheduler called me, I got their name and phone number. I have a list now of about 40 schedulers with them. When I see a shop I want, I start going down the list and leaving phone messages.

One thing to know, if you've done a shop for them for $5, you're "locked" into that $5. I made that mistake early on, thinking I was "paying my dues", getting my foot in the door, building a record with them as a reliable shopper, all that. I also learned that if you don't do that shop for months and months and months, your "pay history" for that shop eventually falls off. Then you're free to shoot for the moon.

And be really, really nice to the schedulers! After a few phone conversations, I feel comfortable asking "how's your mom doing?", "how are your courses going this semester?" "how's your boy doing?".

Even the ones in the Philippines (can't spell it, LOL!) have their own stories...did you know they earn $6-10 A DAY? So when they offer an additional $2 to do a shop, to them that's a great deal of money? The government mandated minimum wage there for non-agricultural workers is about $5 a day, so the ones who work for MF call center consider themselves very, very lucky. It is incomprehensible to them that we have to have $80 for a shop that's 100 miles away. The reimbursement for a FF meal for MF is like a whole day's pay for one of those call center employees.

Good luck.
I usually do a few shops for MF every month and I have never seen the make an offer option. There are tax shops and cell stores that have been sitting there for months, the dates keep changing but the $ stays the same. I won't do any more $7.50 cell stores. I was using them as fillers for routes but they take too much time, in my opinion.

I haven't been locked into a past fee. The scheduler may mention that last month, I did it for $xx. But I don't hesitate to explain that circumstances have changed. Maybe last month I was in the area, maybe this month it's a hot end-of-month shop (got one of those tomorrow), or maybe I don't give any reason at all. I just state what it will take.
I just made an offer for $35 on what began as a $7.50 shop. They assigned me within minutes. This was a shop I've done in the past, just recently, so I'm apparently not locked it at $7.50?

This reminds me of a scheduler who called me and asked if I would do a shop for $8 bucks. I told her it was on the board for $30! tongue sticking out smiley

I have had a similar experience with them. Matter of fact, they will acknowledge having offered a higher bonus but not currently authorized to offer that much. For two specific locations I've worked the bonus from $18 to $24. Regardless of the situation, I can't get them higher than $24.

On Sunday they offered $23 for one of the locations. I explained it was Sunday and I had commitments. The scheduler enthusiastically asked if I could fit it in for $24. I had to think for a few seconds then ask them to repeat the offer. I felt like asking them to explain the significance of the extra dollar. Based on the information as to their daily wage, maybe they get to keep that extra dollar or a percentage of the maximum bonuses they are authorized to offer? Just working their pay plan?

I have had a few great offers go through lately on easy cell phone shops. Two different locations about 30 miles from me, and they both got accepted at $60 each. I also got accepted for another 2 miles from me at $28.
I saw the thread this morning and was persuaded to go for a chicken shop that usually pays $5 fee. It was offering $10 and Make an Offer. (Shop has to be done today.) I doubled it to $20. Six hours later, it is still posted and I have not heard back. At least I wasn't counting on it for dinner. The best I have done is $25 for $7.50 wireless shops that go begging. I think I made an offer of $10 over the posted fee.

Shopping SoCal and Maui.
I have had the typical cell phone shop (started at 7.50) acccepted at 68.00. I had to drive a total of 1.5 hours.

I have also had a grocery shop accepted for 60.00 with $10 reimbursement. I had to drive a total of 2 hours for that one.

I will also pick up make offer grocery shops 25 minutes away for $30, + $10 reimbursement maybe one a month, once every two months.
They offered me $250 for a gas station in the middle of nowhere, but it was 200 miles away, so I didnt take it because they wouldnt go higher.
I have offered $60 and been accepted within minutes. There was about 50 miles of travel, I also picked up a few other shops in the area, to make a good day, actually a half day of 150.
